Elite Daily Cocktail Hour.

Hi all, 

DH and I are looking at a cruise on the Constellation next Jan. We just reached Diamond on Royal so we know we'll transfer our status over and be Elite for the cruise. I've read in the CC benefits there is a daily cocktail hour from 5-700pm each day. But what I can't find is whether that is only in a certain lounge like it is on Royal, or is it in any bar on the ship and you just need to order from the specific cocktail hour menu that's provided?

Any help much appreciated.

It is available in all bars, except those  in  the dining rooms.

Any bar except MDR and WCB and not on embarkation day. The drinks are from the HH menu. Just don't get from Casino bar as they use the poorest quality mixers. I dumped my Cosmo from there and got it at the Martini bar.

I think World Class Bar is exempt?  What about Martini Bar?

When you arrive in your cabin you should have a sheet with the list of Elite benefits on 1 side and the Elite events on the other side.  The dates, time and location of the events.  The Happy Hour drinks are not available in the dining rooms or restaurants on any ship.  The bars are different on each class of ship so check the sheet for the bars offering the Elite Happy hour ( that is most of them).

It's like RC (except no CC drinks offered in the dining venues or theater), you can enjoy your drinks at most bars. Ship specific as to which bars.  Also no CC HH on the first day (embarkation). Refer to your CC flier that will be in your cabin for all CC Elite perks/benefits, events, where and times.  No dedicated CC lounge like the CL.

Martini bar for sure and at least you'll get a decent drink even glass of wine. Wine is house brand and if you are a fan of sauvignon blanc there is a pretty decent one from Chile. Can't get HH drinks in WCB

I’m just off Solstice. It was available at all bars except the restaurant and World Class bar. Here is the Elite info from our cruise. Have a wonderful cruise

You do know that on Royal they no longer restrict it to the Crown(Diamond) Lounge?

 

As others said it's 5-7 at all bars except for a couple, no restaurants(you can get it at a bar and bring it into the dining room) and not on embarkation/1st day. Most important, unlike Royal, the free drinks is from a selected list, and doesn't apply to all drinks. Whatsmore you can't pay a supplemental for a drink that isn't included, for example you can not order a frozen pina colada from the Elite Happy Hour, and if you do you will pay full price for the drink unless you have a drink package.

I've even had the odd Cosmo made with GG vodka during HH I guess because the bartender already had it in his hand. Other times he made me a lemon drop but I guess he was just a really nice friendly bartender. This was on the Apex TA last year.

Definitely all about the individual bartenders, location of bar, how busy, and of course how YOU treat them.

The bartender that served me most nights was the sweetest Filipino and seemed so kind.  One night I was in the mood for a glass of pinot noir and he found a bottle of the Elegance which was left over so poured me a glass during the HH. He said most guests don't ask for wine at the Martini bar so it was my lucky night.  I tipped him a few $$$.

I was just wondering about this as well as we are Elite on Celebrity. I thought this would be an organized event in a lounge with hor d'oeuvres. Has anyone done the Captain's Wine Tasting? I would love to hear the details on that event.

You must not have been on Royal for a while because now you are no longer limited to a single lounge

Its ok its free and fun to do on a sea day if you're not busy. I wouldn't pay for it.

one important clarification; On the nights of the "Elite Cocktail Lounge" in Sky Lounge you can still get all the Elite drinks at the other bars .

Casino Bar has the best sodas (Canada Dry rather than Royal). You can get the water etc in unopened bottles enough to last you all the next day. We usually pick up ours in Al Bacio. As we don't drink alcohol we also pick up a fruit juice from the Passport Bar as we go in to dinner in the MDR.

In general, it's minute quantities of the lowest quality of wine onboard with several waiters and sommeliers making bad jokes.

I did it a couple of times; not worth me leaving my pool lounger to attend.
