Never had a Window Suite - which is the best on the Grand Princess

Considering a Window Suite on the Grand Princess. Which cabin is the best? I know people love these cabins.

Also - do I need to worry about smoke from the casino? Any noise from the Theatre?

Does the cigar bar still exist? I was thinking this repurposed?

Thanks in advance!

Theresa

We have had two cabins.  Without looking at the cabin numbers from memory I think it is F307 which we loved.  Then we had F305 .   Same great cabin but at the time the air conditioning  didn't work properly and we froze.   Princess didn't want to do anything about it as it was going into dry dock.  Got some credit.  So at the time not our favorite location. LOL

Smoke was never a problem in the cabin. As long as the doors were closed at the end of corridor down near F301 the hallways were fine.   If you see the doors open just close them.  I'm asuming the room steward leaves them open while working.  .  BTW that cabin at the end is smaller.

Very quiet locations.   Convenient to the Atrium.

Only noise might be you are below the Promenade deck.  And you know how early morning runners like to get out there.   Really wasn't bad or all the time.

We have been in F309 and our neighbors were in F307 on the Grand.  Seems like F307 forward has trouble with the AC, not only learning this for the previous post but also while my neighbors in that cabin on a previous cruise.  So, F309 would be my #1 choice.
I would stay away from the ones right by the hallway door entrance as some fellow passengers were complaining about the noise from the door constantly opening and closing.  We never heard a thing and never even a hint of smoke from the casino .. thank goodness.
The only small disappointment with that cabin is that when trying to soak in the jetted tub, rusty water came out of the jets.  I can’t imagine that was an isolated problem to that cabin alone.  Other than that F309 was a perfect choice and we’ve stayed in that cabin twice.

I've been in F303 and F307, enjoyed them both. The oddball cabins are F301 (less counter space under the windows) and F315 (handicap room). Zero smoke or noise from the casino as the stewards lockers buffer the sound. Try to keep the doors at either end of the hallway closed to reduce the number of stray passengers wandering in your area. F303 had some strange coloring in the bathroom tiles, a re/pink florescent color IN the tiles, not on the tiles near the toilet.

Great deals in a great location. I have one more booked for Jan, '25 and one on the CB in '26.

Runners should not be allowed to use the Promenade Deck, especially before 8 AM.  Thump, thump, thump.

Once I took a bottle of bleach to "disinfect" the tub jets.  Won't do that again.  On another trip, the water from the faucet was coming out brown (my cabin mate placed a wash cloth to "filter" water).  I prefer showers, thank you.

Guess you are not a runner. LOL

Thanks. I had reserved F311. Doesn't seem to be a favorite. May switch that.

I haven't taken a bath forever so not worried about the tub.

I am a morning person, not by choice. It just happens that way.

Window Suites still get full suite benefits? Sort of surprised when I was looking at cabins, it was listed under mini suites. On my last several cruises I have not used my balcony at all. This may be a good option.

Yes, Full Suite Benefits.  Keep F311.  You will be fine.  Shorter walk to the dining room.  Which cruise will you be on?.

More importantly, on the Grand, there is a women's bathroom on either end of hallway doors.

I am looking at February 15th and 22nd (2026).

This is something I have been meaning to do for a while. My Mom died several years ago and I am thinking of taking her to sea (with Princess's help obviously, her wishes). Her first cruise was in 1984 for her 40th birthday and was a Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan on the Sun Princess. My first cruise with her in the 90's tried to hit as many similar ports. Her birthdate will be during that time (over the first cruise) but the ports on the 2nd cruise are closer to what she originally did. Plus, I don't like flying for 7 nights. I haven't been back to the Caribbean for a very long time. This is something I have needed to do for a while and she loved the Grand Princess. I think I am running out of ships she has been on - there is the Grand, the Crown and the Sapphire. She didn't like the Crown.

When the Grand was announced it was doing the Southern Caribbean - it seemed like the right ship and right route to do. She loved the Caribbean.

The five cabins F303, F305, F307, F309, and F311 are identical to each other (or mirror images). The only difference is location. F311 is closer to midship and to the dining room. F303 is closer to the theater.

F301 is a little smaller than the others, so it would normally be the last choice. It is still large enough for two people and has plenty of storage. It is small only compared to the other five.

F315 is fully wheelchair accessible. It has a large walk-in (or wheel-in) shower and no tub. It also has a wider doorway to handle a full-size wheelchair. It is obviously only a choice for those who need it.

If you have some mobility problems but are not wheelchair confined, the other suites should be adequate. They have walk-in showers and plenty of room to store a walker or wheelchair in the suite. You may have to collapse the walker or wheelchair to get it through the door. Also there is a slope up from these suites to get to the midship exit. F315 is at the higher level and does not need to climb the slope.

No mobility issues. Thank you.

Anyone comment on cigar bar? Has it been converted to an arcade room? I vaguely remember this.

The last time I was on the Grand was Christmas 2021. It was closed due to COVID.
