Maybe pack some Liquid IV next time?

😂😂😂 I’ll be ok…started at noon(ish) until now, and they did serve me 3 bottles of water with last 5 shots of tequila. So I think I’ll be ok.

Sorry about the tech issues. I hope it gets fixed!👍

Me too! Like I (hope) I said, it’s been the only real hiccup this cruise. But with how they are relying on technology now a days, it’s kind it a big hiccup. I don’t want to spend an hour or so sitting at a bar (ok, fine, if it was alchemy I’d be ok with it!) but otherwise I could be out & about doing things until my phone tells me the table is ready. I guess that’s a plus to the set dining time.

You know, I have to say I was disappointed for no awesome lunch, but the small crowd did make it so we got to interact with all the senior staff that attended.

I have! Every day! 😁

Maybe being nostalgic, but the opportunity to have a light conversation to me, was a great perk.  When Covid came, it went away.  Our next two are on Celebration, so the numbers may make that hard to do, but hope springs eternal.

Isha has made me 2 drinks with the habanero infused vodka. The something strawberry & spicy (not pictured) was good, but this…it’s perfect! Not too sweet and with a good amount of heat. I love it, she gets an A+!

This looks delicious - what was it? Something raspberry & spicy maybe?

On our B2B, we had a bottle of water with every drink and it was a great plan. Melissa at atrium bar ALWAYS pushes the water but by the end of our first week most of our other bartenders were automatically handing us water when we ordered drinks. It made such a huge difference.

Alright, I’ve been struggling with how to post/word/phrase this next part. Please don’t flame me and think I’m being a royal B…it’s so far the only negative experience we have had on the ship.

From my previous reviews, you may notice I try and post the FunTimes and menus. Well, so far this sailing the Hub App isn’t working for me nor Chris AT ALL. Like…it’s dead in the water. We both tried uninstalling and redownloading it on our phones, with no luck. Went to Guest Services yesterday after we had to manually check in for brunch, they did the same, no luck. Tried to install it on my iPad today, no luck. Guest Services has never followed up with us on the issue either. It wasn’t a huge, huge deal until tonight, when we went to dinner. We explained the issue, and the hostess told us to take a seat at the bar, it would be about an hour wait there were 300 people checked in ahead of us. I’m sorry, I don’t want to spend an hour sitting in the MDR bar. Alchemy sure, but the MDR? I told them to cancel us we would just go to Lido, and they told us to please wait they didn’t want us to leave and a table was ready for us in about 10 minutes. I felt bad “jumping line” tho.

After dinner I headed to Guest Services to see if we could get the issue somehow resolved…move us to set dining maybe? I left feeling absolutely defeated and a little ticked off to be honest….the agent said there is nothing at all she can do to help me. NOTHING. I get she can’t fix the app…that’s beyond her control. However I asked about moving to set dining, she said no, it’s full. I asked what to do about having to sit in the dining room for an hour or more after I check in…her response was to “go well before you’re ready to dine.” I told her I don’t want to spend my vacation time waiting, and she shrugged.

I left before I blew my fuse, and I plan to go back tomorrow to see HOW we can get this resolved. I do not feel like it was handled well today at all. Like I said, this has been the only bad service/issue this trip, and I hate to let technology ruin my vacation, but it kinda is. I don’t want to spend valuable vacation time sitting in a dining room waiting to be called for my table. It’s one thing if it is 10-20 minutes, but an hour? No. Not acceptable.

ANYWAY…dinner was very good with excellent service. I had the Girdo Street salad, which was yummy, and the shrimp poke, which didn’t disappoint. The Indian Vegetarian was A+++….spicy and delish! Chris said his roasted sirloin of beef was top notch and cooked perfect. I finished with a cheese plate, as I didn't want anything sweet.

We were on the Vista last week and had the same issue with the hub app. Chat never worked at all (which I knew could be spotty) but we never could notifications for dinner.

We would check in for dinner about 5:45 and it would show a 30 minute wait. Then we would not get any notifications. We would go down after 30 minutes and be told there was another hour wait.

Multiple trips to guest services was no help at all, I get it they are not  tech folks.

At the end of the day we would check in then go see the hostess 30 minutes later. She would find us a table. Speaking to other guests this was a reoccurring issues.

As info the phones in our group were 2 iPhone 12’s, an iPhone 14 and an iPhone 14 Pro

That sounds pretty awful, to be honest. We went to guest services two or three times to get one dollar bills and once to have them check on our steakhouse reservation because it didn't show up in the Hub app. Most of the time we were already at the atrium bar so we just popped over to GS when there was no line. Sometimes they were incredibly helpful but there was a guy working there who was just borderline rude and just said no, we don't have any ones. One of the others working there overheard him and said she could help me. Towards the end of the second week we found out there was a bill changer in the casino. That's how little time we spend in the casino, we had no idea. It was actually another guest who told us that. If rude dude had nicely told me, I wouldn't have "bothered" him again.

I’m hoping Guest Services can help you tomorrow. You’re not being a B****. A vacation should not be hard.

Thank you…I hate to complain and debated even posting the issue here, but I also want my reviews to be honest with any issues.

They keep telling us it’s an isolated issue. 🙄 I have an iPhone 13 Pro, Chris has an iPhone 12.

yikes! The first GS employee we had tried so hard to help, but the girl last night didn’t even try. I don’t know if she even notated the issue in the system, as she never asked my cabin number.

How you feeling this morning?

I feel great! Chris feels a little rough tho…he got “home” after shutting down Alchemy and literally fell into bed. He’s had coffee, water & Gatorade so far this morning to help him “get ready to dive.”

We got up about 830 this morning and went to see Setyo at Ocean Plaza for coffee, but I think she’s getting some well deserved time off. A gentleman made our coffee, and we then decided to go to the MDR for breakfast.

Upon checking in (and explaining the issue of why we weren’t using the app yet again) we took a seat at the bar. I will admit, at this time I did post to John Heald’s page about the issue, as we are halfway thru the cruise and I’m tired of the same conversation every time we go to the MDR. An officer in a white shirt came by and asked about the issue as we were sitting, and we explained it and I voiced my frustration that no resolution could seem to be found…not even being switched to assigned dining. He told me that assigned dining was over full and that this is isolated to just us apparently, he’s heard no other reports. Another officer in a white shirt came over and took us to our table, and breakfast was delicious. My eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly!

As we were finishing eating, the officer that I had voiced my frustration to came over with a white card…magically, they had one couple swap to YTD yesterday, so a table for 2 is available at the 5:30 dinner seating. ILL TAKE IT! Thank you!!!

OMG I pray Chris is NOT going scuba diving after consuming alcohol last night! Big no no when taking diving course, absolutely NO alcohol minimum of 12 hours before diving.  Please be careful.

he says his last drink was about 11, and his dive is 12:30, so he says he will be ok. I’m not a diver so I don’t know these things!

We got off right when the announcement came from Marty that the gangways were open, which was about 11:05. I walked Chris to the taxi stand and then took off for the beach. The water was calling my name!

That water…ahh! Heaven! It’s so clear and the perfect temperature today. I stayed in for about an hour, just floating and enjoying it. There were tons of fish to be seen…striped ones, white ones, solid blue ones…they were everywhere!

I came back aboard about 12:30 and grabbed a veggie burger from the deli with a side of cream spinach on the buffet (nice & garlicky and DELISH!) and then some salted caramel gelato for dessert (other choice today was passion fruit).

Now I’m headed back to the Havana area to read more of my book!

Some kind of medical emergency onboard, they called for blood donors about 2 hours ago and we are still in port. Prayers to the patient and their family/friends onboard.

I stayed in the Havana area all afternoon and finished my creepy book I was reading. It was pretty quiet until about 3, then you could tell people were coming back onboard. I left about 415, and I was showering off Chris came back from his dive. He said that he would absolutely dive with the company again.

At 5 we went to alchemy and secured seats there. Isha made me a something bourbon and espresso, knocked it outta the park! Mirela followed it up with a something coffee & raspberry, and it was excellent!

She's not the diver so why would she need the facts?

I googled, and they all say 8-12 hrs before a dive to cut off alcohol. I lectured Chris when he got back onboard. Technically he did cut off 12 hrs before, and I mean…he’s an adult…in the end, I can lecture but I can’t control his actions.

@pirate4me2 how was Chris's dive today?

He said it was good, and he would dive with them again. Saw a ton of fish, a barracuda, but no sharks (thank goodness!) or octopuses (darn it!).

At 5:30 when the steakhouse opened their doors I decided to walk over and see if they had any openings for Chris’s birthday dinner. They were wide open, so I secured the 6:00 time slot. Service and food tonight blew the other night (which was still great!) out of the water. I got the mushroom app, which was so flavorful and delicious, the filet mignon with spice rub (absolutely melt in your mouth delicious tonight!) with Mac & cheese (yum!) and mushrooms (yummy!) and cheesecake to finish it off. Our server was super attentive, and it was just a great, great way to end the day!

We are now back at Alchemy sipping (really, we are sipping & taking it easy!) drinks and interacting with the alchemists. Isha sang (and made everyone else sing too!) happy birthday to Chris. It’s a good, fun vibe tonight.
