Best Piano Entertainer on Carnival?

I had a blast with Brad Alexander on my Carnival Liberty trip October of 2007. I missed most of the shows on the ship because I spent most of my evening in the piano bar singing along with him and some other regulars. He's smart and sassy and sweet, and after midnight, a bit saucy a well :p Very talented and entertaining!

I noticed that he was back on the ship again this year but have no idea if he will be back when I take my cruise in a few months - I hope so!

Yes indeed you did do some... err.... a lot of carousing on BC4.

And yes, I'm booked for BC5.

 

But since the "Woman to Blame" is a smoker, she won't be spending as much time in the Piano Bar. So I guess it will be me and you carousing in the piano bar... along with a hundred of our closest friends & crazies.

We absolutely LOVED Brad on our last Liberty cruise! We laughed until our sides hurt, sang until we had no voice, and am hoping he will be on our next Liberty cruise!

he has not decided if he is signing again on the Liberty for next fall. The ship goes into

drydock in Oct. for a couple of weeks. Hopefully he will sign on for another contract

for us to see him again in Dec. John & Priscilla :) :)

Is there any way of knowing who will be on the Carnival Fascination in the beginning of November? I am too anxious to wait!!! I know I probably will have to wait though :(

 

We would love to see Jordan again, but I know he is in CA where he loves to be.... We would really love to see Lorraine though too! We loved her!!! I wish we could do requests for the Piano Bar Entertainers!! :D

Hi folks,

 

Sorry I haven't been around here as much. I'm working on getting the Dream and the Glory replacements. And honestly, unless I hear from the entertainer or somebody who knows an entertainer future dates are pretty tough to get. I've asked John Heald about possibly getting future dates made available and he said he would work on it. However, with all the uproar that happened when John's schedule changed and people bitching about how they booked expecting him to be on board, I can't see Carnival being very willing to release any kind of future dates for entertainment on their ships, especially on a schedule as changeable as musicians'. But we shall see.

 

I've been spending a bit more time over on the Facebook Carnival Bar-Barians group, because we've been having some of the entertainers reporting in about how the new non-smoking piano bars. Happily it seems that most are reporting an upswing in business, plus they are happy to be able to breathe!

 

Bruce McGhie on the Elation told me: "My second "no smoking" cruise. There is no doubt about it now. The piano bar is working very well with this new policy. In most areas. More drinks, people staying longer, then returning later. No one now using the bar for a quick smoke between courses during meals..... chasing no smokers away, then they leave!!"

 

Russell Villarin on the Ecstasy posted: "I just finished a 4 day cruise of "Non-Smoking Piano Bar". It is great!! bigger tips more guest and revenue was up 30% more!"

 

Brad Alexander on the Liberty posted: "I have been busier than ever in months over the last two nights on the Liberty.....GREAT crowd!!! People are there for music and laughter.....it's refreshing!!!"

 

Others are reporting good things too. Time will tell, and hopefully the uptick isn't temporary from all the attention the new smoking policy has garnered.

We had Billy J Clay on the Elation when she was here on the West...he is awesome and sooo much fun! Will play anything you like, change up the words a bit...fun! Along with Jordan Heppner, Billy is my fave! Buy him a few beers (he likes Corona) and he'll keep the place open!

Bear with me folks, there is a lot of musical chairs going on as we hit mid July and a few benches come open.

 

The first shift I can report is that Chris Novak is leaving the Magic on July 10th and coming back stateside to take over the Freedom on July 16th when Dave Filsinger finishes. I don't know who is taking over on the Magic yet, but I should be able to find out next week. Unless someone else can find out sooner?

Good voice, fine playing and a real rapport with the guests. He said he will be moving to the Inspiration soon, so I wonder who the Carnival Splendor will get?

We had him on the Splendor and he is absolutely great! We were in the Piano bar every night. I am sure you will enjoy him. Very entertaining!
