What's in your clutch?

Recommended Posts

Maybe you and and your DH are "glued at the hips" type. My DH and I are not.

It's possible that we might be someplace after dinner - say a show - and after a while one of us would rather go to the casino or go meet so-and-so for a drink in the lounge. Without my S&S card, I couldn't get myself a drink or back into my room. Basically, I'm then held hostage by a little piece of plastic. No thanks.

Also in my evening purse is money for the casino in case I'm feeling lucky, digital camera, lipstick, tissues, mints and my social card.

since i travel solo i have to carry some sort of a bag or wear something with pockets. it only has my sail and sign, a few dollars for tips at the bar and a small comb for my hair if i go out on deck and i get all wind blown. very light and simple. oh, also a small package of breath mints for after dinner.

You all have good points and I think I will take the one I have since it is small and won't take up much room. That way if I see there is a need, I have it.

My last cruise, I did carry one with a very small camera in it, but never once used it. I guess I'm just not a picture taker.

When on land, I carry a fairly large style purse and would like not to have to carry anything at all.

Lipstick, money, seapass, hanky, reading glasses, camera, business cards.

Sometimes I only need my seapass and then I keep it in my pocket if I have one and that way I don't need to be held hostage to a handbag/clutch. (or DH either!).

I can't imagine carrying a bag, although maybe I'll bring a small one (after I buy a small one :p) with me "just in case".

DH and I are usually pretty "Glued at the hip" on vacation, so I think I can make him pocket whatever I'm desperate to bring along.

But, maybe once I Get there I'll find that we do have different interests and then the bag will come in handy.. who knows!

That is the exact reason I stopped carrying a larger purse! Not just the DH, but the DS and DD too  . Now, when they absolutley have to have something, they have to carry it themselves.

I don't carry a whole lot in an evening bag, pretty much what others have mentioned here. But, I think of an evening bag as an accessory, just as much as my jewelry.

Don't forget...oil blotting sheets, your tide pen (in case you get a stain) and a tampon...if you need it.

Shudder.....anybody who doesn't want to get old, just think of the tampon days and you'll be glad to age!!!!!!!!!!:D :D

Crucero-Amante and Caviargal,

You put more perfume on as the evening wears on? I don't think I've ever seen anyone carry their perfume with them.

I never wear a strong perfume in the evening or in enclosed areas so sometimes I do re-apply a small amount. (Not like I stink or anything :o :))

there used to be something smaller than a lipstick,, you put some perfume in it and there was like a sponge applicator.. almost like a mascara wand you would pull out to 'touch up ' your perfume.. haven't seen one of those in a very very long time...

I'm sure you don't "stink"! LOL!

I was just curious.
