I am watching your posts on the Jewel - they have been brilliant!! - given me some inspiration to travel across the pond!! - we are on Jewel for a quickie 4 - nighter on 27/4 - this will not be enough!! - Your posts have kept us going - my husband and I work very long hours in out little convenience store and we have been watching you all the way - enjoy the rest of your cruise and thankyou again for helping us to look forward to ours.

Thanks so much Radio! What a wonderful report. As for the scooter in St. Thomas, did you feel safe riding one? I have always wanted to do something like that. I travel alone usually and I feel that is the best way to get where I want to go within reason. Are they rented on the half day, hour, ?? What is approximate cost? Thanks so much and enjoy the rest of your trip. I have been to Nassau several times by land and sea and it has its own character, doesn't it?

Question: what cabin cat are you in and cabin #? I'm book in a cabin on deck 7 with a over hang in the front of the ship. Your bridge shows these cabins. Do those cabins have lounge chairs?

Hello everyone ! ! We are are currently just a few miles from Nassau. We should be tied up at the dock by 1130AM.

 

With us today will be Carnival Celebration, Sovereign of the Seas, and Costa Mediterrania. The for cast is for 86F, and mostly sunny.

Awesome pics dad. You know that pic of all of the balconies that you took from way out on the side, I'm glad no one was sunning in their birthday suit! Nice to see you're taking some deserved time off & doing what you love to do: riding scooters all over the caribbean & becoming famous on the internet! Can't wait to see your next video! Hello everyone! Today was a very relaxing day in Nassau. I started my day by walking around many of the shops. I walked a few blocks up to the Royal Colonial Hilton. It was very nice up there. They offer a day pass for Cruise Passengers for $15.PP. That will allow the use of towels, chairs, the pool, beach and restrooms. I got a late start, so I just hung out there and took a few photos.

I considered going up to Cable Beach, but my sunburn decided for me not to head up there. I started walking back to the ship, when I found an Oasis!! There was a Starbucks, just a few blocks from the pier. I shouldn’t drink much coffee, but I love a cup of Starbucks Coffee…… I headed back to the ship at around 3. I was talking to the Security Guard at the Sovereign, and I was surprised to find out that the Sovereign, doesn’t leave until 1AM. . . . and they arrived in Nassau before Jewel of the Seas.

There farewell show was held tonight, and was very good. They will also be having the Battle of the Sexes Game Show, late tonight…but I think I will be out by then.

We left Nassau today by 6PM, and we should arrive in Port Everglades by 6:30 tomorrow, and by tied at the dock by 7AM.

With us in Fort Lauderdale tomorrow will be:

I am not in a hurry to leave the ship, because I will be staying near Disney on Sunday night, and catch the Auto Train on Monday. I will try to take as many Cabin Photos as allowed tomorrow morning.

Yes, the Jewel has the outdoor open seating too. It was a favorite place for us as well. Funny, it was really never crowded out there - I don't know if people didn't know it was there???? We'll be on Serenade enjoying that spot in 3 weeks!!!

A while back you had written that you are going on a Canada/New England cruise on Grandeur this summer. Which cruise will you be on? Reason I ask is because I will be on the 7/27/07 Grandeur to Canada/New England. It would be great to meet the famous Radio in person! Also if you have any pics of the aft JS cabins on deck 8, that would be great as I'll be in 8586.

I introduced my boss and her husband to CruiseCritic, and she was excited to see the pictures of her future cruise "home". As you disembark today, they'll be getting on the ship, and will spend their first seven days at sea. I'm hoping that they have a laptop with them so that they can see your final pictures before getting on the ship. Oh well, I'm sure they'll be living it "live and in person" very shortly!

I may very well be going on that Sailing ! ! I haven't booked it yet though. I own a Travel Agency, and the T/A rates usually don't appear until about 30 days out. . . Hop eto see you on board ! !

 

I do have pics of an AFT JS...I will search my PC when I get home, and post them. My first Cruise on Grandeur was in a JS for Mrs Radio and I, (and 2 kids)
