Hello!!

I was just on this cruise, got off this morning!

You will have the greatest time ever, the ship is beautiful, the staff is amazing.

You have to try the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake for dessert lol.

It is amazing, I had it every night haha.

I wish you a great vacation, and I hope you have as much fun as I did.

The ports of call have amazing weather. San Diego today had horrible weather, It wasn't nice coming back to home with that weather lol

ciao

today, too. I had a great time, but couldn't tolerate the hordes of kids running up and down the halls, stairs, and decks. There was absolutely no supervision for them. They were also under the stair wells by our room.

Our room (1212) was wonderful, and our cabin steward was like a phantom coming in and cleaning twice a day.

I hope your weather improves. Our ports were hot and humid, but our last day at sea was very windy and chilly.

Happy cruising...

Fred:

Thanks for posting and have a fantastic cruise! Can't wait to hear more about it!

In August we'll be on the Spirit for the third time--love that ship! :D I read she was in dry dock last year--how's she look?

Love the roll call pic.

Cheers!

hey fred and wendy! you lucky, lucky dogs!

fred, i had a thought...do you think they'd ever get rid of the aft slide to make room for the new aft adult area once these ships go into dry dock? can ya poke around and see what, if any particulars the crew has on the new plans?

thanks, have a great cruise, and a beer, any beer (i'm not too picky:D) or a pina coloda, or a banana daquari, or a..., oh h*ll!, anything alcoholic... for me! :p :D :p ~ trish

WOW there is only one thing wrong with that roll call pic!

ONLY ONE PERSON HAS A DRINK IN HAND:)

Correction...Two things wrong with that roll call pic. I'm not in it! ;)

Molly, we'll wait together. It'll go by fast.

Fred & Wendy, have a blast! If you get a chance, could you check out the Dancin' Dance Club down on the Riviera deck? I know it's a two level club, but I'm wondering if you can see the bottom level from the top or if it's two enclosed areas. What kind of music are they playing and does it seem to be popular?

Thanks!

YAY! I was away all day celebrating the holiday with family and I was so happy to come back and log in to see your thread, Fred. I love the picture too. Thank you so much for doing this.

We were in an aft corner suite, 8268, on the Pride and we did not have any noise, but maybe because we were more aft (but 8265 and 8268 are not that far from each other)? I don't know. I was really listening for it too because of all the things I read about Panorama deck aft. Maybe we were just out of the room when it was all going on.

How much were the 250 minutes? I am assuming it was a package since you got 20 minutes free? We will be in another aft corner suite on the Spirit, but lower, in 4237, and maybe the wifi won't work as well down there...but I was thinking of bringing the laptap. Not sure though.

Anyway...have a great time and I look forward to all your installments and photos.

Thanks for the insight on your cruise. We have sailed on the spirit several years ago and it was a delight. By reading your thread I feel like I am going down memory lane. Sorta like going back home after being away for a while and visiting the old neighborhood. Looking forward to your future paost.

Tonight, we went to dinner, late seating, 8:15pm time frame, we are seated with 2 couples, one from Reno and the other from Az, both on their first Carnival cruise, great table mates, we had a great dinner night.

I had the fruit plate and a garden salad with italian dressing, then I had the Sweet and Sour Jumbo shrimp, very tasty, then my New York Top Sirloin Steak.

For dessert, I tried the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake and while the ladies where ohh and ahhh, It was way too rich for me, way too sweet. I couldn't eat another one of those till next year.

Wendy went back to the cabin to crash, I headed to the Casino and dropped 30.00, not a good night, maybe tomorrow I can win it back.

The opening show starts at 10:30pm tonight, way too late, we are both tire and since the show doesnt have any comedy or magic, I will call it a night.

Just wanted to mention, I had a slice of pizza eariler and it was very good, they actually know how to make them the way I like them. Will try another one tomorrow just to see if it was a fluke LOL.

Midimary, The Spirit looks great, don't see any difference from the last 2 times, She went into drydock to get her motorpod replaced, she damaged it in Alaska last year.

Skyscanr, That picture was taken at the end of the Meet and Greet, we had a bunch of drinks before it. We didn't want to show that Drunken Image LOL.

Exodus8628, too late we are stuck in this cabin, under the pool, so far tonight, its quiet, Wendy is knocked out already.

Gumballz, The Teens are using the Disco right now, its 2 levels, but will have to see if its see through, I don't think so but will check, I do know it has a stair case that goes down to the lower level.

NepturnesGoddess, 250 Min. is 100.00 plus 3.95 set up fee., we are not doing Portraits this time so we will save there and add it to the internet plan. Yes, you get 20 minutes free. I was in in 4241 on the Pride so I know the location of your cabin on the Spirit, I will head down there tomorrow with my laptop to see if I get any signal by your cabin.

Hendricks Clan, I was at the Platinum Concierge desk today, they were able to answer my CVC question with no problem. You can use it. I had my card just incase they asked.

Wennfred, Wow! It is so great of you to take the time to answer so many individual questions for people. When you said you'd take your laptop down to check on the wi-fi signal, I became convinced you are great people, lol.

I know many of us are saying little Easter prayers that the noise above you is not offensive, that the children are all but unnoticeable, that the food remains great, the skies blue and the seas smooth!

Have a great cruise! :p Tom

How's it going Fred. Long time, no talk. Anyway, really looking forward to hearing about the La Paz Port. I'm actually thinking about either the Elation 6 night cruise that goes there in the fall. Actually, the Spirit will be doing this route 2 times next year for the 7 nighter that you are on. Well, I've gotta pack myself. I'm on the NCL Star on 04/15 for a 8 night to Acapulco, Zihuatanejo, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo. One last question: Who's the Cruise Director these days on the Spirit? Have a great time. The Spirit is a nice ship.

Hi Fred:

Your last report was really interesting because you described all the delicious foods you enjoyed for dinner, keep it up, everyone probably likes to be reminded about delicious dinners served. Just reading about your meal made me very hungry. Glad to hear you enjoyed your mates at the dinner table. It makes the cruise alot more fun.

I have no particulay questions at the moment becasue you've already answered a few. But I'm a CVC member too and wonder how things are working differently since CVC plans were changed. You'll keep filling us in through the week I'm sure.:)

Thanks alot for the reports and have a fabulous time. Maybe you'll get lucky and win some money tonight in the Casino.:D

Fred, you are an inspiration to me....Seeing all of your posts with pics of your meals, well, lets just say I can not touch my food on this next cruise until I take a pic of it. At work, we love to talk about food (when we're not eating;) ) and everyone can't wait to see all the pics of the food. Looking forward to all your pics when you get home. Have a wonderful time.

I'll be sailing 11-06-2007 and am enjoying all of your posts very much.

I heard a rumor that that balcony dividers would be permanently locked and could no longer be opened. If you get a chance could you ask about that when you go to the GR desk for something else?

Thanks,

Reggie :D
