Hey, Fred, the other way to check is just walk along outside rail of the promenade on Deck 3, and look up - you can see from down there whether any dividers have been opened!

And THANKS for the pics and details!

Tell your son, the sushi rocks !!! I had some tonight, and it was very good, they serve 4 different types every night.

By the way, The Spirit now has 14 seat tables !!! Will shoot a picture and upload it tomorrow.

Fred

Hi I appreciate all the help your giving us and thanks for all the pictures. That sushi is delicious I'm sure and eat extra for me. I was just about to ask you to send a picture of yourself also. You have a fabulous day on the Spirit.

Fred you said "Casino Room

Casino last night wasn't smoky at all but you can still smell it. For Texas Hold'em players, they now have 2 or 3 Electronic Texas Hold'em Tables, yep, no more playing cards or dealers, it will take a while to get used to punching in your bets, checks or folds.. Its all self playing, no dealers. This is how they do their tournaments. There is a timer of 30 sec. to make your move, no poker face with this game."

were alot of people playing?

what were the blinds?

who regulates the game?

are there tournements on every boat?

any info would be great!

Tell Wendy she looked FAB on formal night!!

Do suites have DVD players of just VCR?

I have read that they take pictures of you all the time formal, non-formal, coming & going?? Is this true? Do you find it bothersome??

Thanks so much!

that's a nice inside cabin! now, i don't feel so bad. i've never been in an inside cabin, but on liberty, we booked one inside, one balcony (2 balconies for miracle). it looks nice and roomy!

do you keep records of the amt of ice cream you eat? my kids keep track of every ice cream they eat, every cruise. and, every cruise, they try to beat their "personal best" LOL:p , though they must factor in the # of days of the cruise to see if they are truly beating it, as they have more time on a 7 day to chow it down!

wendy looked beautiful for formal night! they did the updo in the salon? good job. did they charge an arm and a leg for it? hmmm...maybe i'll get one next time.

fred, i'm sure you haven't seen this as it was just posted while you were away. maybe you can ask your maitre d' if he allows this. just curious w/ all the jeans wars that go on in this forum.

...BTW, jeans were allowed in the dining room. I asked the maitre d about it because they turned away some teenage boys who were well dressed in button up polos and khaki shorts. They said yes they allowed jeans but no shorts. There was a man at the table next to us who wore the same thing every nite at dinner--jeans with a white t-shirt and suspenders.

Hi Fred!

Thank you for the great ongoing review of your cruise! It is bringing back great memories! We were on that same cruise a couple of years ago and it was one of my favorite cruises.

Did you go see Mrs. Hughes? I loved her!! I laughed so hard that it hurt!!! She is most definitely my favorite commedianne. Be sure and catch her at the Improv she and the crew put on at the end of the cruise. It is a bit risque but hilarious!!!

Molly - the Rubens on the Spirit are the best!! I had one every day... with extra sauerkraut!! ;)

Sounds like a very nice cruise so far..:) I have one more question...Our Cabin for our Alaskan Cruise is a corner aft on the Empress deck..Is there anyway you could look at it if you leave the ship to see if there is any shelter from over head..By the pictures it looks like there will be some from the side..The back is wide open..

Just got off the Spirit Easter Sunday - I asked (at the pursurs desk) to have our balcony divider added to the list to be opened. They retrieved a clip board and added us to the list. As promised, the divider was locked open the next morning while we were at breakfast. The divider was still open when we left the ship on Sunday.

We had cabins 6135/6137 - Connecting balcony cabins.

Great work Fred...

You mentioned tables of 14 in the dining room?? If you can let me know either the table numbers or the location (upper, lower, aft forward etc.)

I have a group of 60 so would like to request them and it always helps to have as many specifics as possible.

Good morning Fred & Wendy! It sounds like you're on quite a cruise...from the woman boxer to the elegant evening gown swimmer! I'm anxious to read what the next chapter will hold! This is great...like a novel you can't put down.

Please tell Wendy that she looked beautiful last night. And, the photo of you with your computer and ice cream cone is perfect! That should be the CC photo of the week! ;)

That is the cabin the lady died in last week in Manzillo.

I just got off the Spirit on Sunday, my understanding is that it was a 95 year old gentleman who passed away. He had family on the ship. Though it was a tragedy at least he passed doing something he wanted to do.

It delayed our departure from 6:00 (scheduled) to 9:30. We arrived in San Diego on time.
