Are you quoting for 1 or for 2? Princess is $1049/ppd for a balcony cabin, which is the cheapest I see for Xmas week out of Houston.

I quoted for one person per cabin. If it's not the full 100% solo premium over double occ, it's pretty close. I just checked the Princess one you mentioned, and I see it at $2198++ for a balcony for one person. If you're seeing $1049++ for solo occupancy, that seems like a pretty good deal for Christmas week. Are you getting a residency or other special discount?

I was quoting per person for 2, so $2198 is accurate for a balconey for a solo. I didn't read carefully enough and missed that you were quoting for inside cabins. Thanks for the info!

A few that I've discovered:

Carnival Splendor, 1/25/15, 7-day Western Caribbean, $374 (50% single tax)

Carnival Splendor, 2/8/15, 7-day Western Caribbean, $464 (50% single tax)

Carnival Triumph, 2/9/15, 12-day Southern Caribbean, $479 (no single tax)

Carnival Triumph, 2/20/15, 10-day Eastern Caribbean, $399 (no single tax)

Note that all of these are lowest posted rates, which means either an inside guarantee or a 1A. I quickly checked some OV, balcony, and suite rates, and those don't seem to be discounted.

I had been watching the 2/20 Triumph trip for a while, and I'm thrilled to get such a good rate. You can find me there and then.

Not a fire sale bargain by any means, but managed the following via TA group space:

Celebrity Equinox 11 night ultimate Caribbean 11/9/15

Concierge Class balcony solo all in $2877 with:

1) Classic Drink Package ($619 value)

2) $300 obc from Celebrity

3) Pre paid gratuities from Celebrity ($137.50 value)

4) $200 obc from TA

5) Triple Captains Club credits

Not everyone's idea of super deal, but a home run in my book! :D

Celebrity also has a bunch of 150% solo rates on their Tuesday deals for next week, if anyone is looking for a cruise in the next few weeks. I always want a balcony and these deals would allow me to have one, unlike most single deals that are for an inside.

MSc currently have no single supplemts on Splendida in Feb 2015 7 Nights

Managed to get Outside for £484 including Flights and Transfers.:)

although for some reason "Cruise only" prices seem higher then "Fly cruise packages" online. When I contacted Msc directly however I believe I could have booked Cruise only for £299.

So advise is call and enquire.

Triumph 11 day southern Caribbean from Galveston to San Juan leaving Feb 9, 2015, inside guarantee $340++. OV guarantee $800++.

Triumph 10 day eastern Caribbean from San Juan to Galveston leaving Feb 20, 2015, inside guarantee $310++. OV guarantee $780++.

If interested at these prices, book by tomorrow night (Nov 19) - this is part of Carnival's current 35 hour sale, though prices were quite reasonable on these two before this sale as well.

Ugh I'm so jealous! Wish I could get that much time off at once. I booked off a week in February and will be looking to book a last minute cruise sometime in January.

Make it a 14 day B2B, with balconies cheaper than insides.

Also, Norwegian Jade 11 day Med roundtrip Rome on Jan 3, 2015, inside $749+$108 tax or oceanview $794 + $108 tax. Similar, though slightly more for Jan 14th (10 days) and Jan 24th departures.

not that this is in the bargain category but since QUANTUM OF THE SEAS is sailing from Bayonne, NJ only until May I jumped on an inside studio cabin when one fell into my lap. There are no studios available at all but when I got word someone cancelled I almost immediately booked it. It's around $1,500 all in which I felt was a decent fare considering the demand

R.C. Explorer of the Seas 7 day leaving London (Southampton) on Oct 2, 2015, sailing to Barcelona has zero single supplement on all cabins.

Inside: $793 base + $108 taxes = $901

Oceanview: $943 + $108 = $1051

Balcony: $1243 + $108 = $1351

Suite: $1813 + $108 = $1921

While not an amazing deal purely on price, it seems more attractive given that that it's almost a year out, it's got as many ports (4) as some transatlantic cruises more than twice as long, and it might be useful as part of a longer trip.
