Thanks for the update.

Would you happen to have any details of entertainers on board?

For the 11 July Eclipse sailing, entertainers were:

Solitaire - the house band

Danny Rodriguez - Solo Guitarist and vocalist

String Harmony duo (two female cellists I think)

Blue Velvet - jazz band

Bella River Duo - female vocalist, male accompanying

Hi Arno, we were on board the Century in February 2014 with you and you lovely wife. Enjoyed our time together in Michael's Lounge. I remember the four of us waiting to disembark in the lounge while the crew had problems with the gangway. Found your post and have been following for several months. Wonderful, much needed information. Can't wait until you get back from your Infinity sail so you can update the ship's "Who's On Board" for our September Panama Canal cruise. Thank you for taking the time to keep all this going!

According to louise1809 who is doing a "Live for Reflection" thread, there's been a change in Cruise Director - Richard Spacey is now on the Reflection. And, Captain Apostolos Bouzakis is back form vacation. Here's the link to her post:

In another thread I got some negative feedback about entertainment/ programming on the Silhouette under the current CD. I guess we got spoiled on the Reflection with Alex Y. in January/ February. Should I change back to the Reflection for our January sailing (even though Alex Y. doesn't appear to be on it right now) or are my fears unfounded?

Hard to answer this.....I guess it depends on how important

the "entertainment" is to you. What kind of fears are you

talking about? Evening shows don't mean much to me at all.

I sailed Silhouette in 2013 and had a great time.

"Fears"= lame games that we've seen for 30 years, electric slide music everywhere, nothing happening after second show except drinking and casino. Not talking so much about the main productions but the rest of the daily programming. The Reflection had unusual after-parties and productions in main areas (Society X). Lots of very hip stuff (Moroccan lounge, electronica under the stars, Mad Hatter party, etc.). The pool music was updated. It was a very nice change from the Carnival experience we had previously and we hoped that this was what all of Celebrity was like.

I have been cruising with Celebrity for 12 years and have never heard

of the events you mentioned. Mad Hatter Party? Electronica Under The

Stars? Never heard of them. Last time I sailed Reflection was Nov 2014

and don't recall either one.

Hopefully you will have a good time on your cruise:)....whatever the

events happen to be on Sihlouette.

Never heard of any of this, either, after many cruises with X.

Sincerely hope that you two get to enjoy great programming like I did. You both sound a bit skeptical that these happened. Trust me, I wasn't the Mad Hatter. :)

Not skeptical here....just saying that after 10 + cruises, we have never had anything like this. So if it's that important to you, I hope you're not too disappointed not to have it on your next cruise. Granted, I'm usually spending my cruises in the casino :D Hope you have a great trip, regardless of what activities they provide. I don't think you can ever go wrong on a Celebrity cruise.

TxnAquarian, you must have better luck in the casino than I do! The craps table was COLD on the Reflection. :-(

Maybe Arno should start a new Version 2 thread

Asking people to just report on current staff members.

I have suggested in past posts that this thread become a Sticky like the ones on cabins. Those interested on staff could simple go to it and see whose on board without having to go through lots of comments unrelated to on board staff. But if the powers to be want this thread to be a catch all, that's their call.

This thread seems to have taken a huge diversion. I thought it was meant as a source of info to keep cruisers up to date on the staff for the Celebrity ships.

It is....I apologize for answering the question that got the thread

OFF TOPIC..........

It needs to go back to "Staff/Crew" list.

That's a good idea. I will second that motion.
