Eclipse cabin 1504:

Deck 11

Class AQ

Area Starboard

Bed near Bath

Quiet? Yes

Balcony view -Unobstructed straight out and asstern. Could see over and under Bridge wing. Not a problem

Balcony size Normal

Wind problem? No

Soot problem? No

Comments: With bed set up as twins, there was literally only 10 inches of space between bed and closet door, making it almost impossible to use. Never unpacked most of our hanging garments and lived out of our suitcases for most of the week. These cabins are very cramped and would not book one again. And we are not large people.

Thanks for keeping this info current!

Ship: Equinox

Cabin #: 6216

Deck #: 6

Class: 2B

Area: Starboard, on the hump

Bed near: Balcony

Quiet?: See Problems

Balcony view: Good, life jacket box below.

Balcony size: Normal

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: During our cruise which sailed on 22/04 we experienced an intermittent loud knocking and whining noise. It sounded like air in the pipes and came from beneath the cabin, causing vibration on the floor. It occurred at various times in the day or night, both at sea and in port. We complained and X did the right thing by moving us to another cabin.

Ship: Equinox

Cabin #: 7163

Deck #: 7, Sunrise

Class: 2A

Area: Port Forward /midship

Bed near: Bathroom

Quiet?: Yes

Balcony view: First straight cabin after forward hump so no view forward or aft of ship. Other than that, no obstruction.

Balcony size: Normal

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: Nice cabin in a good location close to forward stairs/lifts. 4 berth cabin used for 2 pax (Gty cabin). Trundle sofa bed and bed in ceiling. No problem with neighbouring slanting balcony on 7161. It is just the rail that slants not the patio window, so neighbour would have to be stood at the rail to see our balcony, just like any other cabin.

Cabin # - 1510

Class – Agua

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Balcony

Quiet Cabin. NOT!!! This was the worst cabin I have ever been in on any Celebrity ship. It is directly below the gym tread machines. The gym opens at 6:00am and closes at 10:00pm. During this 13 day transatlantic cruise the noise from early morning until late night from the pounding of the runners made us feel as if we were on the boat from the movie "African Queen." Thump, thump, thump....

Balcony View - Fine

Balcony Size? Normal

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? This cabin on the 10th deck is one of the most forward on the ship. Although our crossing was relatively smooth, there was much action this far forward. One week after leaving the ship I am still feeling the motion. I am a former Navy man and have never had this happen before and have never been sea sick.

Any other comments? Great ship and very accommodating crew

Does anyone know or have pics of this room ? Or know what is in a concierge room? This is my first time on a cruises.

Hi debbie and welcome to cruise critic. :) If you click here http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=27978301&postcount=1200

your cabin is listed in the downloadable spreadsheet (1st link for your cabin #) very kindly put together by librarylady19. Not much info but no bad comments.

If you look in the brochure or online it will tell you what you can expect to find in a concierge cabin, or post a new thread on the main Celebrity page to ask as this thread is just for posting specific cabin information. Hope this helps.

For those who have sailed in a CS room, I have a question? What is the best position on the hump for a cabin ( fwd facing, aft facing or on the bumpout). I have looked on the reviews spreadsheet and was looking for any additional information. Thanks to all who have posted on this thread. :)

Ship: Equinox

Cabin#:6308

Deck #: 6

Class: Sunset Verandah

Area: Aft

Bed near: Balcony

Quiet?: Extremely quiet..we thought there was no one next to us until late in the cruise when we ran into our neighbors because we were leaving the cabin at the same time

Balcony view: Unobstructed

Balcony size: standard size

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: Little specks of soot...not enough to make us not book this cabin again.

Problems/comments: The blue roof from the floor below was at the same level as our floor. It was not a big deal, but we were surprised by it. We love the aft view and the sound of the water and the breeze while we sleep.

Ship: Equinox

Cabin #: 1624

Deck #: 11

Class: Aqua

Area: Starboard Mid-ship, near the elevators

Bed near: Balcony

Quiet?: NO, very loud from an air conditioning vent that vented directly on to our balcony. Actually, the vent was above the room next to us 1626, but there was a false ceiling that ran above that cabin.

Balcony view: Unobstructed

Balcony size: normal

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: N/A

Problems/comments: We were extremely unhappy with the noise on our balcony. Everybody that came to our room commented about it. Even a staff member was shocked by it and said he was surprised no one had mentioned it before. We could not have a quiet conversation on the balcony. It stinks to pay extra for an Aqua class balcony and have this kind of noise. They offered to move us, but by the time this happened there were only 4 days left to the cruise and we were tired.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ship: Eclipse

Cabin #: 2117

Deck #: 12

Class: S2 Sky Suite

Area: Mid-ship, near the elevators

Bed near: Bathroom

Quiet?: No see below

Balcony view: Unobstructed no sun

Balcony size: Regular for S2

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: N/A

Problems/comments: Directly under tiled area of Ocean Cafe with both bar stools and chairs on it. We could hear every chair movement, and every single trolly that was wheeled across the floor sounded like a train going overhead! The noise started at 5am with floor cleaning, chair dragging and trolly wheeling, and went on until at least 1am.

Ship - Solstice

Deck - Vista Deck, Deck 8Cabin # - 8228

Class – 1A

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – near balcony, which was great!

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – VERY Quiet!!!

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Could see towards the forward, but not straight down to the aft, but we didn't mind at all!

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - oversized for class due to being on the slant of the hump.

Was wind a problem? - not at all.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? no, it was perfect!

Any other comments? We LOVED this cabin. It was right near the main elevator bank which brought you to the best parts of the ship and the main dining room and oceanview cafe, as well as to the gangway. I am SO happy we booked near the elevators and not towards the front of the ship! PERFECT!!! :D

Ship: Equinox

Cabin #: 6303

Deck #: 6

Class: 2C

Area: alllllllll the way back port side

Bed near: Balcony

Quiet?: yep

Balcony view: Tuscan grill overhang (over a seating area so no noise), but honestly didn't really notice it

Balcony size: Extra-large, The last 6 aft side cabins on deck 6 alll have about an extra 2 feet depth

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: N/A

Problems/comments: Was concerned about the location, but location was great. Its a walk to the elevators, but really the ship is not that big. Our kids were in 6301, a duplicate of our cabin but beds near the bath. Contrary to previous posts by others, the balcony dividers could indeed be opened eliminating the need for connecting cabins. It looks like all the balconies (with maybe some minor exceptions) could do this. Just as the cabin steward to open them.

Ship: Eclipse

Cabin #: 1569

Deck #: 11

Class: Aqua

Area: Midship

Bed near: Balcony

Quiet?: On some mornings there was noise from above at 6.30am, one morning was very bad.. I mentioned this to the housekeeping officer and was very impressed when he phoned me within half an hour to tell me we were below a galley and he would ensure they were notified. There was no noise for the next couple of days but every 2 or 3 days we heard the dragging of furniture. I also had phone calls from customer relations asking if we were still being disturbed. Our cabin steward also asked us each morning if there had been noise. Other than that and a rather loud American next door, who thought the whole ship wanted to hear his business phone call each evening, it was a very quiet cabin.

Balcony view: Unobstructed

Balcony size: Normal

Wind a problem?: None

Soot a problem?: None

Problems/comments: This was our first ever cruise and we loved it, especially Blu.

Ship: Solstice

Cabin #: 2106

Deck #: Resort

Class: C2

Area: Mid-ship starboard

Bed near: Balcony

Quiet?: Not particularly. See comments

Balcony view: Very good view both fore and aft

Balcony size: Largest of the C2s, about triple the size

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: This cabin is in a great spot and very convenient. It is directly below the mens tolilets on deck 14 and there was a constant hissing noise on the balcony that I could only figure was part of the vacuum system they use. Could most definitely hear the loos flush and footsteps at the entrance to the Ocean View Cafe also above, but this of course was only during the day. At night it was quiet.
