Deck - 10

Cabin # 1206

Class – CC

Starboard or Port Side- Aft

Bed near?(balcony or bath) balcony

Quiet Cabin -Very quiet, having the room steward's cupboard beside us kept any noise from our heads. Never heard the stewards using the cupboard ever!

Balcony view - better than I ever imagined!!! Our first aft balcony, sat out there the first night and noticed the Allure passing us port side, Epic was following on the Starboard. They were both lit in beautiful colours and it was a beautiful sight. There were other ships that passed us as well. Wake is spotlit till around midnight. DH commented that beat Movies Under the Stars any day.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized thanks to the steward's cupboard.

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? No. Not much coverage so sunny and hot in the daytime, nightime you could see the stars above your head.

Any specific problems with this cabin? Was a walk to the elevator but not the big issue some have. We looked at it like a well needed walk after all that food!

Any other comments This cruise was April 9-16, 2011. Our first Celebrity cruise. Ship was beautiful, staff was exceptional. Captain Manetas was visible many times and always spoke to passengers. He even made himself available for formal night photos which we loved. Can't wait to return!!

I have made this thread a sticky in hopes that more will contribute.

A BIG thanks to Mysticks1 for compiling this information. It is a BIG job and we are all appreciative.

As Mysticks1 requested, let's keep this thread to posting info on your cabin only. If you have questions regarding specific cabins, please start a separate thread to have your questions answered. It will make it much easier for Mysticks1 to go through the info and orangize it for us.

THANKS, MYSTICKS1 !!!

Hi,

I'm still learning, how do I find this STICKY easier, do I have to do anything, or just find the Celebrity page?

While we are on cabin information does anyone have information on cabin 1599, I hope it is not obstructed. Thank you Mysticks1 for compiling this incredible database of cabin information.

Here are the latest updates to the S-Class Cabin spreadsheet, divided into two parts due to size of the files.

Please email me if you would like the Excel version.

Please don't forget to include SHIP NAME in your cabin review. I will post the form to use when adding your cabin report. Do not use the original form created by Mysticks as the spreadsheet has been modified along the way as additional S Class ships were added.

Ship: Equinox

Cabin: 1631

Deck: 11

Class: AquaClass

Area: Port (about halfway between the hump and the aft-most cabins)

Bed: Near balcony

Quiet: Yes, never heard any overhead noise and never heard our neighbors.

Balcony view: Unobstructed. This cabin is under the overhang but no problem.

Balcony size: Standard size. Enjoyed having a footstool for the chairs.

Wind: No problem

Soot: No

Problems/Comments: Storage space is a bit tight but manageable. We liked the bathroom and the shower. One problem we had was that one evening after we had returned from dinner the toilet overflowed and flooded the bathroom. It was not water from within the stool but rather seemed to be coming from the plumbing behind the stool. We reported it right away, someone came and fixed it, then someone else came and mopped up the floor. The water never went into the cabin proper but was contained and drained directly out of the bathroom. The fellow who fixed it mumbled something about water pressure but it was not really clear what the problem was. At any rate, we never had that problem again.

Class: 1B

Area: Port

Bed near: Balcony

Problems/comments: Well-designed BR with4 shelf glass door cabinet atop 4 shelf cabinet with door to right of vessel sink. Two small drawers left of sink above the foldout trash container. Shelf under sink as well as counter the length of sink wall. Shower has rounded door so plenty of room for plus size people.

Update for your spreadsheet. I wrote the review for suite 9374 that did not identify the ship....it was the Equinox. The Balcony was oversized because it is a corner suite. So there are in fact two reviews for suite 9374; but for different ships.

ship:

Cabin #: 2130

deck #: 12

class: sky suite - accessible

area: aft - starboard

bed near: centered

balcony size: excellent-over sized, due to cabin being handicapped and over sized also

wind a problem?: no

soot a problem?: no

problems/comments:

excellent stateroom; excellent location; the noise from above was only negative & we got so it did not bother us. Plenty of storage & hanging space, great butler and room attendant!!!:d:d:d

Is there a way one can search for a specific cabin post here?

Do you mean a complete listing of all the cabin references here? If so, check out posting number 1282 -- which contains a link to librarylady19's fantastic spreadsheet.

Ship: Eclipse

Cabin: 1545

Deck: 11

Class: AquaClass

Area: Port Right next to front elevators.

Bed: Near balcony

Quiet: Frequent overhead noises from Aqua Spa Cafe above, but only troublesome around 5:30-7:00 AM every morning as someone plays drag furniture as bang doors constantly. We complained but could not be moved, offered some freebies as apology. Don't book this room unless you plan to be an early riser (we are not). I sleep really heavily and it still woke me.

No noise from the hallway or neighbouring rooms.

Balcony view: Unobstructed. This cabin is last balcony without any overhang. View forward to the bridge

Balcony size: Standard size. Seats and footstools very comfortable.

Wind: No problem

Soot: No

Problems/Comments: I enjoyed the extra shower features, DW was less keen on them, preferring the full strength of water from above. Bathroom is a great design. Nice freebies but no slippers in ours. Asked for memory foam pillow which was great.

Hardly touched the Iced Tea, was wasted most days. Preferred the inclusive water. The (UK only) tea tray and kettle didn't get used and was in the way. Stashed this in the over-bed storage but doesn't really fit there either.

Afternoon snacks nice but wouldn't miss them.

Convenient for the relaxation room. Persian Garden was OK but not something I'd rush back to do often. Enjoyed Blu for good food and atmosphere.

Ship: Eclipse

Cabin #: 8140

Deck #: Vista

Class: 1C

Area: Forward Starboard

Bed near: Bath

Quiet?: Yes

Balcony view: Clear

Balcony size: Normal

Wind a problem?: No

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: Very little space between beds when made into twins. Much prefer to have bed near balcony to give space to dress near wardrobe, found the bed near bath configuration very annoying!

Extra lifejackets under bed as this cabin has a double pull out sofa and an upper berth.

Ship: Eclipse

Cabin #: 7107

Deck #: Sunrise

Class: FV

Area: All the way forward, port

Bed near: n/a

Quiet?: Yes except when docking

Balcony view: Partially obstructed by ship's superstructure

Balcony size: Normal

Wind a problem?: No, unless by rail. The obstruction creates a sheltered alcove

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: As has been mentioned before this has an odd balcony, partially obstructed. For our short cruise it wasn't a problem and gave some protection from the elements. The cabin itself is great. Nice large sitting area and two bedrooms. Being all the way forward you will hear the bow thrusters pulling into port in the morning along with some clanking from below as they set the lines up. For someone who likes the Oceanview Bar it's along way away, although the walk was good exercise.

Bed near: Balcony

Quiet?: Very quiet

Wind a problem?:no

Soot a problem?:not at all

Problems/comments: Support struts to overhang of Lido deck not a problem. Overhang being 2 decks above allowed some sun on balcony.

Class: 1C

Area: Mid ship / port

Bed near: Window/ balcony

Quiet?: Yes

Balcony view: Clear

Balcony size: Larger than normal

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: Kettle provided for tea & coffee making tea /coffee in the room. Balcony is triangular in shape as it's located where the ship steps out. You can't see 180 deg (ie to the rear of the ship) due to it's location.
