Looks like she is ready to back up!!

Can't believe I made it!

Looks like she is moving or my eyes have gone bad.

It will take some time for her to back up -- but she is on the move!!

Focus, please!

She sure is taking her time coming out of port..

It takes time to back up a ship.

She is now headed for the channel.

She is in the channel and on her way out to sea.

Bow lights are off and stern lights are on.

With all the lights, cannot see it from our hotel room. :-(

I didn't realize it needed backed up. Thought it was a straight cast off. Nonetheless, nice ship. We were docked next to it when we returned from our last sailing.

Here is wishing all the Westerdam passengers a great cruise.

Westerdam sails silently off into the night.

And she is silently out to sea.

Reading through these posts tonight seemed like old times. We will wave to some of you as you board the Westerdam in San Diego. We board March 5 for a week in the Caribbean before the canal transit. Couldn't pass up all those Caribbean ports. Would have liked to do that last leg with the gang, but then Ed would have to go back to work. And that's not going to happen.
