MyVegas Rewards

Has anyone redeemed a Royal Caribbean reward using MyVegas?

I am up to 970000 coins, and can redeem the coupon for 50% off cruise fare.

Are they flexible with the redemption or are there blackout dates?

I am also considering saving the coins until I get enough for the free 4 night cruise as long as the dates are flexible.

If anyone has any experience with either redemption, I'd love to hear. Thanks!

Make sure you read the fine print and look through the available dates, as they are not flexible at all! We tried to use the Ultimate Drink Package reward when we booked our upcoming Oasis cruise. That sailing was listed under the available dates to use the reward but they would not accept it- I guess our sailing was considered a sale. As I understood it, you can not use a reward with any kind of special sale or discount.

I was able to use the Ultimate Beverage packing back in November when I booked my Feb 28 Indy cruise. I was booked under the Canadian resident Rate. Fast forward to yesterday when I tried to use another one for the March 8 sailing using a Canadian resident rate. Apparently the T&Cs changed 1/12/2015 and they are no longer combinable.

From what I understand, the only ones that are combinable with ANY discounts are OBC & casino free play ones. They are only combinable with restricted rates (resident, senior, military, police/fire). So you cannot use C&A or WOW, or BOGO.

For the % off rewards, the 35% is for any ship/sailing. The 40% & 50% are for select ships & sailings. The % off would be off the full rack rate, so the price before any discounts. You would really need to call the toll free number on the reward to get an accurate price.

Keep in mind that they have been tweaking the T&Cs from the inception of the program so they can change at any time.

There is a thread over on the Casino Board location here:

How do you get to 970,000 I'm only at 36,000 and have been playing for a while... any tricks?!!

Make sure you log in daily to get your spin. Also, the more friends you have on Facebook that are playing myvegas, the higher the daily multiplier on the spin is.

I have been playing since it started (I think 3 or 4 years). We have been to Vegas twice and used rewards to pretty much pay for all our meals. I just used 225K for the ultimate beverage package and still have 247K left. I would say from day 1 I have probably have 1.5 million or so gold coins.

I have never sunk any real money into it.

Did they let you purchase the drink package with a cruise that you bought on a discount, like bogo or other type of discount?

I purchased the drink package, but I had booked the cruise with the 35 percent off reward, and although they told me at the time of booking I could use it, it turns out I could not. Because they will only let you use the 35 percent on a full price cruise, I really wasted those points, as it turned out to be only a 5 percent or so discount from the on sale rate. Had I known that they would not combine, I would have just purchased the drink package with the points. (I was able to refund that, but I did spend 350,00 points on the reduced fare) Seems to me that only the completely free cruise is worth spending the points on for fare reduction.

What are others experiences? The agents certainly don't know what to advise when you are booking, as they gave me all the wrong information!

No, it cannot be added to existing bookings. I purchased the reward then called the toll free number and booked a cruise using the Canadian Resident rate and the Ultimate Beverage package reward. As I said above, the T&Cs have since changed and the drink packages are no longer available with ANY discounts.

The T&Cs are pretty clear that there is only 1 reward per stateroom so you cannot combine multiple offers. Unfortunately some of the folks on the phone don't know as much as they should which adds to the confusion.

You probably still made out better that you would have with the drink package as you would have had to pay full rack to get the package.

Yes, it seems quite difficult to actually book anything except last minute .. and then, it's hard to make it work.

We've used our coins for at least six Vegas trips - probably saved more than $2k between us. I still have more than 550k gold coins to use for something. I got lucky last year and spun 15 million in one spin which allowed me to spin 15k/spin for quite awhile. That really racked up the gold coins!

Hi. So you can't use the rewards points for a cruise that is already booked? I have almost 300,000 rewards points and was going to use them towards an on-board credit on my up-coming cruise.

That is correct. If you read the T&Cs of the reward on the MyVegas site, they say "New Bookings Only"

Yes, a Facebook game. Free, tied to M Life and RCI. You can play it on a computer or mobile device. The Red ('betting') chips are separate; the Gold chips (which you use to buy things like rooms, meals, shows, etc) are linked between computer and mobile device.

There are two apps now - myVegas Slots and MyVegas Blackjack. To get the best bang for your buck you should play both + the Facebook game on your computer. Like the previous poster said all the gold coins are linked.

I know you have to be an mlife member for the vegas rewards but I am not sure about the cruise ones. You can easily sign up at mlife.com.

I am at 450K gold coins. I am saving for the free 4 or 5 night cruise, you just have to pay taxed and fees. I play whenever I have some free time. It is fun for a free app, and all I spend is time. I figure it will be nice to book a last minute cruise in 2016 or so. Hopefully, the RCI deals will still be there.

Also FYI, no redemptions allowed for any Quantum sailings. I learned this the hard way when I tried to use my "Ultimate Beverage Package" redemption on my Quantum sailing. Even though the redemption coupon clearly said "Any Ship, Any Sailing", apparently Quantum doesn't qualify. Escalated the issue, but all I got was a $50 OBC out of it.

Thanks for the replies so far, still waiting on finding someone who has redeemed the free cruise... There has to be someone out there lol

But as far as how I was able to win that many coins, I can tell you it's 99% through the Facebook game. I play through mobile as well, and they are extremely stingy.

Tips on how to win more coins:

1. Daily spin every day.

2. Go to the MyVegas sFacebook page and click their free coins receptions which gets you 2k red chips per click.

3. Always do the different missions.

4. Save enough coins until you can bet bigger... Trust me it's worth it. You can beat your missions way easier betting big.

5. Figure out which games pay out the best bonuses. I have no problem saying that I think the Jack and the Beanstalk game has the most generous bonuses.

6. In general, once you have a lot of coins, you can play Blackjack on the Facebook slots game (go to table games) and help yourself get more coins by betting 50k a hand. I've done this awhile now and have probably ended up breaking even through thousands of hands.

I think you are going to have a challenge finding anyone. From what I understand there were only a couple of those rewards available in the very beginning and they have not been restocked.

I've been checking it frequently and I saw a few available about two weeks ago, and a few maybe a month before that. It should be possible.
