Recent Platinum Cruisers

I was on three cruises last month. The first cruise I received the standard 8 piece box of Godiva chocolates in my room as my platinum gift. On the next two cruises I received a single 4 piece box of Godiva. My question for any recent platinum returnees, did you get the 8 piece or the 4 piece? I am hoping in my case they were just out of the 8 piece and it's not another cutback.

Just returned on Saturday and it was 4 pieces. Thought it was just me.

I was on the sun almost 2 weeks ago and also was downgraded to the 4 piece.

Reading these replies leaves me with but one question, does Godiva make a 2 piece box?

I guess we will find out in the next year or so, maybe sooner....:eek:

Well, they could have substituted a bag of m&m's :) When they stopped putting chocolates on the pillows at night, I brought my own bag of Giaradelli chocolates, and had the butler put them on our pillow at night.:) I guess I'll be bringing my own Godiva's next time.

I enjoyed the 8 chocolates box earlier this year (as gold even). Disappointing if this gift is dwindling down to less and less. Guess I need to lower my expectations for my upcoming Gem cruise.

Not the end of the world, true, but it is an observation that those of us who are at the higher Latitides tiers are choosing to discuss on a message board.

Two 4 piece boxes. My husband is gold - I'm platinum. No chocolate dipped strawberries. Is that phased out for platinum?

Is that for each person? We got 2 x 4-piece boxes on the Star in November. I was thinking one was for me and one was for my wife.

Just off the Getaway last week - 2 Gold passengers in cabin - 1 4 piece box of chocolate.

In July 2014 1- 8 piece box per cabin

In October 2014 1-4 piece box per cabin

Seems like it changed sometime between July and October and we are both Platinum.

We got an eight piece on the Sun in November.

On the Breakaway a few weeks ago, we received 1 four piece box for 2 platinum members.

Four pieces. A friend who just got off the Breakaway on 12/14 got four pieces. Guess it's the new normal.

Just off Epic on Sunday. 8-piece, plus strawberries. Plus mints on the pillow every night.

We just had a week on the Sun and 10 days on the Pearl. One box of 4 chocolates. We used our laundry voucher once on the Sun and twice on the Pearl. The bottles of wine are still available even though we purchased the UDP.

We got the 8 piece box on Getaway in October. It seems Godiva Chocolates are not as good as they used to be. Or is it just me?

I think it is a nice gesture but sooooooo unnecessary
