Lanyards

Can anyone tell me if you can purchase RCCL Lanyards anywhere other than on the ships? My son and his family will be cruising with us for the first time in October and I wanted to get lanyards for all. The RCCL website doesn't have them, or at least I haven't found them. Someone suggested a cruise critic lanyard but I really wanted RCCL. Would appreciate any info.

just off the allure and Royal does sell the lanyards in the gift shop. Some plain ones with Royal Written on them and some sparkly. I wear a bead for life lanyard( a charity for women in Africa). They are very pretty and all colors of beads. If interested let me know.

If you can't find them on eBay, we will be sailing on Sept 30 & Oct. 6, and I would get them for you if you won't be going until the end of Oct, so I would have time to mail them to you.

Thank you for your sweet offer. Our cruise will actually be 10/5 so that won't quite work. I'll give ebay a try. Thank you so much.

Bobbie Jean, we also just got off Allure this past Sunday. We didn't know until yesterday that our son and family were wanting to go in October otherwise I would have purchased some while on board. Guess ebay is where I'll go.

Try ebay.

In my experience, there is almost nothing in the universe that can't be found on ebay.

:D

Make life easy - don't need to go to ebay. Any sports store will have them. Even my bank gave me one on a promotion. Anyone you know go to a convention - lanyards used for ID. Even school sell them as a promotion for sports teams.

Pass on the lanyards.

They are not a good look.

Unless you are under 12.....

I agree. I don't recall anyone wearing their room key on a lanyard at any hotel I've ever stayed at :)

Because I vacation to make you happy!! This post adds nothing to OP's question.

Actually it adds very much to the question.

Some people don't realize what they are doing wrong.

They just need someone to point out what looks good and what doesn't.

Just because you are on vacation, you still want to at least try.

Lol! So true. On our last cruise my 9 year old son got his from Adventure Ocean and he asked me "Dad do I look like a geek with this on" I said no not at your age but don't wear it when you get older.

We use the coiled casino lanyards during the day. They are easy to find when you drop them in your beach bag and they stretch for ease of use without having to take them off.

I agree. I don't recall anyone wearing their room key on a lanyard at any hotel I've ever stayed at :)

A) When I'm on a "land" vacation (or staying at a hotel for anything), I'm usually carrying my wallet out of the room. You know, needing money (whether cash or CC)? That automatically gives me somewhere to hold my key.

B) When with my family and staying in a hotel, we only need one key for the five of us. Occasionally, DW will also carry a key.

C) When staying at a hotel, if I'm in my swimsuit (no pockets), I'm just going to the pool. It's highly doubtful I'll go from the pool to the bar, then rock climbing, then shopping, maybe mini golf, etc.

D) At most land vacations, the ONLY time you need to actually use your room key is to get into your room. You don't use it to get a drink, shop, a snack, etc.

E) Why should I care what you think I look like? :D

Exactly!! I've noticed the person that said that about the "land" vacation has nothing nice or good to say about anyone or anything on these boards and likes to stir the pot.

The the OP: Wear your lanyard and enjoy! I just ordered a waterproof lanyard on Amazon.com that will hold my seapass and my iphone/camera. I look forward to using it sometimes when I don't want to carry a purse around, especially if i'm in my bathing suit. You think it's a bad look? Well I won't ruin my Iphone 5 or lose anything that's for sure :-)

You can find lanyards all over the place, especially on Ebay.

Searching Royal Caribbean on Ebay sure gives you an idea of all the stuff they've given away (or had purloined) over the years!

I like a lanyard during the day to go from room to pool to shops, etc. I take it off when in port and I take it off when we go to dinner and DH carries one in his pocket. I really don't care if I look like a fashion plate or not on vacation!
