best eating time

I was wondering when the best time to eat is: 5:15 or 5:45? We want to be able to go to the show after we are finished eating with enough time to get a good seat.

Welcome to Cruise Critic!:)

Seems you like to have dinner early so the 5:15 would work for you.

Note: Most cruise lines have two show times so both those eating early and late can attend. ;)

When do you eat at home? Pick the time closest to that! Your tummy will thank you.

The shows are scheduled around the 2 traditional dining seatings. If you don't have traditional seating, pick a time close to one of those time, and you will never worry about missing a show.

We like to eat early so we originally booked dinner at 6pm. However, we found that even though we only eat mains and dessert, we felt we were rushing through our meals to make it to the 7pm shows. After watching us race off 2 nights in a row, our waiters suggested we book our table for 5.45pm. This was perfect for us. Nice relaxed dinner and time to get to the show before 7pm. This was on Rhapsody (RCI). Hope this helps.
