  1. After reading your review I think you nailed it, sailing out of NYC in the "off season" is ok, but you really need to get down to Caribbean on a longer trip to get the experience you're looking for. Bermuda is not a winter months destination for many (myself included)
  2. I think the long birth certificate line in Port Canaveral is specific to Port Canaveral. We noticed how long that line was last May when we debarked the Mardi Gras, I had never seen anything like it. We just sailed the Celebration out of Miami during President's week with over 1,000 kids onboard and the birth certificate line was short and moved super fast, we waited maybe 5 minutes in line. We had to use the birth certificate line because it took 16 weeks to get my daughters passport renewed, even though the posted timeline was 8-10 weeks when we sent it in. So frustrating.
  3. I had the same experience on the Celebration in February, easily 30+ people in line. It is all self serve and the sea day I went up it was SO windy that lettuce was flying all over the deck as people were trying to put it into their bowls. The juice was not worth the squeeze.
  4. They had Coors Edge as the NA beer on my February Celebration sailing. Most Carnival blender drinks can be made without alcohol. I've also had bartenders whip up some fruity non-alcoholic concoctions for my kid just by asking. I wish I got the recipe of whatever was made for her at the Passport bar because it was actually delicious.
  5. On my Celebration cruise in February I got a sticker, my husband didn't.
  6. Changing cabins means canceling the original booking and re-booking the new cabin - you would lose any perks tied to that original booking if there isn't currently a similar offer code available. When I did it last year for my Mardi Gras cruise my PVP waived the change fee and I ended up booking a new promo that gave me more OBC so it was a real win-win.
  7. Rideshares are definitely an option in NYC. Getting a cab to take you to Jersey could be a real issue, but Uber and Lyft will be an option it might take a while for someone to accept your ride. For a cab you'll have to negotiate with the driver, they have every right to refuse trips out of the 5 Boroughs - likely offering to pay double price (and tolls) for them to make the return trip to the city since they won't be able to pick anyone up in Jersey (which a rideshare will be able to do)
  8. Sailing out of Miami on the Celebration last week everyone was subject to the drug sniffing dogs before boarding.
  9. You will both pay the RU1 rate for this cruise, so you will both get cheers as part of the promo. I've honestly seen this offer quite a bit but it is usually twice the cost of some of the better offers we get. Why would I pay $2000 more for a promo that would cost me $800 out of pocket? The maximum two guests thing is referring to 3rd/4th people in the room NOT getting the Cheers/bubbles promo. So if you take this promo and roomed with another couple they wouldn't get the promo, and neither would any children.
  10. You can do it as part of your online check in 14 days before your trip.
  11. Celebration all the way. Getting to Galveston is a PITA. One and done for me. The Excel class is great.
  12. Most likely not unless you plan to arrive after 1:30pm. If you want to buy anything on the ship before you can go to your room and get your card you can use the barcode at the top of your check in documents. It will work just the same as you S&S card. The only thing it won't do is open your stateroom door, you'll need your card for that.
  13. OMG. Thank you for putting it in perspective like that.
  14. FaceTime video and audio works on Carnival. You just need to be connecting with someone else who also has an iPhone.
  15. Hulu does not like not having location services disabled. I've never had success with using it on a Carnival ship.
  16. I was going to ask if you've taken any classes. I haven't found many reviews with people taking advantage of them. Looking forward to what you have to say about them.
  17. There is usually only one day they do the Green Eggs and Ham breakfast - usually, not always, with two seatings. It will always be on a sea day. Keep checking before your sailing, they might not have actually released it yet with the proper date. Recent Panorama cruisers might be able to tell you which day it falls on.
  18. Agreed with the poster below sounds like they aren't logged in. General course of action to login: Airplane mode, wifi on - select Carnival shipname wifi Go to gologin.com in a browser, and go to I have a plan and login in They'll need to add the folio information for the person who purchased the plan You can't share plans, if one is correctly logged in the other will not be able to be logged in at the same time. That person will have to go to www.logout.com to log out to allow the other person to login. This is what I do if I want to switch between my devices. If they want to use the plan at the same time they will have to buy two plans.
  19. The "Children 5 years and under do not require a ticket" thing is definitely not for all excursions. I found that Cozumel has a TON of excursions with 5 and under that are free. I think its really up to the tour vendor and not Carnival. My kid is turning 5 in May, we cruise in February, we are trying to squeeze in as many "free" excursions this trip as possible.
  20. We did an all inclusive day pass at Infinity through a Roatan travel provider in 2021. Our driver got us checked in, told us about the drinks, meal, and lead us to our chairs which were to the left of the beach bar hut if you were facing the water. You get a wristband so they can tell those on day passes, full inclusive day passes, and resort guests apart. Honestly I am not sure anyone would've cared if we changed chairs, but we had a nice spot in the shade of the palm trees. We were shaded almost the entire time we were there.
  21. Not sure if this is too late but while Infinity Bay does not have umbrellas I found that the chairs on the beach were 95% shaded from the palm trees and the proximity to the Infinity Bay structures. There were more options in the shade than there were in the sun.
  22. Chiming in to say that the Tabasco's Chef Maestro excursion is wonderful. When I did it with my brother right around the re-start it was the highlight of our day in Cozumel. There were two couples there who return guests, one couple was on their 4th visit. It is a ton of fun, there are lots of free flowing drinks, and the chef has his schtick down to a science. The food was good, and the group made margaritas at the end are fantastic, and very strong. No one really sticks around to hang out in the pool - but we did and never felt like a burden to the staff. We got more drinks and got to watch some of the dolphin experiences below.
  23. You can use it in the casino, there are no restrictions but they will charge a 3% service charge if you use it at table games, no charge at slots.
  24. Oh I don't care about the food, its the bar that I like about Pig and Anchor. The bourbon/whiskey selection is better than any other bar in the fleet. Plus the P&A beers brewed onboard are far superior to the Red Frog brews.
  25. This makes the difference for me. I don't love the Red Frog pub and would much rather have the Guy's Pig and Anchor bar over a Red Frog pub any day. Those who love the embarkation fishbowl/pitcher specials are likely to disagree with me.
