  1. Should have been bought to the attention of Security or the Hotel Director for immediate resolution. There are cameras in the solarium also.
  2. Was just on Enchantment and signs posted and enforced: "Smoking allowed for active casino players and only during casino operating hours." Made a big difference as there was minimal smoking and the casino didn't smell smoky at all when walking thru to the theater.
  3. Enjoy your Baltic trip on Voyager! Hoping someone will do an update on testing in Copenhagen and the ship in general. Was last on Voyager in 2002.
  4. Me, too! Also on the Aug 28th sailing from Copenhagen and will pack our proctored eMed tests to test in our hotel room. Am hoping not to have to pack four tests (2 extras j.i.c.) as they do take up extra space in my carry-on.
  5. Interesting... as t Interesting... as the internet worked great for our friends recently on Allure! Maybe it was the itinerary and location. I would test late the night prior to disembarking when fewer may be online versus the following morning. Depending on port arrival times, sometimes we've been logged off early on disembarkation morning. YMMV
  6. Sorry you experienced this and thanks for sharing with others. My personal "Golden Rule" - always travel with my passport and have more than 6 months prior to expiration and have Global Entry for my international travel/flights. Just prefer stress-less and hassle-free lifestyle as much as possible.
  7. On Enchantment now. Per our Concierge, EN has 22 full suites - a few less than Brilliance. I also think a few less balconies, but not 100% sure. EN only has one speciality dining venue - Chops. EN does have a large pool deck area since the ship was "stretched" (+72 feet added) in 2005.
  8. @beachluver9 We are also staying at the Copenhagen Marriott pre-cruise in late Aug. Thanks for sharing! Question: How did you travel from the airport to the Marriott and then from the hotel to the cruise port? Thanks!
  9. We were there in May and June and never experienced a temperature check. Ditto for friends who just returned from sailing from Cape Liberty two weeks ago. Yes, one less stress for cruisers! Enjoy.!
  10. Our experiences this past Apr on a Thurs afternoon & Fri at 11AM: *Miami airport to Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel on N. Bayshore Dr - taxi (van) was $23 + tip (4 bags + c/o) *Marriott Hotel to Port of Miami Terminal G - Uber $14.37 + tip
  11. It could be a few hours up to several days. It may also depend on when check-in was done - on a weekday vs on the weekend. It seems as though since we've recently cruised often, approval was very fast and within a few hours. Just my observations. YMMV
  12. Agree! And request a copy of your new invoice while still on the phone to verify the correct price. You can also check the balance due by logging into your RC account.
  13. We recently stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay on North Bayshore Dr. It was a quick taxi ride from the Miami Airport (~$20). We took an Uber to Port of Miami (~$20+). Tip: Ensure you know which terminal your ship has docked at (check cruisemapper.com or Google). On our Jewel TA some cruisers got dropped off at the wrong terminal and didn't pay attention to the ship til after their taxi left! Another couple actually checked their bags in with the porter, tipped him and then realized they were at the wrong ship. It took almost two hours to retrieve their luggage back and get a taxi to the correct terminal!
  14. We were in Belgium and Amsterdam recently (Jewel TA) and almost all places, restaurants and stores we visited would not accept any cash! Many "No Cash Accepted" signs everywhere.
  15. Yes, but as mentioned in another recent thread: please refill personal water bottles by pouring water/beverage in a clean glass and then pour it in the water bottle.
  16. And as long as the personal water bottle is filled by dispensing the water into a clean glass to pour into the bottle!
  17. @AshlandCurious, was your Dublin overnight recently and which ship? Another cruiser was just telling me how nice Dublin is, but she flew there after her cruise in Amsterdam. Thanks!
  18. Congratulations! Always excited for anyone who can "rise to the top" and improve their situation! The Promenade interiors have a little more room and the window seating is great for people watching and the excitement below. Enjoy.
  19. I was told by several shops in a few ports (Ketchikan, Cozumel, VI) that most cruiselines are no longer associated with DI for this (appraisal) reason and other unfavorable retail tactics. I noticed the former stores in many ports were closed down. Seems as though RC and MSC are now promoting Effy Jewelry.
  20. Ditto for the darn "new and improved" Air2Sea website! No one-way, multi-city or alternate pre-cruise date options. And who wants to fly 20+ hours to Australia and board the ship the same day she sails?! Awful IT enhancements.
  21. Which ship or port? Some have been strictly adhering to appt times. Others not so much. It can cause a messy confusion.
  22. We like deck 8 as it's nice to stroll thru Central Park or go to Park Cafe for a light breakfast or lunch as both on deck 8. The speciality restaurants (Chops, 150 CP and Giovanni's) are also on deck 8. Easy to get to the Boardwalk two decks down on deck 6. If we need to go from AFT to FWD (or vice versa), many times it faster walking thru Central Park than thru the corridors, especially when cabin attendants are doing the morning or evening room cleanings and many carts are in the hallways. Enjoy your planned cruise!
  23. Yes, great deal! We also booked this cruise back in Mar, OV bal on deck 8 was about $700 pp including taxes/fees. Couldn't believe the price for a Xmas sailing, but we've never traveled during this time. Also booked the NYE sailing as a B2B - great deal also and kept the same cabin.
