  1. Don't laugh. My dearly beloved always finds a suit that needs dry cleaning and brings it onboard. Unapologetic I might add. It's ridiculous...
  2. And they itch like crazy. I find them for years on my clothes. Badge of honor some would say.
  3. Wow. They are charging extra for sole now. It's not a particularly expensive fish. That's a Debbie downer.
  4. This would be the happiness post for many cruisers who have lamented the lack of libraries on many ships. Thanks for the photos.
  5. I never thought much of the shopping there but I do like the beach.
  6. Great thread! Ordered some mystery books since you are so inspirational with your cruise reading. Thanks for the fun adventure!
  7. Thanks alot for your review. I do love that ship but we tend to hang out on the loungers on deck 10 and cocktails at that bar. Club Orange is our key to happiness. MdR is a madhouse and we couldn't stand it. My next cruise is on NCL in Jan. I'll let you know how it goes. I do love their entertainment but the ships are huge. We'll see.
  8. I'm another fan of Spain Day tours. Also, there are some really awesome tours from the cruiseline that I never regretted taking. They will bring you to places that you may miss when you are on your own. I'm not opposed to self-guided tours, but when I visit places that I will probably never see again, I'd like an intensive tour.
  9. I am one of those remarkable people who have actually missed a cruise because of flights. The flight was in April, who'd figure there would be problems. The flight was delayed due to ice on the wings, delayed further in Atlanta due to fog, delayed further due to the drink cart not being delivered to the aircraft, and when we finally got to Miami, they couldn't open the plane door. Well, this was a Celebrity cruise, way back in time, but we didn't get there in time. Missed it by minutes, but the manifest is the manifest, and that was that. It was very sad. Do not let this happen to you.
  10. If this really did happen, the pipe bringing loud banging into his cabin, I don't blame him for complaining. I book cabins as far away from showrooms as possible. Up, down, sideways. The rest of the thread is hard to imagine. His trip was evidently ghastly. Someone said he should prove he had food poisoning from the PG. How do you do that? Show pictures of it? Jeepers.
  11. Don't you wish they'd change that obnoxious music while you are on hold? It's a nightmare to listen to that for the long time you are painfully waiting.
  12. Once a day is fine with us, and it seems that has been the rule over the past couple of years. However, I always want towels replaced in the evening. Sometimes they remember, and sometimes they forget. That is the only downer.
  13. you can wait and see if the offers get better, closer you get to the cruise. Yes, I book the cabin I want and if an upsell comes in that's good, I'll take it. That offer doesn't look appealing, by the way. Kind of ridiculous.
  14. Really nice review, thanks. We, too, have enjoyed Canaletto and have been surprised at how much we liked it. Might have something to do with the excellent service. Glad you had a great time.
  15. Agree. I loved it. Maybe if HAL put in a restaurant like NCL has, Le Bistro, French, they would have a winner. We are frequent NCL cruisers, as well, and they do have a wide variety of offerings.
  16. We sail on both. Love them both. I have to say HAL is quieter but has a charm that's hard to beat. Great smaller ships which can go places the huge ships can't. But, NCL has much better entertainment. Food is generally the same on both lines, so that's not an issue. We have fun on both.
  17. Really fun following along. Been to alot of those places and loved every minute and it's fun seeing it again through your eyes. Thank you.
  18. Oh, I am so sorry to read you are in the hospital. Lots of warm get well wishes 🙏 sent your way. I have enjoyed your lovely posts on this site.
  19. I asked for something simple, but no, it was costly like a professional would determine your needs. Let's just say, a band aid was going to break the bank.
