  1. Oh, I am so sorry to read you are in the hospital. Lots of warm get well wishes 🙏 sent your way. I have enjoyed your lovely posts on this site.
  2. I asked for something simple, but no, it was costly like a professional would determine your needs. Let's just say, a band aid was going to break the bank.
  3. I second this opinion. It's a treat.
  4. What a happy review! Thank you. Isn't cruising fun!
  5. Great decision, and the best part is that you are on the ship. Nothing lost there.
  6. Most likely. Good for you for watching things carefully. Paying attention is the name of the game. Bravo!!! Half the fun of cruising with Holland America is catching them in all these sneaky surprises like price drops. To be fair, they don't tell you when the fare has gone up and you are a winner on that end. If you watch things carefully, you will always be ok.
  7. This is intriguing, since it's cheaper than my grocery bill lately. Close enough
  8. That is terrible. No one should have to do jumping Jack's here. You have more patience than me.
  9. I am enjoying following your cruise very much so! One thing about Club Orange that I loved is how they all work as a team and the service was fantastic each time we dined there. I asked the maitre'd for a list of everyone's name who worked there and then gave each one of them recognition to the cruiseline after the cruise. I thought they deserved special.recognition for their effort. Thank you for posting your review!
  10. Funny, I never had the hassle of too much obc. It is such an enjoyable chore.
  11. Love all your posts! Brings back fond memories. I remember some dogs laying around Pompeii and I asked about them. Someone feeds them, so I felt better about that! Great description, thanks!
  12. Pretty sure he's joking. Based on his usual postings which are generally funny.
  13. We think things are fine. Like anything else, there are some changes, but your happiness will probably depend on how your general outlook on life is.
  14. We were once asked by someone in the president's club to join them for an award ceremony where they would be recognized. All you might need is an invitation from your buddy. I could be wrong but it did happen to us.
  15. Yes, tea is served. No Dutch theme that I can remember. I generally avoid it since I am definitely piling on the calories then. Of course, I could skip dinner but who does that?
  16. Those long cruises are the best. You can do as much or as little as you wish. I once loved the cooking demos, for instance, and wish they'd bring them back. Lots of reading, movie matinee, and other stuff . The days fill up pretty quickly, especially if you eat 3 meals a day. Lol.
  17. It's easy for us to self tour in the Caribbean and we have always done that. In Europe, we take tours for must see locations but have been comfortable to do sightseeing on our own too. Safety, obviously is key, but we've had some really great conversations with locals and never felt rushed like you do sometimes on a tour. I love leisurely enjoying meals and quiet observations while traveling.
  18. Mixed green salad and sole. Pinot noir and no desert. Fabulous dining experience.
  19. Great trip ahead!, looking forward to reading about it. It's really nice in Florida right now and should be for the foreseeable future.
  20. Funny, we loved those cabins. Took very long cruises in them. The comparison to Redlight district puzzles me, but alot puzzles me these days.
  21. It used to be. I'd get extra perks. Haven't done it lately, but worth a try.
  22. Just to respond, as usual you make a good point . I love learning new tips on this site, too. As far as the *status* people, I always zone out when folks go on about it. Some of my best friends in life have been a whole lot poorer than I , and a whole lot nicer than most. Status is worthless, as we all know.
