  1. I usually keep track of it on my own and pay it on-line a few weeks out so do not know if a ‘reminder’ is sent by MSC or not. I have always received an email confirmation of any payments I make.
  2. Can you send a link to that review? (Sorry to ask this, I should know how to find it.)
  3. Sorry not able to answer your question (have been on Seascape but not recently) but once on board if you find out a Margarita would be charged to your account when dining at Hola Tacos, stop by any bar on way and pick up a couple to take in with you.
  4. Yeah, ty, we are doing a B2B - in October from Rome 10 nights plus 15 night TA, and the 10 night is our 25th Carnival and want to use the OBC we get as a result of milestone to our best use. TMI, right!? Yikes! Cruise on and enjoy!
  5. Jimbo5544, if you (or anyone else currently on Pride and following along on this thread) walk by Cherry On Top sometime would you mind stopping in to ask if Carnival Gift Cards can still be purchased with OBC? Hope you are enjoying a restful “day at sea,” appreciate all your work.
  6. You asked about priority boarding if Platinum, even if Platinum you still have to check in (you can check in earlier than others but sorry i forget the exact time frame) to get your assigned time and then once you get to embarkation you can find the priority line which is not always obvious. All this to say, if you indeed are Platinum on the first leg the computer should let you check in earlier to receive a better/earlier time of that is what you want. When your sign in to your account/cruise it should tell you when you are eligible to check in.
  7. Ah, good idea, I’ll make sure my PVP has done that, probably has but will make certain.
  8. I am wondering if the fact that we are in two different cabins would make a difference.
  9. We are Platinum and will hit Diamond on our next B2B but we have different cabins so perhaps Diamond will just click in when we are given a new card for the second cabin.
  10. We have been in several Cove Balconies without any ‘salt’ issues. Most recently we were on the Celebration in a Cove on Deck 5 and absolutely enjoyed the location, made everything on ship easily accessible, were able to quickly orientate ourselves to the ship. Actually we enjoyed the “cove” location on the Celebration so much we booked an Oceanview on same ship, same deck, because coves were all booked. Just another aspect of the Cove Balcony.
  11. Our Side2Sides have been with Carnival (one Carnival ship to another, same port) and with Carnival and MSC (got off MSC ship and trudged two piers down to Carnival ship). Quite easy to coordinate Carnival and MSC dates especially out of Miami.
  12. In the morning you pack your belongings (I take a couple $1.00 TJM bags to make life easier) and your room guy will eventually move everything for you from current cabin to new cabin. We always make sure they are aware we are B2B. We have found that once we are back on ship after mandatory walk onto American soil (in the terminal - ha) we can go to our new cabin and all is good.
  13. Typically ships go over and stay a few months then return.
  14. Perhaps they never use the word “repositioning.” For instance, we are cruising from Rome to Tampa in October and our confirmation refers to it as a Transatlantic.”
  15. On Carnival website when you search for a cruise, repositioning are usually listed under “duration,” more than 12 days, etc.
  16. I see you are from Central Florida, we are on Gulf Side. We now cruise between MSC and Carnival and almost always book MSC with “easy plus.” We find it much easier to use than Carnival’s beverage package. It can also be used at Ocean Cay which is great.
  17. I do my own research, decide on a cruise I like, then search for one before or after. We have done B2Bs on same ship (we don’t care if same cabin or not, if a different cabin the move is really easy and to us it feels like we are starting fresh again) and we have done Side to Sides (same port different ship) which is fun also. As I said I do all my research (that’s fun for me) and then call PVP to book.
  18. Not in the “venchi” shop (my spelling might be off) but everywhere else, bartenders quite agreeable to what you might request.
  19. We ate in Steakhouse a few cruises ago, sailing out of Miami, and tax was added to our meal cost. If I remember correctly it was an early reservation and sail away was late, so got hit with tax. We almost always eat in Steakhouse Day of Embarkation and this was first time we experienced this, timing was cause. No big deal but was surprised.
  20. To summarize, i would suggest sending in request and taking proof on board.
  21. Take your shareholder proof with you, go to guest services on board, they will send off to be processed.
  22. Ocean Cay is lovely, we have been there several times, booked March 31, 2024 as it offers an overnight at Ocean Cay, so we made it just under the wire. It is so very convenient to be able to simply walk off and onto the ship however often you want. Not sure what enhancements they are planning to do. If you were there today you wouldn’t really see anything that needed to be done. Set up is great, food trucks convenient, buffet nice, beverage package works.
  23. Interesting, ty. Have two Yacht Club Cabins booked for March 31 and glad all appears to be good. (Several posts ago someone suggested the March 31 seven night had an itinerary change and was becoming an 11 night.) I see you are from Canada, turning an 11 night into a 14 night for you is nice, hope that works for you, long trip and all.
