  1. Some bookings, such as Fantastica, allow you one cruise change. We have done it through an MSC Agent on the phone. When I called to make a change I knew what I wanted to rebook. I had to cancel the first booking (refund arrived in a decent amount of time) and then told Agent what I wanted to book in its place (had to put down a new deposit). Worked ok for us. Strange you cannot move original deposit to new booking but “it is what it is.”
  2. Trying to zoom in on our cabin for our now February 2025 cruise out of Port Canaveral. Saint Greg, you are either a good or bad influence, yet to be determined! Following your “live” I was inspired to book the Venezia today, I have never booked that far out before.
  3. Here at home, just sitting out on lanai, following along, waiting for the bus to come. Oh it came early!
  4. The ship does appear to be outstanding from all the pics Saint Greg has been posting. MSC also has outstanding ships. And the Venezia is coming to Port Canaveral late 2024, into 2025. Thank you Saint Greg for all the fun and details, letting us cruise along with you!
  5. Born/grew up in Canada, lived in Ontario and Alberta and Saskatchewan, never heard of Poutine until a few hears ago, sometime after we moved to US - IMHO Poutine is simply French Fries with Gravy - grew up with that - ha.
  6. Followers beware, “Sid withdrawal” is soon to set in!
  7. Previous Lurkers / New Posters - make sure you “Follow” - upper right hand corner - hit “Follow.”
  8. Good to know for the future, ty, we cruise (mainly) between MSC and Carnival so were not aware.
  9. Just out of curiosity, what cruise line has dining room open on day of embarkation?
  10. I suppose if you always cruise Yacht Club the Diamond status doesn’t do too much apart from Comped Butchers Cut dining experience. We have never done YC so Diamond for us is worth maintaining. Perhaps you can snag an Interior YC before October ‘23 although they do seem to be first to go.
  11. We asked for them and received them.
  12. Perhaps best not to “have a buzz” as you trudge through the streets of Miami.
  13. And there is someone making Omelets at a station across the very back, few realize it.
  14. Sid, over on your (old) Carnival thread Sugar67 said she was #100 on this thread. Well! I wanted to be #100. Now I’ll have to wait for 199 to come around, yikes! But we’re not even on the ship yet so no worries, following very closely.
  15. Yikes! I have no idea why they ask for cc prior to boarding when it is not necessary and only frustrates cruisers when doing on-line check-in (and gives them something else to complain about).
  16. In past posts it has been said that whether or not you enter cc info prior to boarding you still need to go to a kiosk and activate your cc there. We have never entered cc info prior to boarding (10+ MSC cruises) and once on board we either go to a kiosk immediately (no one is at any of them yet hence no line) or wait a day or two and stop by a kiosk (no lines then), there isn’t anything to say you need to activate cc at a kiosk the first day. I still maintain entering cc info prior to boarding does nothing.
  17. A) health questionnaire will print out when you print out boarding info B) do not enter cc info, not necessary
  18. Right, as I suggested earlier only Meraviglia, Grandiosa, class ships have the Carousel Lounge. Seaside does have a Lounge back of ship but no reservations/cost involved. What you will need to book once on board is time you want to attend Main Theatre show(s).
  19. Are you referring to show in a carousel lounge? If so, yes you need to make a reservation. I believe on ship price is $18 but on-line prior to cruise about $14. You do reserve nightly shows in Main Lounge on App once on board but no cost involved.
  20. Hello NCteacher, met you over on a Carnival thread - perhaps someone will correct me - but I think it is only Meraviglia, Grandiosa, that Class ship, that have The Carousel Theatre at back of ship that have shows you pay for. Seaside, Seashore, etc., do have a venue back of ship with a variety of evening entertainment that does not have a cost. The lounge area is also very nice for a quiet indoor place to read, etc. If on Mera and want to attend show it is less expensive if you book prior to cruise.
  21. We have been on Seashore and she is a gorgeous ship, don’t remember if we were inside or a balcony though, and for 11 days, wonderful, enjoy! We are booked March 31 for seven.
  22. Try not to be confused with website or how MSC does things, every cruise line operates differently. Enjoy the experience.
  23. That was my follow up ? as well. I mentioned we have enjoyed 10 MSC cruises but never Yacht Club. Did find an Interior Yacht Club Cabin available on Seashore in March out of Port Canaveral. Looking forward to it. Altho before that we have Mardi Gras and Pride (Italy and TA) and Celebration to enjoy before that. We cruise between Carnival and MSC these days.
  24. I realize this is a Carnival thread but as MSC was mentioned wanted to comment - we have been on 10 MSC cruises from Interior to Balcony, never yacht club, and have nothing negative to say.
