  1. You must be seeing something I cannot see. On the mscusa site there are no cruises showing up on Seashore for April 7. But our March 31 is still there with no changes.
  2. Okay puzzled - we are booked on Seashore out of Port Canaveral for seven nights - itinerary we booked has first two days with an overnight at Ocean Cay - have not received any kind of communication from MSC yet - someone on this thread said that March 31, 2024 is now an 11 night cruise. Is that true? Do we know for sure? If we agree to this suggested change is MSC saying we will get 11 nights on March 31 for price we booked for the seven for? (When I search cruises for March/April 2024 no changes have been made yet, our original seven night is still being offered.)
  3. We have and have never had it taken away. Didn’t try to hide it, went through scanner. And off we went. Have never tried at embarkation as we are aware that it is not allowed.
  4. I read your posts when Saint Greg was “cruising” by the site. I located the book at a library in the area and asked that I be able to pick it up at the library I frequent. It just became available today. It says “Copyright 1955 by Walter Lord.” Someone has written in ink “1998?” above the Copyright date. Why would someone do that?
  5. I picked this book up at the library today, crazy timing!
  6. End of May I booked a February 2025 cruise, not Europe/Med.
  7. Missing your daily shenanigans, hope your trip was as much fun for you as you made it for us. Curious about your thoughts on the “sea” days.
  8. Apparently read/viewed a post just in time, whew, good for me!
  9. Saint Greg’s Lives will do that to you. I ended up booking the Venezia when it comes to Port Canaveral. There should be some sort of “Reader Beware Warning” prior to reading.
  10. Saint Greg, Happy Birthday and thank you for taking us along on your first TA. Now that the “sea days” are behind you how do you feel about them, enjoyable, slow, draggy?Would you consider another TA? Am going to miss your daily posts and pictures, much fun!
  11. We took the public transport/bus to beach, easy and inexpensive, short walk to terminal, ask an officer standing outside port and he will direct you to bus terminal.
  12. Definitely walkable, we did it, you certainly can, cruise port to base of citadel is only a mile, walk all about, great views from top, enjoy your time in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
  13. Saint Greg, quick question, (and thank you for all the good info you pass on to us), earlier you said you used a cc that does not have a foreign transaction fee and you choose “euros” when charging something, so my question - when you swipe your card does a choice of “euros” automatically come up along with US dollars and you click on Euros? Have never seen that choice before.
  14. Not sure about school break dates but regarding itinerary we would definitely choose Ocean Cay over Belize.
  15. Pork with mayo, that’s new to me, maybe it’s a thing I didn’t know about.
  16. Saint Greg, if you feel like a long stroll one of your sea days would you scout out Cabin 14202? You inspired me to book the Venezia a week ago. It is one of the cabins that is considered Interior but has a Walkway view. It appears there should be a mini stairway that takes you right down into the gym. DH would be thrilled not only for ease of getting to gym but he often uses the showers in spa and that stairway would be very handy. Ty.
  17. Is it possible to cancel your Carnival transfers? If so, taking Uber or Cab to cruise port from hotel would be less drama or you.
  18. Just waiting for it to come on here, it will be crazy in Vegas tonight, if we were on ship DH would be very happy and watching no matter the time there, Canadian blood! Not that Canadian blood means anything these days - neither team is from Canada and neither team is one of the original six. Las Vegas Knights vs Florida Panthers - yikes - my grumble of the day! Sorry, went a little off-track.
  19. When you have a moment - so it is tender from ship TO speed boat to Oai coast area (tickets?) TO an uphill walk to bus (tickets?) TO Oai? On Pride in October, making copious notes. Ty.
  20. Saint Greg, as you haven’t mentioned it perhaps when you select a “table for 1” you are getting what you requested on this cruise. Last cruise you had a terrible time with them wanting to seat you with people. Us Followers keep an eye out for you!
  21. Our first TA, well our only one so far, was Barcelona to NYC, east to west is definitely the way to go, gaining an hour of sleep a night for several nights in a row is surely better than losing an hour a night for several nights, enjoy. I too was concerned about the days at sea but then all of a sudden it was over.
  22. We got off, similar tour, Inaugural Horizon TA, ty for bringing back so many memories.
