  1. Tea Time is (almost always) from 3-4pm on Sea Days. It is lovely, you can sit with a group or ask for a Table for 2 or a Single (last cruise I went to Tea Time once by myself with a book and it was nice). Lipton Tea is served but they also offer “special teas” which come with a cost so beware of that. They have mini sandwiches (usually cucumber and salmon) and desserts you do not see outside of Tea Time. I love the Scones with Clotted Cream and when husband is with me he tries about everything he sees.
  2. Just used ours for an October cruise, as it happens our 25th cruise is the priciest we ever paid so we are both taking the 25%. But it does not need to be taken on the 25th. Our PVP submitted the request for both of us and we each got an email saying that 2-3 days prior to the cruise the $amount will show up.

Our servers took care of our beverage requests in MDR, after first night they knew what wine(s) were preferred and were always ready for us.
  4. You will have to open/go through the heavy closed doors that say something like “do not enter.” Couple weeks ago we ran into our Stew when leaving bags and he just asked that we make sure we leave nothing on floor. We also used safe to lock up valuables as cabin doors are pretty much left open as they are all being turned over.
  5. From past “lives” I know your MIL cares for your kids, you must have a wonderful MIL, thanks to her so you can cruise and we can cruise along with you.
  6. @Tryingtocruiseyou will enjoy following @MeganGC1983as she does the “lives” for us, it’s like cruising along with her, well actually you are, ha, lucky for you. She is the one who got me hooked on “lives!” (We live real close to Venice in Nokomis, so perhaps some day I will see someone “knitting” on one of our cruises and ask if it is you.) Enjoy the Celebration!.
  7. Following as in the past, but this time I will be packing along with you, going out on Mardi Gras Saturday, (at least suppose to but just got email from Carnival saying Port Canaveral temporarily closed due to hurricane but “I” fully expect it to be open by Saturday), anyway will follow til we embark and then catch up when we get home. Have to say though that my pre-cruise days are not quite as entertaining as yours. Have a great cruise.
  8. In Aruba, Public Transportation is great.
  9. You print them out when you print out your boarding passes. Congrats on the Diamond match, enjoy Butchers Cut Steakhouse, lovely location, we always sit outside overlooking the promenade (you will know what I mean once you see it - not outside outside), I suggest making your reservation day of embarkation.
  10. Great, ty, we cruised on Celebration when even dinner times were unlimited, knew that part had changed. Will wave as you disembark, enjoy your cruise.
  11. Sailing September 2 so was wondering this also. Had heard about the $8 second time around cost. What about lunch - still unlimited visits at Chibang and Cucina?
  12. Happened to us on last Celebration cruise, was wondering if fleet wide or particular ships.
  13. We were on the Divina during both Irma and Ian, crazy coincidence, both Captains steered us around the storm, during Irma spent three extra nights docked in Cozumel, during Ian two extra nights at sea, both worked fine for us, had no other commitments, we do live in Florida and do not hesitate to book during hurricane season. Officially hurricane season is June 1 through November 30, who really knows when the “heart” of it is.
  14. Would not do upgrade. Did Cove Deck 5 on Celebration loved it. Mardi Gras similar deck plan. Perfect location. Enjoyed location so much we are doing OV on Deck 5 because Coves are gone.
  15. I have always booked on-line without any problems. I like to research the date, ship and cabin choice ahead of time and then I go on-line and do my thing with booking. Also I have always received appropriate emails when making any payments on-line.
  16. Oops, that’s the email address I used also - guestadmin@carnival.com - at one time used the other - ty @Sugar67.
  17. Emailed request two days ago and received acknowledgement today of OBC amounts for three upcoming cruises. Great service. Used the following address: shareholders@carnival.com.
  18. We have always found the maitre d on any of the MSC ships we have been on to be very accommodating.
  19. Fond memories - ha - table placement is crazy.
  20. Agree with @JamieLogical, we always ate bkft in dining room, and lunch as well, although if I remember correctly lunch may not be available in dining room days at Ocean Cay and Port days. When you arrive to be seated you will most likely be asked if you want to “share” a table, which they push, but you can insist on a “table for two” if that is your choice, we always did.
  21. 1) I would suggest using husband’s Marriott status. 2) Yes, you each submit your own proof from wherever. 3) Do the booking in your husband’s name first, although whoever has highest status will receive the benefit, such as “Butchers Cut” meal, but it is for two regardless of whose name is first on booking. And even if both of you are eventually Diamond, it is still one dinner for two per cabin. Make sense?
  22. Interesting “floor13,” I haven’t seen those posts but as you say it probably depends on cruise staff. We have never been denied. Crazy to deny someone, I would ask if they wanted me to drink it in front of them before I stepped over the threshold. I do recall once not having any package but had a bottle of Prosecco and took it to Steakhouse with us, we had already opened it, waiter said ‘we do not allow bottles from outside’ so I started to stand up and ask if I should take it back to our cabin, waiter replied ‘oh no that’s ok, had to mention it so you were aware.’
  23. When dining in Specialty Venue, stop by a bar on way and order a few beverages and take with you. We have done that in the past. We have also seen people leave their tables during meal to walk out to a bar and bring back beverages.
