um okay are you on the ship yet. I mean this is page 6. Just wondering I did the celebration for 'thanksgiving and so wondering how you all will like the ship and really waiting for that to happen

YES YES YES most definitely and also the Wonder OTS as well. As they say "once you have done an Oasis class ship, it is hard to beat". However the new ICON does look interesting as well.

and that leaves a lot of folks on the longest World Cruise on Serenade wondering the same on how the ship will get from Dubia to Athens. Will they go around Africa or what? Seems a shame that no country can keep the red Seas safe.

oh I hope you do a thread for Viking then? And as far as Barcelona I hop parts of the 3rd segment get worked out and no delays to Barcelona. After doing ICON in May, I sail out of Barcelona on NCL Escape doing the Med for 10 days with a port each day. Better itinerary than say what Symphony did last year or Oasis this year. They never change it and price was way better on NCL> toodles I will miss this Segment from you. Hoping someone starts a new segment On Feb 12th and I have an idea whom many of us would like to see, but it is like that movie about Bruno song ..... We don't talk about ....... get my drift.

yea one can hope though. I wish they would lower the price of those fancy milkshakes from $14 to say $9 perhaps.

that is the downside of NCL free style in that they are reluctant to put strangers together. Any more I eat in the buffet at night which is quieter, not as air conditioned and the food is pretty good. I like the fact that one can get veggies more in buffet. also on Disney, if travelling solo, they are also reluctant to put me with a family. I hate getting stuck with the boring solo folks on Disney and feel like I did not deserve a fun family or something. I have been getting very good prices on Princess for 2025 and have two booked from UK doing Europe.

well I had issues on RCI Oasis class ships staying in the front of the ship. I could hear down off the bow music drifting loud up through the stairwell to the crew bar, I too am in the Beyond forward facing room and hoping no issues. As a side note, I was supposed to be on the Reflection and they changed it to Beyond. I did not wait to see how they would handle I called and good thing. So when changes ships they use the two-digit category letters or numbers. I argued and insisted the use the description because on the Beyond, those front rooms were assigned a different category label and Celebrity was trying to push me to a deck 3 room ocean view. I am glad I held my ground as the agent spoke to supervisor and I got the room in the front and it actually cost less than the Reflection. So be careful of room descriptions and room category that differ from ship to ship. Imagine getting sent to deck 3 along the side when I had a front view.

yes and if you wanted to watch the super bowl you need to get home fast. Hoping no issues with Red Sea and you next segment and no changes or delays. I am thinking the the Dubai to Athens section could get remapped but I hope not.

I hope so because a circular ice rink is kind of odd and at least they have backstage area to get a running start. Agree the Aqua Theatre looks better and nice to see restaurants nearby by. I feel like those nicer comfy chairs in the back will get taken first as those benches look hard.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before they realized how high is too high. Hoping for this to filter down to cruise prices for 2025.

well after hearing about the delay I did some research one the ship design and sailings and so now I am booked for Nov 2nd cruise since the ship looks interesting. So I will start 2024 with the new ICON OTS in May and end the year with Sun Princess. In between various other ships that I have already been on but doing nicer itineraries like the Western Med and back to Norway. Next year Princess as some nice cruises from UK to like Northern Capitals on the Emerald and then a nice one on Regal around British Isles.

I think this thread is a good idea so as to NOT clog up the main one by Island Lady which will end when they leave in LA . I hear Carnival Corp has changed some Red Sea travels.

where on the ship is this located and hopefully not where anyone can fall over it? Is in in the Central Park?

oh thats ok. I am unsure it I will like the new venue and the circular rink. I rather liked studio B But I will find out in early May for myself.

while that may be true but if unfinished business is anything technical, they will have to do another sea trial or if I was CEO I would demand it time will tell.

I think either next year or 2026 I will book a cruise with MSC just to try it out. And the new Sun Princess will have a dome in the front similar to ICON. Also HAL on some of their recent ships have a place called One World in the aft that is 270 degree theatre with windows like the Quantum class. So, all the various lines are trying to copy each other. The Promenade that started with Voyager class is something that a German ship had done before.

and I wonder who is at fault, Princess for making changes too much or the shipyard dealing with supply chain and or labor issues or even technical. I suppose they still have to do sea trials and sign off on each system and section of the ship.

and they are building a big and new terminal right in front of RCI in Miami. Should be interesting few years for Miami and the variety of ships

correction though, The Absolute Zero ice rink is in the AFT of the ship.

Well so many desserts are borin on ships I have no problem keeping to one.

Which is why I am wondering if he will bring the parrot again. Also is he still coming? Heard he went back to Norway again but hoping for final clearance from his doctor. I will hopefully see in May 2024 the dog and most likely Capt Loy will be back on. Glad I put deposit down in first week of release. Prices are OMG high. I like both Captains and have sailed with both. Johnny zoomed past me on scooter once but never saw the bird in 2016. also excited to drive up NJ turnpike to go on Odyssey in 2025 April.
