  1. On another post you mentioned that you were Diamond and therefore entitled to upgraded internet package. But your first cruise was last August? How did you become Diamond so fast? Stay on board all year? 😀 Sounds great!
  2. I'm confused by your last sentence. Do you think the post should be retired? Or the Hot Rocks concept?
  3. Just to confirm: you purchased the upgraded wifi @$20/day, which allows streaming?
  4. On my recent Ovation cruise, the news channels (from the US) were Fox News and MSNBC.
  5. You spelled Loula's name correctly. I was on a B2B April-May, and John Barron was on the first leg, and Loula began her first stint as CD on the second leg. A delight, especially when she is hosting a table of widows, very attentive, and loads of energy. A few days into her first efforts as CD, a passenger quite unexpectedly came up to her and said, "You are a stupid little girl!" Can you imagine? He should have been booted off the ship!
  6. I think you're right - there is no policy (or pattern). They will publish when they have confirmation from their shore excursion suppliers. I commend you for spot checking, as I am doing for my TKG reservation for next April. It IS 10 months away, more important things to think about right now.
  7. I am on B2B cruises in April 2024 and have booked shore excursions but cannot book TKG.
  8. How wide are twins? Cause that's what the "one" bed is, 2 twins pushed together.
  9. I always thought it was Atlantide as in Atlantic ocean and tide, no?
  10. Don't you have to pay Final Payment before booking TKG?
  11. "forced". Is that a typo? What do you mean?
  12. My party of 3 is staying at the Seabourn-sponsored hotel The May Fair. I have asked my TA to find out the status of our transfer. Maybe a very early departure and then lunch and a tour on the way to Dover?
  13. Any cruise ship suite TV seems "tiny" compared to some behemoths in today's homes!
  14. Not quite a "full charter" since I am on that sailing, traveling solo, paying full price. I had an awful experience with my husband on a river cruise where about 90% of the passengers were one group. Granted a smaller ship, but I think full disclosure would be lovely if I am to spend 14 days with a charter group. Will Dawn become the "party ship"?
  15. Am I alone here in wondering why you would suggest a fellow passenger knowingly flaunt the rules of a host country?

When was your last visit with the Maitre'd, last cruise with Silversea?
  17. Somebody actually admitted that he made a reservation at La Terrazza for every night and then cancelled when he chose another venue. I'd be too embarrassed to admit that! And he really remembered to cancel? When at 7 PM?😬
  18. Sorry, I meant "sea" not "port" days in my post. So, Nancy, do you think the Covid precaution for galley lunches has been lifted?
  19. I am sailing on Dawn in August. Can't remember from pre-Covid about making dining reservations. My Silversea says 120 days in advance which will be in April. My question: how many reservations can you make at the non-fee vs. fee venues? I'm on 26-night B2B.
  20. We had several port days on Miami-LA last spring, and no galley lunch. Perhaps Covid is the reason.
  21. I agree, that Preference box can be a bit wonky. I called Seabourn, and they made the adjustment. It's still greyed out but when I book an excursion, the 10% discount is available.
  22. Ah, there was a time when my choice of itinerary included Handre being CD.
  23. Don't those using lounges, apply sunscreen? A good reason to use a towel on the lounge.
  24. What does everyone booked on the Venture from Manaus think about the cancellation? Normally a dry dock visit cures the problem, but too serious?
  25. Don't some suite categories have priority booking? Still, hard to believe that much unavailability.
