I'm sure someone does have the same complaint. Just like folks complain about mattresses in hotels. Maybe the 400 people who cruised before you in that cabin wore it out. Maybe the kids in that cabin on the prior cruise were jumping on the bed. Are the mattresses on the Epic the same as on the Spirit - who knows. If you didn't like the mattress, maybe you should write FDR and ask that they add a 'mattress to your liking' perk in the Free At Sea Package. But it sounds like most found the mattresses just fine, as have I. Those are my thoughts. You're welcome.

How many bags of laundry on a fifteen day cruise?
HuliHuli replied to trivimp's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
"paying $30 for a 2nd bag" is a choice you make. Life's full of choices - pack more or pay for laundry. Isn't that great? -
Restaurants Included in the Latitude Tier Coupons?
HuliHuli replied to Greenpea2's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You can look at the NCL website and it will inform you of the new options under the revised policy. -
No worries!

Sounds like you don't have an effective TA. My TA researches the question and provides the answers. That is how it is supposed to work.

Just so we are clear, could you define a "classic CC member." And yes, @SeaShark, I used quotation marks.
-
Please speak for yourself @BirdTravels. Frankly, I'm just fine with any passenger bringing their own bag on board if they so choose. And if others don't like that I roll-aboard, that is their issue to deal with.

When we last cruised Windstar the package included laundry, but some months back they dropped the laundry portion from the package.

Those are my same sources, BUT nowhere in the Gazette article does it say "by November 25th the Travel Authorization will be history." It does say the "TA Form to be phased out" but no specific date is stated and she was noncommittal on a date in the audio. The only two dates are: "From October 25, the requirement for pre-arrival and pre-departure testing, arrival testing, and day-four testing for travellers will be dropped." and "The Government will be having further discussions regarding Bermudaās travel entry requirements, taking into consideration what is appropriate and necessary in light of the ongoing pandemic. We will announce those decisions before 30 November.ā I think you are connecting dots that she declined to expressly connect. While I hope you are right, I'm less sanguine on how this might unfold.

I simply transferred my PCC-made booking to an outside TA (within 30 days of booking) and harvested some OBC in the process. The next time I called my PCC, he tried to decline service, but I called his bluff. As an NCL employee, he'd be fired if he declined to help a guest. But, he no longer bugs me with unnecessary calls & emails.

Agreed @njhorseman, but I just received a letter today from Ms. Katty Byrd, Sr. Vice President Guest Services, stating travel requirements for Bermuda that are inconsistent with what's posted at https://www.gov.bm/cruise-travel-authorisation. I've written to her regarding the inconsistency and when I hear back, I'll post her comments.

why do people DO this?!? (connecting rooms)
HuliHuli replied to styxfire's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Call your NCL PCC or TA if you want to find a connecting cabin. They can see them, but we cannot on the deck plans in a mock booking. That's it. Here's my $100 ... āIām out!ā -
We missed our connection at LHR on our recent cruise when our first flight took off late. It cost us nearly 300 Euros for the night with taxis, food and hotel. We're still trying to collect from the airline, which under European law is responsible.

I agree with Tech Services.

Luggage tags, whether in the mail from NCL or self-printed, do not come with your name on them. You add that yourself.

So,,,, I know that I have NEVER received TWICE DAILY calls from the Cruise Next desk UNTIL I attended this event and SPOKE DIRECTLY with the CN staff who WROTE my name down. Make whatever ASS-U-Me-putions you like - these are the facts!

Cruise cards and lanyards on Norwegian
HuliHuli replied to doctoranna's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Yep, totally first world problem @doctoranna. Buy a lanyard with a pouch. $10; probably will last ten cruises - buck a cruise! Personally I don't choose cruises or cruise lines based on how I might carry my room card. Now, back to my boat drink.- 26 replies

Following...I have a similar circumstance. One thing I'm doing is sailing on Windstar where both stateroom passengers don't have to take the drink package.

Can I see my "Free At Sea" perks on my reservation?
HuliHuli replied to wtang's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Glad I could be of some help. -
Greece- quarantine no longer required (July 2022)
HuliHuli replied to MNgardens's topic in Windstar Cruises
We were not asked for any documentation upon arrival in Athens. That could be because we came into Europe via Brussels. -
It's probably unnecessary given the distances between ports. What's your rush? Or do you just want to see what she can do? š

We were recently in Thira/Santorini. First, there is more than one seaside dock where you might start your visit. Ours started at the pier quite a ways from the pier where the cable cars run. So without a confirmed means of transportation up to Oia or Fira, you would not have a pleasant start at the port. In our experience, most of the excursions do cut you loose in Oia to wander on your own, so if that is your interest, I think @Travelling2Someprobably has a good idea. Since we wanted to visit both Oia and Fira, and experience more of the Greek culture and food, a more inclusive excursion was right for us. Final note: pick pocketing is an industry in Greece - BE FOREWARNED!
