  1. Nassau? The three-day cruise would be "at sea", Nassau, "at sea". The four-day could do an overnight in Nassau. Package the cruise with a day pass to the Margaritaville in Nassau.
  2. Is Anthem due for a drydock? Maybe that's the need for a different ship. The ship does need some TLC in certain areas.
  3. They stayed in their own cabin. I think with ships at or near capacity, they can't hold empty rooms for COVID quarantines anymore.
  4. On my recent Anthem cruise, most staff didn't wear a mask. There was a couple in our FB group that said they both got COVID midway through the cruise and we're quarantined for the remainder of the cruise. Some tested positive after the cruise. Like anywhere you go now, you take a risk in possibly contracting it.
  5. The prices for the 11 day Odyssey cruises are nice! I noticed they cut out a port and are only doing four ports. They then have a 12 day at the end of January that has six ports which I think I'll consider.
  6. The only downfall would be not having an indoor pool. The SeaPlex on Odyssey has Playmakers and they don't have the four separate main dining rooms. Odyssey also has the Lime & Coconut/El Loco Fresh.
  7. Waiting on the Odyssey sailings out of Cape Liberty for the Winter 2024-25 season.
  8. Pre-COVID, the Bahamas Cruise Line had two ships running, mostly full all of the time. With Costa Cruise Lines giving away their ships now(3 to Carnival, 2 to Carnival China and 2 to SeaJets), I wonder if Margaritaville might look for a second ship soon(Costa Serena?). With a Margaritaville resort in Nassau, I do wonder if they might look to do 3/4 day sailings to Nassau in the future with a second ship?
  9. I've found very little on Carnival China's venture as Adora Cruise Line. Have both Costa ships that were transferred actually sailing now?
  10. Jeff is just one of two CDs I remember, which is why I was so happy to have him again on my recent Anthem cruise. It seems so easy for a CD to just do a routine job. Jeff is also very personable to talk to. Can't say the same about other CDs.
  11. I don't see the Odyssey's itineraries for January 2025. I hope they're keeping the 11 day sailings out of Cape Liberty.
  12. So next week we get a confirmation if Odyssey will replace the Anthem in 2024-25.
  13. Costa slowly getting rid of their ships one by one. I believe they'll only have 7 ships come 2024. Three transferred to Carnival, two to Carnival China, two to SeaJets.
  14. Still waiting on a confirmation that Odyssey will replace the Anthem in 2024-25.
  15. On my recent cruises, they had two comedians. One during the first half and another during the second half that did a regular show at 8pm and then another "adults only" show at 10:30pm. This was on an 11-day cruise however.
  16. I know COVID was brought up in this cruise, but according to my cruise's FB group, several guests tested positive for COVID either midway through the cruise or a day or two after.
  17. Cruise ships have always had phones available to use for emergencies. Had to go to guest services or wait until you go to a port and were lucky find someone to borrow a phone. Had an emergency when sailing on Carnival in 2004 and they were very kind to offer the phone. There was a fee though.
  18. I'll be Diamond+ soon, do they get two days(48 hours) of free Wi-Fi?
  19. Sailed during Yeshiva week on the Anthem years ago and it was chaos. We're now aware of when this week is every January and avoid sailing then. If I wanted to sail with 2,000 kids, I'd go in the summer. I'm used to the January cruises being very light on children.
  20. Uh-oh. The old lady is having mobility issues again...
  21. When I booked the Anthem for Jan. 2024 while onboard, the Next Cruise agent said a different ship will replace her for 2024-25. When I got home today and talked to my travel agent, she said the same thing. So I'm thinking these itineraries will be released shortly. Looks like it will be the Odyssey.
  22. Don't think RCCL will go back to having the staff serve in the Windjammer. That would require more staff and all cruise lines are struggling with staffing as is
  23. Waiting on if Cape Liberty will have the Anthem or Odyssey for Winter 2024-25.
