When I booked the Anthem for Jan. 2024 while onboard, the Next Cruise agent said a different ship will replace her for 2024-25. When I got home today and talked to my travel agent, she said the same thing. So I'm thinking these itineraries will be released shortly. Looks like it will be the Odyssey.
Don't think RCCL will go back to having the staff serve in the Windjammer. That would require more staff and all cruise lines are struggling with staffing as is
First time with Perry on the Anthem. He definitely draws a crowd as the Schooner Bar is always standing room only. I find him hysterical. He actually has laryngitis currently and as of last night is doing just instrumental with sing a longs. But he's still doing his interaction with the audience best he can.
Can a medical evacuation happen there? Maybe Disney had a medical emergency, couldn't dock at Nassau, but had CocoCay as an option? Only plausible reason why a Disney ship would dock there.
Only newly boarded crew are required to mask. Joff Eaton just boarded and mentioned this at the Top Tier event this morning and why he has to wear a mask until Monday. If COVID was an issue, I'd think they'd ask the crew to mask up.
I'm on the Anthem now. Did you deal with long lines to enter the MDR? Between 6:30-7:30 it takes up to 20-30 to be seated. And that's with a reservation. Only issue so far with the current cruise. We're rocking tonight due to a coastal storm off of the Carolinas. Should be smooth sailings starting tomorrow.
Confirmed from someone on the Anthem that the new menus won't happen until the January 24 cruise. So tomorrow's cruise will still feature the old menus.
My Dad doesn't drink and we always bring 2 bottles of N/A wine on board for him. Never an issue since RCCL doesn't sell it. One rare thing he misses about Carnival was they sold N/A wine.
It's the 11-day that is done in January. This year it's San Juan, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Kitts & St. Lucia.
For 2024 it's: Puerto Plata, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, St. Kitts and St. Lucia.
