I'd take the Explorer back if the Anthem isn't going anywhere. Explorer was perfect and Anthem is just bigger. Anthem has been cruising out of Bayonne since 2016. Time for a change.

Looking for the January cruises out of Bayonne mostly. Curious if we're finally getting a different ship or if they might go back to the 12-day cruises w/Barbados.

So do the longer Caribbean cruises get announced later? Only longer cruises I see currently are the two 12-day cruises for the Vision out of Baltimore in January 2025.

Costa still has the Magica laid-up in Italy. Wouldn't be surprised if she ends up as a Carnival ship next year. Costa also has the Serena & Diadema laid-up but both are scheduled to enter service shortly. Costa currently has just 8 ships operating, one of which is the Firenze. Costa's Atlantica & Mediterranea, both transferred to Carnival China(aka Adora Cruises), have yet to sail under their new names.

Still waiting to hear if the Odyssey will replace the Anthem in winter 2024-25.

Hearing conflicting reports on whether Anthem has it or not. Recent cruises on her have said both yes and no.

The Anthem will finally change it's 11-Day winter itinerary and will stop at Puerto Plata and St. Thomas now instead of San Juan and Antigua. 🤞 The rumors are true that Odyssey will replace her for the 2024-25 Winter season.

Always thought Boleros was never big enough. Always tough on Anthem to get a seat in the evening.

CNN just re-aired their interview. He said he had to swim through schools of jellyfish and luckily didn't get stung once. Uhh? He also claims to have found sticks of bamboo in the water and ate those? Plus the fact he was almost naked when he fell over but was unconscious when he hit the water? Still too many loopholes in his stories.

All the speculation on how he fell over is nice and all but the biggest question (still) is how was he able to tread water for so long?

I think the Journey cruises by Carnival are priced so high is because they don't tend to offer many long cruises. Realistically, they don't go much longer than an 8-day cruise for Carnival. Other lines frequently offer 9 to 14 day cruises.

As much as I'd love to do this cruise, it is a bit disappointing to see the cruise isn't spending all that much time in the two ports. I'd prefer an overnight in one of them and nix one of the Canadian ports.

Any good all-inclusive beaches in Antigua? Heard about Jolly Beach but getting mixed things on whether they're open and taking cruise passengers? Pineapple Beach Resort is another option but their prices appear very high.

Back in 2018 it was $25 for two people for chairs and an umbrella. Still the same price?

The Explorer "amp" was supposed to happen in 2020, now almost three years later is still being sidelined. Explorer needs some kind of update to keep pace with the other Voyager-class ships.

Any post COVID update if they still offer day passes? And if so, anyone know what they are charging?

If he was drunk, I find it harder to believe that he was able to stay afloat without some kind of floatation device.

I just don't think he fell over at 11pm. Probably around 3am/4am in the middle of the night. Still hard to believe he tread water that long without drowning.

There's definitely something missing from the story. It's simply unfathomable that he was able to tread water for 22 hours. Who knows exactly when he went overboard. Might have been early morning instead of 11pm.

Yes. Last time on the Anthem, none of the Xboxes worked. I think they're tired of fixing them. Might as well turn it into something that makes money. Plus there's ping pong on the other side of the SeaPlex.

I heard that during Anthem's next drydock, they'll add in Playmakers.
