  1. With various reports of a spike in COVID cases on ships now, I wonder if they might bring back pre-cruise testing? Are any ships reporting/announcing COVID cases? Are any ships currently dealing with staff shortages?
  2. Heard the WiFi is terrible inside your stateroom on the Anthem? Does it slow down in crowded areas?
  3. How are the crowds on the Anthem currently? Long lines waiting to enter the dining room?
  4. What a blessing to have Joff. I have friends on the Anthem Christmas cruise and they said Mario was terrible. I believe Joff was my CD on the 2019 Anthem cruise and he was wonderful.
  5. Not sure, but it makes me wonder if Anthem is due for a drydock during the winter 2024-25?
  6. I can't remember, but does the pub on the Anthem do the pitchers of beer?
  7. I'd be curious at the kids' cruising history and how many suites he's cruised solo in at his parents $$$.
  8. There's nothing in the signature of the member who started this thread.
  9. And considering the COVID shutdown, I'd assume he's been living on a cruise ship most of his life and probably always in a suite.
  10. @DELTABLUEis there a confirmed sailing or date for when Joff Eaton is joining Anthem? Had him once on the Anthem and he's amazing. Would love it if he's on my Jan. 13 sailing.
  11. I'm guessing Joff will hop on the Anthem for the January 13 cruise?
  12. Their pub burger is excellent. However, if you go during an off-time, the food takes a long time to make. Back in 2018, waited 45 minutes for the burger. Got it discounted for 50% off due to the inconvenience.
  13. Don't see the Paradise or Elation being sold yet. Legend is already headed to Europe for 2024, so Carnival would be without a ship for Tampa in 2024. Unless they plan to axe Jacksonville cruises soon? Could be the two former Costa ships that were supposed to switch over to Carnival China. The third is probably AIDA's oldest ship.
  14. The Magica is expected to leave the Costa fleet. Whether it is flipped as a Carnival ship is still TBD. Regardless, with just 7 available ships that can actually sail out of Mobile, Tampa, Jacksonville & Baltimore, Carnival needs to decide what ships to homeport long-term. Can a Dream-class ship go to Australia instead? Keep the Spirit in Mobile, Paradise & Pride in Tampa, Legend in Baltimore, Elation in Jacksonville. Miracle & Luminosa can stay out west for Long Beach & Alaska.
  15. Looks like just the Paradise in Tampa from April 2024 - Nov. 2024 until the Legend comes over for the winter.
  16. Anthem has been sailing out of Bayonne in the Winter for almost 8 years now. Her regulars wouldn't mind a change, even if it comes without an indoor pool.
  17. Would need to be a longer cruise. Unless they only did St. Thomas/St. Maartern & CocoCay. Day 1 & 2: Sea days Day 3: St. Thomas Day 4: Sea day Day 5: CocoCay Day 6 & 7: Sea days
  18. Not official, but Heald posted recently that Europe will be getting something Legend-ary for 2024.
  19. Explorer used to sail the Winters out of Bayonne before the Quantum-class was established. Very successful & popular.
