  1. Not sure if they do anything different in Chops or Jamies, but I had thanksgiving dinner in Izumi on Symphony last year and there was nothing different about the menu or the service.
  2. Ok that makes sense. I knew it happened around one of my last 2 cruises so I guess it was right before my November cruise last year. Feels like that just happened.
  3. Maybe so 🤔. Time flies for me. I know that it was at least between my cruise last November and my cruise this July. Or maybe it happened before my November cruise. Wait, how old am I again? 😂
  4. Yes symphony has one, I've done it. It was fun but it was too hard for me so I was of no help 😂. We didn't solve the puzzle but afterwards they explained it to us and it made sense.
  5. Based on what you've said your family likes and doesn't like, I'd suggest Jamie's (pasta). Wonderland is definitely for a more adventurous palette, and it doesn't sound like this is a good fit for your family. If it were me, I'd pick 150 Central Park, Hibachi, then Chops, probably in that order. You guys actually might find food you'll all like at the Hibachi.
  6. Thank you 🏆 And also, since you can't do it to yourself...
  7. They should at least give people a coupon for something on the ship. Even if it's like a 25% discount at the gift shop, a buy-one-get-one drink at the bar, something. People don't have to use it, but if they do, Royal makes some money in the process that they probably wouldn't have made otherwise. Missed opportunity on their part.
  8. Sorry that your family had this frustrating experience during your vacation. Sounds like there isn't a well understood protocol for the staff to follow when this happens. Very frustrating I'm sure. I'm glad your mom is ok, and it's good that you were able to see a bright side in the scenario in not being in Israel during the start of the war and evacuations.
  9. Don't forget - you can always marry your way in 😂 My guess is that the points and status levels will soon be diluted, making it so they're worse less and less.
  10. I would have taken the half and half over plain old watery milk. The only thing offered on my last cruise (Spectrum out of Singapore/Japan in August) only had milk for passenger use. If you asked the coffee bar they'd pour almond milk for you, but half and half and cream were not available, even behind the counter.
  11. Playmakers is like a Chili's restaurant with more tvs for watching sports and some video games. Not sure why it says 21+ but it's definitely family friendly, and I've eaten there with my daughter before she turned 21.
  12. I was gonna do that sailing but cancelled it on Monday because I have too much going on to guarantee I can make it, and final payment is next week. I'm kinda bummed about it, but have another cruise booked for July, so, oh well. 1st world problem 😂
  13. Agreed. Unless you don't care about your hair, or don't have much of it.
  14. Based on the list posted above, I'm guessing Idol.
  15. I just canceled the first leg of an 18 day back to back for next summer. No problems or affect on the second leg. They have separate booking numbers.
  16. If you want to fly to Asia and go on a cruise from there, you can get the deluxe package for about $43/day. But then there's the whole "fly to Asia" thing, which will negate all your savings. The deluxe beverage package prices have gotten way out of hand. I don't even think the refreshment package is worth the money anymore.
  17. I meant to say "would have" started to diminish the enjoyment. Not wouldn't have.
  18. I paid for my daughter to do the iFly experience because the free options were all taken, even before we boarded the ship, and if any additional free slots opened up after boarding, we were never able to find them. We also questioned how the 2 minute limit was gonna be, but my daughter said after doing it, she understands why it's so short, and she felt like it was plenty of time. They actually put about 5 people in a group and the session itself lasts around half an hour (maybe even a whole hour if you include the safety briefing and getting fitted for the outfit, helmet and goggles). Then once they get to the iFly portion, each person goes in for a practice for maybe 30 seconds, then they watch the other people do their practice, then go back in for another 30 seconds, repeat, then I think the 3rd time they go in for a full minute. My daughter said that with all the wind blowing at you, it takes a lot of work to keep your form correct, and being in there for longer wouldn't have started to diminish the enjoyment.
  19. St. John's, Antigua or St. John, US Virgin Island would have been nice, but way too far away, unfortunately. Sailing during September/October is cheaper for a reason. It's kind of like buying something from the "mystery bag." You might get a great deal on something good, or you might get the item the store couldn't sell to anyone else. It's a crapshoot.
