  1. Thanks, good to know. Seems odd to me that AQ is a category above concierge but yet does not get the lunch perk that a lower category cabin does.
  2. Is there any kind of a embarkation day lunch "perk" that is attached to AQ?
  3. A significant thread drift has occurred that has taken the discussion a long way from the OPs questions. What else will be different from Princess so I'm not thrown off? Any and all insight/hints/etc are very much appreciated!
  4. I'm still awaiting a response to a May 15th email (with a June 15th follow-up) email sent to her. For all the good it will do, I'll send a second follow-up on July 15. This time I'll also post to the Princess twitter page.
  5. We use VeriFLY and have the paper foundation documents handy just in case. Have never had an issue with VeriFLY. Quite seamless.
  6. Pure unadulterated bu..alony!! enjoy your fantasy.
  7. The subject at hand is SOFT DRINKS. Does your statement Not any more. Not allowed to bring on. refer to alcoholic beverages and/or plastic bottles rather than CANS of SOFT DRINKS?
  8. Please elaborate. Seems your information may not be accurate.
  9. Hey Princess, are you hearing the pax angst and taking note of all of those jumping ship to Celebrity??
  10. There are always the big box TAs if you are OK with store gift cards as rebates. When they made that change from a cash rebate, we found a β€œreal” TA that we just love. Wish I could share their name. πŸ‘‘
  11. Methinks they've already crossed that border and are now in the land of tort.
  12. Plz let know what you learn. Should be interesting.
  13. That's the really sad part. They get abundant feedback. They simply don't listen. Or seem to give a rip.
  14. Better yet, capture the normally better fares using XAir/EZAir, etc, select seats on your airline of choice and check your seating assignment regularly, like an eagle. Over the years I've experienced what you did after an aircraft change, etc when booking direct with the airline so I don't believe booking direct is the solution. The airline will also sometimes move pax to undesirable seats. It's completely incumbent on the passenger to look out for her/his own booking and wellbeing. This, of course, takes a few keystrokes from time to time but heck, I look at as part of the fun!
  15. Received the confirmation and record locator immediately upon booking as @kenbapparently did. Unlike @kenb's experience, I was able to select/confirm seats at that time on AA, before final payment. Being located near DFW, we never fly United so can't comment on them. This is the first time we've used Celebrity air and wondered how this might work. We use EZAir (Princess) a lot and have always had the same experience with them. As I said earlier, I'm Platinum with AA but I can't see that this makes a difference. But maybe it does. I really don't know how to confirm or refute this part.
  16. Really kinda wish it wasn't necessary to take this step. We've been Princess loyalists/defenders for a very long time but with their current anti-customer bent, maybe it's time to move on. I don't see them becoming pro-consumer anytime soon. Truly sad. Not really hijacking your thread @glm77777, simply agreeing with you and the deplorable treatment you and your fellow pax are receiving.
  17. Equinox. Doing a 10 day S. Caribbean as a trial run.
  18. Kinda what we are thinking. We have 6 Princess cruises booked that are still outside of final payment. If X is all we hear that it is, I'll have a lot of cancellation/booking to do when we return on Sept 8th!!
  19. With a normal consumer centered business, this suggestion would make a world of sense. But I'm finding that at PCL, Swartz, Padgett nor any of the rest of them give a tinker's damn about any of us.
  20. A $100 OBC for the havoc they've caused a bunch of paying customers? Big damned deal. I feel your pain. While it may feel good to vent on CC to what is a very limited slice of the totality of present and potential PCL customers, it's numbers that matter to the bean counters. My suggestion would be to hit them hard on social media. Give them a deservedly strong thrashing on Twitter, FB or wherever the consumer masses hang out these days. If everyone made their feelings known to a wider audience, not just the comparative few here on CC, perhaps even the bean counters might notice. As an aside, we just booked our first Celebrity cruise for this August.
