  5. Wife and I were on the PE to Southampton segment (first part of what was to have been a B2B for us) that docked on 5.1. Wife contracted the C virus mid cruise so we were involuntarily disembarked at Southampton on 5.1 anong with bus loads of other folks. We witnessed hundreds, literally. Princess put us up and paid for a hotel in the LHR area. Given the state of the infections that were surely still on board, I cannot image that the remaining 9 days that we missed were anything but miserable. Being involuntarily disembarked in Southampton and allowed to enjoy London (at that particular moment in time, masking and other C virus measure had already been abandoned in London) at our leisure was a godsend.

Though I was surprised when the HW (rather round Italian guy, can't remember his name) said "see you tomorrow" on what I naturally assumed would be our last specialty bkfst day there before the second half of the B2B started. Pleasant surprise. Perhaps, but unlikely, this is done only on the CB. YMMV
  9. We've always had the suite bkfst in one of the two restaurants on turn around day. That said, the only times we've done it when we've been in a suite for both halves of the B2B. Your situation is a very interesting twist. We'd be interested to learn how it's handled in your particular case.

  11. Shhhhhh...........don't let the Princess naysayers learn that Princess has done something really right. It would totally screw up their narrative. Like you, we recently experienced some Princess created problems that we made Sr. Mgt. aware of. They responded in a way that made us whole and then some.

  15. Remember to always turn automatic updates OFF as soon as you board. If not, this can be responsible for spotty performance as your device is using up bandwidth trying to download potentially very large updates to one of your apps. Turn auto updates back ON when you arrive back at home port so you can catch up with whatever you may have missed.
  16. Why would it bother you if someone wore shorts in the MDR for dinner? Are you looking at this as a fashion violation or a rules violation?

  19. Please don't let it be. As others have said, ramp up problems exist across the cruise line spectrum. Princess isn't alone in experiencing a few bumps along. It is our firm belief that in spite of what you will always hear from the naysayers who post here, Princess continues to be a class act. We expect that to continue. So much so that we have 5 cruises booked starting in October and continuing into next year. We've voted with our checkbook.

  21. I'm guessing that you've decided to abandon Princess in favor of another cruise line? You don't sound really happy with Princess.
  22. Again, respectfully disagree. The upsell solicitations/emails are generated by PCL and sent out only to those who are offered the upsell "opportunity". If you are not a designated recipient of the upsell solicitation/email, you will never know such an opportunity ever existed.
