  1. Playa Pichilingue is the closest to the terminal.
  2. For anyone who has been to La Paz, did you debark at the dock in Pichilinque, if so, were there taxis or any other ways to get around for the day? Thinking of a visit to Tecolote Beach to enjoy some seafood, beach time and jetskis. I would also be interested to know if anyone has a recommendation for a pool day pass in the immediate area. I found one location that has one but it's a bit away from Pichilinque and I'm not sure what the transportation options are looking like and if they are reliable to wander far from the ship. Any info would be appreciated as the ship excursions are lackluster at best and I may have to put together my own adventure. Thanks!
  3. The room steward card works perfectly. Two-fold function!
  4. Well, I was reading a lady's review in a different sub forum here since her itinerary is one I'd like to do and she kept using BBC in reference to some type of drink and I googled it 😳. Urban dictionary is usually very helpful. Lets just say there is more than one meaning for BBC and I found the rest of the review hilarious as I read it 🤣. I did find the drink reference too eventually.
  5. Thanks for the info, looks like Princess has five excursions, unfortunately, none of them look that interesting. Hopefully, there will be more options by the time the cruise comes around. Glad there is a dock at least.
  6. I noticed this on Panorama as well, a lot more people are vaping these days and it cuts down on the cigarette stench. The folks at the tables were 100% vaping only when I was in there, still some analog smokers for sure but a lot less than before.
  7. Amen! Preach sister! Hope it returns one day. 😡
  8. I have an 8 day on Panorama booked next year in November and looking forward to it, hope they add some nice excursions. Excited about La Paz. There isn't any excursions listed so far. I've also heard they have no port so it will be a tender situation, hopefully it's a long stop to account for that.
  9. San Diego is great for So Cal folks but for us Nor Cal folks it adds many more hours of driving. Long beach is a good middle ground to cover most of the state from Sac on down. San Diego is a great city to visit on it's own though to be sure but I wouldn't choose to cruise from there if both were options. Carnival would be competing with itself and end up with less demand on both ships. It makes much more financial sense to have one port, plus they run the port and have more control.
  10. I think this is it right here, plus once you have cruises booked, the offers are (for me anyways) the generic ones that are available for everyone. I too have gotten the Australia offers but airfare kills it for me. Certainly an itinerary I'd like to do one day though, just can't justify the expense of it.
  11. Mine was great last cruise. Perfectly cooked and tender. I should have gotten another as it was a bit thin. But it was fantastic, though thin. Probably depends of the chef and luck of the draw. If it gets overcooked, they aren't going to toss it, plus it depends on the area of cut you get, center will be best and then more well done from there out to the edges.
  12. You should have a lot of antibodies from the previous infections and the additional protection from the vaccine/booster. I'd say your odds are pretty good. I'm pretty sure we had the OG covid just before all heck broke lose and after testing like 20 different times for cold symptoms (I have kids in school and we got notified almost daily of cases), none were positive for covid. We didn't wear masks for our April cruise and were negative when we got home. I did avoid comedy club and shows though, so I'm not sure if that is where most folks are picking it up, laughing/drinking in close proximity is probably the riskiest event on a ship, even though most seem to blame the dining rooms. I did do excursions, dining rooms, casino, and talked to various passengers onboard and on excursions and made it out unscathed. My kids also did the kids club. Hope you have a great trip and the odds are in your favor.
  13. Hope you all feel better soon, looking forward to the rest of the review.
  14. I think your husband is right. Usually gift cards don't count as travel, at least I've never seen it count on any of my cards T/C. You need to see how they are coded, if it's codded under travel it may work. It's like the safway gas is included sometimes if you go inside and buy a stick of gum and add gas, it gets coded as grocery instead of fuel. 4 Offer is exclusive to AAA Preferred Rewards Visa Credit Card holders enrolled in the AAA Rewards program. 15. LOL, I dig it! That's the spirit! Great review and nice photos. Have a great cruise on 6/11!
  16. Great review! Glad to see folks having a great time on cruises! These types of reviews make me want to jump on a ship. 😃
  17. Great point! Totally titillating for data geeks like me lol. The possibilities are vast. Efficiency is king!
  18. Interesting from the user interface but the potential for cruise lines is even more enormous. They could use that vast data stream to save lots of cash and reduce waste, redundancies and amp up the customer experience. These streams usually take weeks or months to reveal themselves but having it in real time could reduce that to hours/days. Amazing.
