  1. Hmmm. Did the same Princess Cruise in 2022. There were 250 kids under 12 and 250 teens. Lots of running about. Glad it was little ones that ran into me. Holiday and spring break cruises tend to be full! Very full. Did a prior cruise during spring break on X on West Coast. Lots of college age passengers. Fewer kids. Lots quieter. Would not choose either line for holidays or spring break.
  2. If you are Elite+ you need to contact the Captain's Club with your and your wife's CClub numbers. They will give her the same number of points and make her Elite+. Much better that way. Once and done
  3. The obvious question is discussing a cabin and looking forward to Budapest. While Pest is an absolutely wonderful city, what is the connection to Celebrity?
  4. Who flies from Manchester to Barcelona? That might tell you which terminal Cannot imagine it would be a big deal as it was about a 5 minute walk plus the Skywalk to get between the furthest terminals. Have been ticketed as little as a week out.
  5. Agree with going to roll call and ports of call. The problem is most excursion operators are new as are the excursions since cruising restarted. Many old operators went out of business. So reviews that are not recent are often not very relevant. Also remember people tend to post complaints more than compliments.
  6. Just got off Emerald Princess. The various classes of cabins was actually similar. The difference being the MDR system that was chaos on our cruise. Probably more entertainment about Celebrity than Princess. Usually at least 2 and sometimes 3 venues late afternoon thru evening. They play throughout the ship near bars and in open areas. By the pool if nice weather. Shows - No difference except the theatre on Princess was smaller and could not always get a seat. Missed the cook to order stations on Celebrity in OV for lunch. Selection otherwise similar. Very similar overall. Would make my choice on itinerary with a nod to Celebrity on organization. No major problems like 3 hour wait to tender or 2 hours to get seated for dinner on multiple nights. But that could have been cruise specific.
  7. Agree - there are situations where getting back to the ship on time is a concern. If thought comes uptake the ships tour. I have been on an independent tour that did not get back on time. For example Leharve to Paris is a long ride of 2+ hours each way. On a Friday when traffic from the city to Normandy is heavy no way would I go on my own. In many places like Skagway AK we simply rent a car. Flexible and go where we want.
  8. Bed position really doesn't matter as no outside reference point. Obviously less side to side motion felt on lower decks and midship, but with stabilizers unless it is rough little motion. Some cruises are smooth and others are not so judgment based on a single cruise doesn't help much. Had an inside on deck 3 great. Same on higher deck aft and had vibrations.
  9. Think the web page screen shot says it all. Except for the reduced deposit and extra OBC the terms are the same. You need to pay the $100 with a credit card. If your cruise was booked with a TA it will AUTOMATICALLY be assigned to that TA unless you tell them otherwise. You can arrange payment using whatever with them.
  10. I would check now to fix things as there are limited seats. How did you book? If with a TA they can fix it. Otherwise Try online first. If not call Celebrity near opening on a weekday morning is usually less waiting. An 11am transfer would be strange as you need to be off the ship by 9-9:15. Something doesn't make sense.
  11. Every balcony on Shilouette has partial shade unless it is late afternoon and you are sailing directly away from the sun. Lots of photos in the cabin listings.
  12. The OP said he had some "two dozen transactions " with Celebrity. And that he would have noticed a larger amount. Anyone had a cruise with two dozen transactions with Celebrity? Seems not the TAs fault, but rather a bit of chaos from the beginning. If he didn't notice a $300+/- error in his statement why such a big deal paying it? I have gone to checkin and been told I owed $$ regarding a MoveUp. Had a choice pay it or not cruise.
  13. Actually it is your job to verify your statements as correct. Would you have noticed if they charged you twice? When you booked, cancelled and then rebooked did it not seem a good idea at the time to check your account? Chill and enjoy your cruise. You had a few hundred of their money for a while. Also remember if you use a TA everything must go through your TA.
  14. All cabins on Equinox were redone in 2019. The embarkation lunch is nice in that you are out of the hustle and noise of boarding. The menu has been different every time. Think of a regular MDR lunch just like when you last cruised.
  15. The OP Showed 4 appetizers that were soups and salads. There were also 4 classic appetizers available. Personally a soup or salad or a shrimp cocktail is great. The appetizers we had on our last cruise had scallops - which in reality was 1 sea scallop. Similar with most other "specials".
  16. Yes it is possible to ask. Can't hurt. We usually move the table from inside our room to the veranda.
  17. The Celebrity shuttle from the People Mover in Venice is simple. Convenient? There was a bit of walking needed. Easier than the train or a Flixbus? Certainly it is a shuttle to the pier.
  18. The OP asked a question got got probably as an answer. Giving medical advice to try another medication doesn't help the OP. MY DW saw her doctor two days ago. He wanted to change one of her medications, but said to wait until we return from a holiday because of the slight chance of needing care when away because of the new med. Made sense to me. To the OP - Our experience was on the Century. Long ago.
  19. The sparkling wines completely vary depending on where you are cruising and what they have in stock. DW has always liked the Prosecco.
  20. You need to decide. There is free wifi and good mobile phone service in every port. We do not usually use our phones except when on port. Others are on theirs all the time. The service like every ship is very slow compared to at home.
  21. The TA possibly had group space with WiFi and a beverage package included. I suspect the OP will find that they have paid gratuities as well when they get the copy of booking from the TA and Celebrity.
  22. Menus and preparation vary only very slightly from ship to ship. You should be happy on board any ship in the X fleet
  23. The Retreat is an area on board for suite guests to use. You need to look at suites. Note there are only a few sky suites. Depending on where you are looking to they might call them Aqua Sky Suites. All suites are much more expensive than any of the others. Would a handicapped room help?
