  1. Suggest you go to the Celebrity website for the ship you have interest and look. Much more than a sauna.
  2. There are several websites that will scan for cabins. They are also TAs and cannot be mentioned here. The problem is that until a week or two before sailing many TAs will have group blocks. Those cabins will not show as available, but might not be sold. Also until the final payment date one can cancell and only lose $100 so no real penalty. As said lots of categories and subcategories. Lots of effort for what is not likely to be very accurate.
  3. We like a firm but not hard mattress. Ours on Summit was great. Good sleeping very comfortable.
  4. Each cruiseline has their own policies. Celebrity website has an unusual explanation - in that it is perfectly clear and concise! - no deviations(downlining) are permitted with the one exception: if you booked air through Flights by Celebrity you can join at the first possible port. We have left several Pacific Coast cruises in Victoria in the past. We were told absolutely NO both last year and for this year.
  5. 11 - 3 on our last cruise. Agree a nice touch.
  6. Am also very confused. The plus beverage package no longer exists unless you purchased it long ago. What is the connection between beverage packages and sailaway?
  7. Never had any particular issue on weekends vs. weekdays. Sometimes just restart phone. Others clear cache or just close all open pages. You likely were on your phone and cleared something that caused the issue. People having issues with Celebrity app or website are nothing new. What would be new is if nobody had any issues. Moving on.
  8. Agree to get pastries and goodies at Bacio. They are free without a beverage package. Nothing else but enjoy.
  9. I have flown in Europe using a photo of my passport. I carried a copy of the police report showing details of where it was stolen from our rental car. Was able to fly to the US using the photo after contacting the Embassy in Madrid. They faxed paperwork to a hotel. Spent HOURS AND HOURS sorting it out. On our last cruise the locals wanted Seapass and government ID in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia. Found security was lots higher. Maybe because of holiday time?
  10. Let's try this again. Profcruise website has a photo from March of the complete wine list. Celebrity has the wine list by the bottle for Luminae. On our last cruise the exact list was shown to us in the MDR. The "list" was nice but almost 75% were not available and there were a couple dozen available that were not on the list. The bottle list was the same for Equinox and Summit- what was available was not.
  11. The shows are almost always 45 minutes. In 20+ cruises main shows in the theatre have been at 7 & 9pm. The only changes were a couple cancelled shows - acrobats and rough weather & same for a dance show. You cannot know what shows will be on any given night. They work the ship's production shows around the entertainers that fly in and out. Even when posted they have switched nights. The app will usually tell you what will be the show in the theater a day or two ahead.
  12. The thread to be very meaningful will need to include both whether more than say 200 miles from land and a general time of day. Speed is reduced when not land based and throttling effects speeds during the day and early evening doesn't it?
  13. Status has nothing to do with when staterooms are ready. Today you go to your cabin, drop your carryon and grab your seapass. Thus no big deal. Go have some lunch and by around 1pm or so +/- it is yours. If you have a special need they can be ready sooner
  14. There are lists on line at profcruise and other sites but all pretty meaningless. Last cruise had class than 1/2 of those on the basic list and many that were not on the list. A Google search will get you pics of wine lists from various venues and multiple sources The lists are different from venue to venue. Just as wines change from ship to ship.and where you are sailing.
  15. With the time limitation you are in the maybe category. If you are able to get there and back you would have almost zero time in Monaco. Not sure you could even do that. Your post is a bit confusing as to when. Before you cruise, on a port call or?
  16. Much better views from your veranda than most of the suites.
  17. Great comments unless you are in a country where taxis do not accept cash. Transport in the EU is rapidly going cashless. Learned long ago I do not need the latest iPhone. Unlikely to have a pickpocket steal my phone from a velcroed pocket. Rest of the stuff you list above is inside my shirt on a lanyard
  18. No helmet required in my state of residence. BUT . . . . if you sustain a head injury that could have been reduced or prevented if you were wearing a helmet - you cannot collect for a head injury even if the other person was at fault. As for not knowing the location of life jackets or muster station - Impossible to cure stupid.
  19. As said over and over and over. Use a GOOD TA. PS Be sure to make sure you can call, get reasonably fast call backs and nice extra OBC.
  20. Have always had it available on board. Would go to excursion desk after boarding.
  21. An outside company does MoveUp. The prices are computer generated. The prices could be reduced - ours were recently - if they do not sell out. Impossible to know how many suites are available until under 30 days out as some TAs likely still have GTY suites in a group block that do not always show as sold. If too expensive- Don't Bid. We aren't on out upcoming cruise. Happy in Aqua.
  22. You are overthinking this. If the ship rolls 5° the difference between deck 9 and 11 is under 1'. That would be winds above 40kts. The "connecting" cabin is a non issue. Move aft under the carpeted area on 9 or take one on deck 11. We have been in both and liked deck 11 cabins as VERY quiet with easy access to deck 10. Heard nothing in any of deck 9 cabins in either area, but moving aft might allay your concerns. Heat is not an issue for deck 11 cabins. They actually have never HVAC than the others. Temps adjusted fast.
  23. I would simply contact the vendor. Those private shore excursion providers I have used for groups have always asked for the name of the ship and emailed confirmation of the dates, ship and time. When I book as an individual, once again the providers usually ask for the name of the ship and have a policy about refunding if there is a port change. If not I usually book elsewhere. As I already stated we have had ports changed or missed on our last 5 cruises with no notice until after we boarded. The tour providers should get daily updates on port arrival details. 2 of those medical emergencies with zero notice.
  24. profcruise.com has lots of up to date pictures of bar menus. You can also do a Google search. There are lots of others that have posted recent beverage menus.
  25. To answer your question, no. Again the 5 year drydock is required to certify as seaworthy. Has nothing to do with cosmetic issues. Replacing all "worn furniture " immediately? Think about what that could mean.
