  1. It’s not the water, it’s the food.
  2. I have Cheers on my upcoming cruise and I plan on having many of the Patron Anejo at $19 a shot. The dollar limit amount is $20.00.
  3. 17 days for me until I'm on the Panorama!!
  4. Haven't been on a Carnival ship in a while but in 20 days, my tradition will be once on board, get muster done, get a Fun Ship Special, go to Guy's burger for lunch, go to the buffet for a slice of Funfetti cheesecake, then sit in the atrium with a drink until the room is ready. Can't wait!
  5. My cruise next month has these times too and they are not ideal. Most things will be open from my prior experience.
  6. The Fun Ship is a tradition for me. Only 32 more days to go!
  7. These are my favorite balconies on the Royal class ships. Was in S218 on Discovery last November and absolutely loved it. I could open my cabin door to see how crowded the Retreat pool was. Go grab a drink at the Retreat bar. The Lido deck was one flight down. The hot tubs were one deck above. No noise and the balcony is a tad bit larger than the regular balconies. I don’t think you’d be disappointed at all. View from my cabin door.
  8. This was from my Mexican Riviera cruise on the Discovery Princess last November. All of the food was very good.
  9. We booked a Thanksgiving cruise 3 days before departure on a Royal Caribbean ship, called and got the last interior cabin available. When we entered the cabin on embarkation day, there was a crew member all settled in, working on his PC at the desk. We all went to GS to get it straightened out and unfortunately the crew member was moved. I still feel bad for him to this day.
  10. Yes, they have people at the port that will provide the wheelchair and assistance getting on the ship.
  11. This is my thought too. He went overboard and was not detected.
  12. Get on board as early as possible, grab a drink at the bar in the Piazza and have a seat and take it all in, go to MDR for lunch, do muster, go to cabin when ready, wipe down surfaces, go grab another drink and explore.
  13. I’ve done the same thing a few times. 🤣
  14. My first solo cruise was on Discovery last November and it was The.Best.Time.Ever.! So nice to do what you want, when you want and change your mind about it and not have to worry about anyone else. I did eat dinner in the MDR at the same table by myself every night and it was wonderful. A few people at other tables around me asked if I'd like to join them but I politely declined. I don't mind dining alone. I have another solo booked on Carnival in October and then another on Discovery next April and I'm really looking forward to them.
  15. This is awesome! Thank you for the link and thank you to @Saint Greg for putting this together!
  16. We sure did, a 5.1 about 20 miles from me. It’s been a day for sure. I was supposed to be camping at the beach in Ventura but I canceled due to the storm, with the earthquake, there probably would’ve been a Tsunami Warning as well. 😳🙄🤣
  17. Right!? When it started shaking, I was thinking are you kidding me right now. One natural disaster at a time. 🤣
  18. I’m wondering how the Carnival Panorama is doing and how rough the seas are for them. They’re headed to Mexico with the altered itinerary skipping Mazatlan. I’m about an hour north of Los Angeles and it’s coming down pretty good with lots of wind.
  19. Chickpeas were added to it too. The salad wasn’t bad but not a classic by any means and as Torfamm said, you can order the regular one.
  20. If I remember correctly, Pacific Moon had an Asian themed decor. I didn’t dine there on my last cruise but I agree, a table by the window is the best.
  21. The menus are the same but the decor is different in each one. I really like Savoy, with its dark, rich wood decor. Vivaldi is also nice. When I was on Sapphire last September, the Sante Fe dining room was for Club Class.
