Have you asked on the Bahamas. Board in Ports of Call?
-
As for the couple getting married, I would not do a name change until after the cruise. Passports are taking several months and if it did come before the cruise, the name could be changed on the booking to match. Otherwise they can sail that itinerary with BC and DL or other government issued photo ID. I don’t know what to say about the GF. Has she been approved but the card hasn’t arrived yet? When does her temporary expire? She should also travel with her South Africa passport…. You do not need a passport to cruise to Bermuda. They are part of the WHTI. EM

If you are sailing from the US I doubt the kids program will be full because it is. It school holidays. EM

The extra charge is still the case. The menus are fluid, not static across the board like on other lines. For instance, the Comfort Classics menu I had on Seaside in August is not quite the same as that menu posted recently for Merry and Seascape. EM

Trying to gage how full upcoming cruise could be.

It also depends on how many you are booking for. For instance I did a dummy booking for the Nov. 16 cruise on Seashore 4 day. For 2 guests there was plenty of availability. When I reduced it to a solo, sold out. I don’t know if they show quad cabins as available if you have specified a couple. I guess the only way to know would be to go back and try with 3 or 4, but I don’t have that much patience right now. EM -
Have you researched on the Ports of Call board?

Connecting is easy, but you cannot change between devices. If you want to use two devices, you need a two device plan. EM -
Pack water shoes for Ocean Cay. There will be one night when they encourage everyone to wear white. If you have multiple electronics to charge, you might want to bring a plug adapter for an EU outlet. There are two US and two EU outlets at the desk. There is no way to plug in a nightlight in the bathroom, so I used this the last cruise. It is magnetic and recharge by usb. I parked it on the bathroom wall across from the toilet.

Are you one a four or three day cruise? When I did the 4/3 B2B they opened the lower dining room to all My Choice on the three day cruise. Having a 2 top will mean you will have close neighbors… pics below are from the My Choice MDR on Seaside and the instructions about dining are in the Welcome Aboard paper:

I believe I e seen it in the buffet on Seaside, which means they probably have it on Merry. EM

Is this the lowest priced MSC cruise ever? $20 a night (inc. gratuities)
Essiesmom replied to 8420PR's topic in MSC Cruises
Costs more on the US site. For Fantastica, Aurea and YC I see 105 cabins, majority balcony. Since Bella is only gty I can’t count cabins. -
You will have old fashioned fixed dining with assigned time and table, you should have specified your preference for early or late when doing checkin. It will be printed on your cruise card, but there will be a time and place to request a change. When are you cruising? I have been on sister ship Seaside and will be on Seashore in Dec. if your cruise is 7 nights or more there will be a high proportion of non-North American cruisers, and I have found they tend to dress a little better than many of us, especially the ladies. No droopy drawers or spending the day in PJ pants. Food portions are not huge and they have gone to a charge of $5 for a second entree, a,though you can have as many apps and desserts as you want. I found the buffet quite good for breakfast and lunch…I never visited it for supper. My biggest problem is that the only free ice cream is in the MDR and limited hours for soft serve. Gelato is pricey but delicious, though. EM

At the bottom of it you will see CC Michell updated it 5 hours ago…

I tried to change mine, and it says the new one already exists. I still get mail shunted from the old one even though I no longer have the account. EM

These are crocs sandals (Patricia wedge) that I have had for probably 12 years. Not much tread left, but they walked all over Venice and the American southwest in 2012, and Venice again in 2013. Most comfortable shoes I have ever owned but when I first put them on in the spring I have to grease up until the calluses reform. I have a tube that never leaves my travel backpack.

Pretty sure MSC doesn't charge for "tap water", right?
Essiesmom replied to Stockjock's topic in MSC Cruises
Prior to Covid we sailed Bella and Fantastica and in the MDR were served water from a pitcher that I believe at one time contained ice. My last B2B on Seaside i bid up to Aurea. In tAurea portion of the MDR we were served water from a bottle which was left on the table (Acqua Panna). They decided that on the 3 day cruises the lower MDR would all be My Choice and I was seated there once, where ice water was served from a pitcher. EM -
@JamieLogicalposted them from her previous cruise. Maybe she can post a link. EM if you go to the upper left of the threads page, you will see Find your roll call…under that in smaller print is ‘See posts about’ and next to that select ship. Clicking on select ship brings a drop down menu. Scroll down and click on Meraviglia. That will give you a list of threads about Meraviglia. Click on JamieLogical’s thread about her 9/24 cruise and go to page 13.

I think it’s called auto corrupt…. EM

Since the short first part of your cruise is not closed loop, I am assuming it is not a US based cruise unless the first is Vancouver to Seattle and the second a r/t Seattle. In which case you would have to ,eave the ship briefly in Seattle. If not a US cruise you do not need to leave the ship. EM

Drinking cranberry juice will help also. EM

Under the galley on any ship is problematic. The area is not carpeted and you will hear carts rolling across the floor all night. Change if you can. EM

Welcome to Cruise Critic. When you joined I believe you were sent an email with a link to the Community Guidelines. I think many people never read them, but one of the items you would have read is that on CC we are not allowed to name or discuss travel agents/agencies. Link to the guidelines is on the menu bar. EM
