  1. Of course the link they provide for more information on Blue Chip club goes to their main website where none of this information has been updated. Still shows the old benefits chart.
  2. Generally the issue happens after you depart the ship and they inventory and restock the mini bar during the turnover. Unless you are diligent you'll never notice. There was a time about 15 years ago where it was pretty common. I personally had it where I was charged ~$150 on 4 different sailings. When called they responded it was the entire contents of the minibar. They instantly reversed the charge without question. We even had it happen when we asked to keep the minibar locked for the entire trip. Lately it just seems like random human error.
  3. It's just an incorrect email from Cruise Planner trying to get you to spend your OBC. No chance you would get on the ship.
  4. I use CruisePlum They are ok to mention here as they don't sell travel. I keep a tab open with all my future sailings and just hit refresh daily.
  5. You mentioned no jets in the solarium hot tubs. We have been on Summit several times since the restart. No jets in any of the public hot tubs onboard. First sailing in Nov of 2021 said they were broken (but all of them??). I haven't inquired since. It seems improbable that they are all non-functional but would have no idea why they would have them intentionally disabled.
  6. The official policy in the lounge is that the premium drinks are complementary, at least I've heard at least one concierge say this. Of course we have all seen/heard of higher end drinks being obtained by the Retreat bartender. I was on one sailing several years ago where a friend asked for Blue Moon beer which was available in the Sky Lounge. The beverage manager would not allow it. That was really stupid.
  7. I'm not sure you have to be up at midnight but do it first thing in the morning if you want an early boarding time. You can do it either on the website or on the App. I suggest using the app at least to select a boarding time. With the app you can go right to that and select a boarding time then return at your leisure to do the rest. On the web you have to provide passport info etc and the checkin time selection is at the very end and you can't skip sections.
  8. I had this issue within the last year since their promos may change 2-3 times over the course of your sailing. Now I have them keep the booking with Celebrity and then have my TA transfer it when I get home. Also any time I see a better deal and can't immediately get hold of of someone to make the adjustment I place a comparable room on hold. Then when I get hold of my TA tell him to deal with it.
  9. Another reasonable option would be to take a shared shuttle like SAS or MJS from POM to FLL airport then take a taxi from FLL to your hotel. Probably < $60 for 2. But I agree Uber/Lyft would be the easiest/cheapest option.
  10. We were on that sailing with you. While the quality of the steak at the lunch buffet wasn't that great but the guy cooking it was fantastic. My wife had it almost daily and convinced others in our group to try and they repeated often. The guy knew how to season a steak. First time ever we tipped someone behind the counter in the buffet. In the MDR I remember at least 1 of the prime rib dinners being very good, but the chateaubriand in the MDR was probably the best cruise meal we have had.
  11. True on bookings made before I think March of 2023. Any non-refundable deposit reservations made in North America after that point are entirely non-refundable. If you cancel you will lose the entire $960 CAD. You can still move the ship/sail date for $100 pp change fee.
  12. Neither of these categories have tubs. Only shower. On Celebrity only Suites have tubs. If you do a move up to a Suite it's not uncommon to get assigned an accessible sky suite which will only have a shower and no tub. If you absolutely require a tub I wouldn't do a MoveUp bid.
  13. If you have no beverage package and are in a suite you only get free drinks in the Retreat lounge, not in Luminae or on the sun deck. You will want to keep your beverage package and wifi.
  14. Many carriers allow seats to be booked before payment, but it has to be done by the Flights By Celebrity agents. I know this is true for United, American and Delta.
  15. Are you sure it's not on the receipt they emailed you. Look for the words "Record Locator" There are usually 2, one says Carrier. That's the one you use on the Airline site.
  16. First Windstar cruise is just over 30 days out. Should I be receiving anything from them in addition to the email "documentation" we received for each passenger? We received this a couple of weeks ago and after a couple of phone calls it's now includes everything we had booked. Is this all we need for boarding? I have filled out the online immigration/household information under My Windstar. Do we just get luggage tags at the port?
  17. This is what I don't understand with Celebrity of recent. If the supplies are onboard then why aren't they available at point of service. Sailing last month in Retreat, asked for Champagne, was offered the $5/bottle stuff said no I'd like the French one from the premium package, told not available, asked for Chandon, not available. Bartender did go to the Cellar Master and retrieved something drinkable. The next day was in the Sky Lounge and they had Chandon so I asked the Retreat bartender and he did get it a day later. About day 5 he produced Montaudon for the rest of the sailing. Even if it was just loaded (which I don't believe) then it should have been available on the second day. I really think they are playing the supply chain issues card as a way to limit consumption of the premium products people have paid for.
  18. Yes it's double points for solo
  19. It's covered here https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/onboard-casinos
  20. So this OBC is not refundable if not used then? Glad I got my TA to apply what he was giving me to my final payment!
  21. Also coming up on my first Windstar sailing. I have booked a couple of excursions in advance but have quite a bit of OBC. Someone said I could have them cancel them onboard and rebook with OBC. Anyone have experience with this. If this works does the cancelled $$ get refunded to original CC or does it go as refundable OBC?
  22. I know how it happened. I clicked on one of those stupid pop ups on the web page enticing me with some OBC on my next cruise by supplying my email address. It didn't say it was registering me for Captains Club. My real Captains Club number had the email that both me and DW share. That's another issue as they will only send emails to one CC member on the shared email. Finally I got someone to move my private email from CC #2 to CC #1 and then delete CC #2
  23. The ships have email. There is no way they can't contact the ship pretty quickly.
