  1. We loved the broadway beats show too. actually, every show we went too (about 70% I think), we enjoyed every one of them, from the full scale, to the indy artists on their guitar and singing. but our favorite was the jazz band. they were fantastic. so great they hired more live musicians! so much better than singers performing with tracks.
  2. Love HMC! And having a cabana when we are able! The cabana prices sure jumped this past year... Hope to get on that gorgeous island again soon!
  3. So simple to sign them up when you check in online. when we got to camp the first time, they looked up our name, and said see you later, no fuss. and like the PP said, what do you have to lose… if you end up not using camp, nothing.
  4. we did B2B on MG this year, we left our hanging clothes on hangers, and just draped them over our suitcases. Everything was moved to our new cabin without a hitch. It was clear both Stewart’s communicated and coordinated. We got the coupon for the photo, and received a bottle of bubbly wine, fruit, and cookies in the cabin, along with a coupon to request more fruit and cookies (not wine) as many times as we wanted. We requested twice. while we waited to run off and back on, all the B2B folks waited in the mid dining room. They had a spread of coffee, tea, juices, cookies, pastries, etc… when I say ran out and back on, it was quick. But very easy.
  5. Caribbean Manhattan!! My favorite Alchemy drink! with three dirty cherries... Please share this recipe!
  6. Love reading about another trip! thanks for sharing your vacation with us!
  7. Thanks so much for sharing your vaca with us! It was so great to relive our MG sailings through your eyes! Loved the ship and experience just as much, and look forward to being back on board!
  8. The beer we had on the brewery tour did not count as part of the 15. We were so sauced that day! It was great!
  9. The two weeks were on MG in June and July, there were definitely folks hanging at the bar at 555. We did too a couple times - always looking for good scotch, sometimes they had it, sometimes, not so much...darn supply chain....
  10. We said the same thing, then on MG this past summer, we signed up for the brewery tour. The spots go quick - don't wait. If you have cheers, you get a discount on the price. So worth the time and couple bucks! Interesting talk about beer, and essentially unlimited beer to drink during the tour. If you love beer, you will be surrounded by a group of new freinds who also love beer... Not only do you get a pint glass to take home with you, you also get a "certificate" that also gives you another pint of beer later on in the week... Do it! and Enjoy!
  11. The system crashed twice while on our B2B sailings on MArdi Gras this past June/July. The line at the MDR was ridiculous, and the wait staff trying to help were of course, no help, not even seemingly understanding the HUB crashed. Had to manually check everyone in, but it took a while since they were not understanding the problem. We must have missed checking in by minutes because many folks cruised right through with their table is ready notice...
  12. We went to Grand Turk on MG in July, no one asked for our Vacc cards when we disembarked. Actually no one asked in any of the ports we went to this summer. Had to show the cards only when we checked in at Port Canaveral. Enjoy your trip! Wish we were going again! A
  13. We had a cabana at Mahoghany Bay. The chair lift was included and unlimited for all in our group. We loved the experience and the beach very much. It is a bit pricey for that one, but we would do it again for sure!
  14. We had YTD in Palm the two weeks we sailed on MG this past summer. The only time we saw the inside of Flamingo was when the B2B group met between sailings. They did have a nice coffee/tea/juice/pastry service set up while we waited. If we had meals in there, I would have missed eating over the aft windows. What a view!
  15. Sadly, no. We used to pre-purchase a bottle of Makers (back when they had Makers on board...), and bring that to HMC, as well as any of the ports we could get our ressie in for a cabana - get some ice, keep it in the mini-fridge, good to go! I miss Makers on board, but certainly not a deal breaker. Back in the day, on Miracle and Pride at Alchemy, they had Makers on tap! Best Caribbean Manhattans ever! They will still make them for me, but no Makers. Ask for 2 extra of the dirty cherries. And in a to go glass - why would you put a Manhattan in a martini glass...on a ship...LOL!
  16. When our father's would take us trick or treating in our neighborhood, they would each bring a shot glass for a different shot at each house. When our mothers did, they brought their wine glasses. Gotta love the 70s!
  17. Great idea with the hooks on the ceiling! I have always brought a small roll of duck tape and tape the extension cord on the floor. We always bring those hooks to hang stuff on the wall. Time to get a few more!
  18. We did a b2b on maradi gras last month, the room service breakfast menu only will show up on the app during breakfast hours. and you have to call it in each morning. no more door hanger orders, missed that… we ordered twice during our two weeks, but it was nice having coffee on the balcony those two early mornings!
  19. We just used park avenue limo again a few weeks ago. been using them for over 10 years, great family outfit, great customer service, average cost. they have a variety of vehicles. http://parkavenuelimousines.com
  20. Just keep an eye on your phone, if you get on local wireless in a different time zone, it will switch, and when ship time does not change, but your phone does, you will be in trouble. This happened to us a few weeks ago - as well as everyone who connected to wireless service... and our phones would not switch back - everyone who this happened to. Folks were so mad they missed activities, dining, etc... The CD had to make several announcements to ask folks to switch back on their phones. LOL! I was able to, but my wife's phone would not let her change time zones until we got back to US cell service. Yikes!
  21. We will see you on board tomorrow! and look forward to reading about our sailing afterward! Andrew, Jess, and Daniel
  22. that Caribbean Manhattan is so good at alchemy.. back in the day, on miracle, they had makers mark on tap for that cocktail. It was so great. I miss makers being available on board…
  23. Love seeing all your pictures again! We have a pool cabana at GT and Amber Cove, and a Mahogany Bay cabana in a couple weeks too! We have had the GT and AC cabanas before, looking forward to it again! Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us!
  24. We are doing the same as you - a few WDW days before boarding. I have used http://parkavenuelimousines.com/ many times taking school groups, safe, reliable, reasonable, and helpful. Decided to use them for our family trip in two weeks too. Used to be a father/son run company, now just son...
  25. 8 days is better than 7, and we have not done a southern itinerary, Celebration would be our choice too!
