To expand on the free drinks, any beverage up to $14 is covered. So, for the Fraps, for example, you can get as many shots of flavors that you wan as long as it doesn’t go over the $14 (try chocolate and coconut. Mmmmmmmmmm,). Same with the shots in the coffee. Want a Powerade on a hot day? Covered. Want Tito’s instead of the rum in the Rum Runner? Ok. Covered. It’s really quite nice now and better than the old system.

Our Freedom December 2024 cruise was just cancelled because they are sending the ship to dry dock. We’ve had it booked since December. An eagle eyed CC user posted a thread on April 30th that all the Freedom cruises had disappeared for a certain timeframe. Royal didn’t send us an email until June 28th informing us and giving us a few other cruises that we could pick from and have our original fare “price protected” with ZERO OBC incentives, which is good because prices across the board have skyrocketed since we booked. Problem is we lost a day of sailing, so we are still paying more, in essence. They did offer some money for non-refundable pre-purchased transportation change fees. Sadly, there was only one sailing that fit my limited schedule. There were some really good sailings had I been able to (like Oasis NYE). The other options we had were to book any other cruise with no price protection but also no change fees OR cancel completely for a full refund.

Oh, no! I’m so sorry! That’s a lot more than the American Amazon. Maybe you can connect with someone on your sailing who would buy them for you and give them to you aboard. The lowest price I see is $18.99 for a 36 count. When do you sail?

Don’t assume. Lol! We had one cruise where they were out of regular pods and only provided us with decaf. That being said, also do a search for “Lavazza Expert Espresso”. The Expert pods will also fit in the machines on board AS LONG AS they aren’t the ones marked with 8 oz (they’ll still fit, but might not brew correctly. It has to do with the grind). Also search for “Lavazza Welcome Kit”. It’s a nice little mix of espresso and decaf. Again…just don’t use the ones that are marked 8 oz. You never know…you might fall in love with the machine and end up getting one as a “souvenir” like my husband did. We started with the one like on the ship and then upgraded after our last sailing one that makes lattes and cappuccinos.

Which is funny to me because they gave me such a hassle on a Fossil watch I bought at an outlet mall in Orlando for $35 back in the day. 😂

They used to, but not since the Compass when “paperless”. I wish they would still include it on the Day 1 digital Compass.

I think it’s getting harder and harder because they aren’t printing the infographic page that has the pictures and bios of the senior officers. And a lot of the time, you can’t hear the announcements.

That’s really strange. The way things before and after your sailing are cancelled would indicate yours should be. We were supposed to sail on December 7th. One of the “replacement” sailings we had to pick from is a NYE cruise. I would hope if/when they cancel yours they’ll give you an NYE option. If not, I would be VERY upset.

Not yet. I can’t do any of the Oasis because of work. Going to try one of the October Freedoms which will mean one less day. Our TA tried several times today to call Royal and kept getting disconnected. So, we’ll see.

Kudos to you for figuring this out earlier. Gave me time to mentally prepare for the email yesterday. Still irritated though.

I’m a little astounded there’s not even an OBC. Kinda of insulting since they’ve had my deposit for many months now.

Anyone can have lunch at the MDR. If you purchase the UDP, you are able to have lunch at whatever specialty restaurants are open on sea days. Lunches are included.

Yes. Delivered. We got the 24 pack and it was almost $50 with the gratuity. Very overpriced for what it actually is. But, we had an onboard credit, so it didn’t hurt as much. It is a convenience fee for me because I can’t physically lug it onboard. Prices skyrocketed over Memorial Day weekend for some reason and haven’t dropped.

As of 2 weeks ago, they were not 1 liter bottles. They were just the regular little, generic purified water.

I concur with this. The food was horrible a few weeks ago when we sailed. Just awful in the MDR and at the WJ. The rest of the trip was great - just not the food. I’ve had better food at Golden Corral.

Just off Adventure two weeks ago. Yes. There wee two shows scheduled each night to accommodate the Traditional Main Dinner times.

No. The menu is the same across all the floors of the main dining room and sometimes the app isn’t correct before your actual sailing. Up until our sailing two weeks ago, the only one that had a menu was the one on Deck 5. But when we boarded, our table was on Deck 3.

The way you write this makes me think you are looking at the old way of using the vouchers where you were limited to what was on the card. They have changed it and you are able to use it for any drink you want up to $14.00 at any time of the day. It’s great!

Capt Jaret Barry was still the Master on the Adventure 5/13 sailing. We thoroughly enjoyed his announcements and his Captain’s Corner…even got a picture with him. So, maybe Capt Standahl was on the ship, but didn’t start until the sailing after?

Nada for the 25th on Adventure last week. Although……….We did have a bottle of champagne waiting on Day 1 with a letter from the Guest Services Manager thanking us for choosing Royal. Not really sure why they sent it. It wasn’t our D+ gift as we received it later in the week. Maybe it was a substitute for the 25th hat. 😂
