  1. On our cruise last month I found the excursion desk extremely helpful. In Halifax we waited over 2 hours standing on a line to get the stickers for the hoho bus purchased through NCL. Meanwhile people were boarding immediately who had just purchased tickets at the port. We spoke very nicely to the excursion desk. They apologized and gave us back half the price. In addition sent a cheese tray and a bottle of wine to our cabin.
  2. When you mentioned Philip from Survivor I thought of the crazy guy running around the island in orange tidy whities. He was a love/hate contestant for us Survivor fans. The cave reminds me of the cave tubing we did on Belize. We didn't go swimming. Just tubing and it was a lot of fun. We are going to Bermuda again in February with NCL. Yes I know it may be cold but don't intend to do any water excursions. Just may visit Crystal Caves or Aquarium. We got a real deal on this. Looking forward to the rest of your adventure.
  3. I think Cinema was insulted by some of the posts and will not come back. I for one was looking forward to his comparisons.
  4. I am doing a B2B cruise on the Pride next May/June and been pricing the fares on FTF and United since August. Originally they seemed to be coming down weekly on both but in the last two weeks they have gone up a few hundred dollars. Today the fare on United came down two hundred and there were plenty of economy seats available. But when I went to the FTF to see the exact flights it said the flexible fare was not available and the non refundable fare was more than United's. Do you think the flexible price will come back? It was about $500 less than United.
  5. Thanks for your replies. I also never got a confirmation for my complimentary Crown Grille reservation. It didn't show up in my final documents under dining. Just said all dining reservations are being handled by the app. Took a screen shot anyways. NCL always sends email confirmations for everything booked...restaurant, internet, excursions, etc.
  6. I just purchased the internet on the medallion app for my upcoming cruise. Was waiting for an email receipt but none came. So I went to my cruise personalizer and looked under on board services and it shows that it was purchased and paid. Is that the only receipt I will have? I printed it out just in case I had to show it when I board to activate it.
  7. Hi Jamie. I met you last year on NCL Breakaway to Bermuda. We, too, usually do NCL but will do our 4th Princess cruise in November on the Enchanted Princess. This will be our first Royal type ship but on the others (Golden, Grand and Crown) which is a ship like yours, we loved that you don't have to make reservations for the shows. We love the shows and back then they had two different ones per night, one in the main theater and one in the Bliss nightclub so we were running back and forth to the various shows. We also loved the Crooners bar. They always had great singers there. We are big coffee drinkers so we purchase the coffee card for "fresh" coffee and specialty coffee. Have a great trip.
  8. The photo of your Fisherman's platter looked like the same thing I wasted my Platinum specialty dinner on at Le Bistro during my Joy cruise in September.
  9. Give me the mountains any time. I do love the surf at the beach but hate the sand. Go figure. Anyway following along happily.
  10. I usually use the AAA card from Bank of America for cruises and other travel like hotel reservations. Bank of America just notified me that the AAA card has been switched to another bank and my account is now closed and another one opened with the new bank with a new number. Do I have to notify NCL and the other cruise lines which I have reservations with or can I just change it at final payment? As for the hotels can I just show up and give them my new credit card? I'm just afraid if I notify them in advance they will change my reservations to the new rate which is greater than when I booked. Thanks.
  11. I know it sounds crazy but we are going to Bermuda in February on NCL Getaway because the price was great and we had to use up some FCC. The ship's excursion to the caves and aquarium is $169pp which is crazy. Even with the $50 off plus 10% off for platinum plus another $50 OBC we have, it will still come out to $209. I went on the caves website and they charge either $24pp for one cave or $35pp for both caves. I heard that you can take the free NCL ferry (if it is running in February) to the buses which take you to the caves. Can you buy just the transportation to the caves or must you buy a daily pass which I think is $19pp? We just want to go to the caves and back. Thanks.
  12. I am booked in D704 on Enchanted which leaves in around 4 weeks from now. I was able to print my luggage tags. Does this mean that they won't try to move me now for quarantine rooms?
  13. So when I tried to make a reservation for both Cagney's and Le Bistro for my upcoming cruise in February the website would not take it and kept repeating "error" please try again. When I changed one to La Cuchina it booked without any problems.
  14. We also have just paid final payment last week. Has anyone ever had success in changing their credit card payment after final payment?
  15. We both came down with covid after our Joy cruise to Canada. I had very little symptoms but my husband was really sick for 2 weeks. He's negative now but still feels like crap. We are on another cruise in 4 weeks and hope he feels better for that.
  16. We ate at Q last monh. They only gave my husband 3 ribs and they were raw so he sent them back and got the Cajun shrimp skewers which I ordered and they were delish.
  17. On NCL no soda allowed. On RCI you may bring on soda and check it with your bags. On Carnival you may bring on soda but must carry it on board yourself. What says Princess?
  18. From your title I thought you were talking about a Grateful Dead concert. LOL🤣
  19. So does this mean you can use one platinum voucher in Cagney's and the other platinum voucher in Le Bistro?
  20. We have done 5 cruises since cruising reopened without having to fly anywhere from the NY/NJ/Baltimore area. We do have one coming up which has flying one way back from Ft. Lauderdale and with all the horror stories I read about flying and cancellations, I'm a little nervous. That is why when I heard that the MSC Miraviglia will be cruising from NY next year I booked an 11 day western Caribbean balcony Fantastica 1 experience on her. You can only go to Eastern, Southern, Bahamas and Canada just so many times. The price I paid was less than an inside on any 11 night NCL ship. I was able to get a late dinner and told that you can get a table for two each night if you ask. If I don't like it I will just chalk it up to been there/done that.
  21. So can you use one coupon in Cagneys and the other coupon in Le Bistro?
  22. Does anyone know which route is better, South or North and could you do both in one day or is it too much?
