  1. I was thinking the same thing! I even worked in Manh. for 20 yrs!
  2. Hi had the same experience. Started checking daily several months ago for our June 27th Venezia cruise and it was always "sold out". I am sure, based on my Magic cruise experience last June, that there will be tons of kids on this cruise. but I still find it strange that all dates have been sold out months ahead
  3. Anyone have any recent experience parking at the NYC pier? I frequently cruise out of Manhattan but usually use a car service or a family member drops me off. It's been about 5 yrs since I parked there and it was easy then. I will be driving there in June and am wondering how it is now. Is there a possibility that the lot will fill up and that parklng will not be available? My plan is to arrive by 10 am but NYC rush hour traffic has a mind of it's own and can be very unpredictable. TIA
  4. Loving your reviews and videos. You keep things interesting!
  5. Europe in October is my favorite time to be there. Weather is cooler and the crowds have left. Have a wonderful cruise!
  6. Love the video! Great tour and narration! Looking forward to more!
  7. Never ever thought about cruising until I won a cruise on Holland American for high sales from the company I was working for in 1991. Went on the cruise with my family and that was it. Hooked big time! Now, 60+ cruises later will be cruising with my adult kids and my grandchildren on their first cruise in June on the Venezia! Life has come full circle!
  8. Have sailed out of NYC,,usually pier 88 for Carnival, numerous time and the terminal is usually very crowded early in the day but lines seem to move along if not fast at least steadily once they begin to move. I am thinking that by your arrival time of 1pm and boarding time of 230pm that you will not experience any of the earlier craziness and that your boarding experience will probably be quick and easy.
  9. Following along. Happy to see that you will be posting a review and looking forward to your YouTube videos. We will be on the ship in June with grandkids so am interested in hearing about activities that will interest them. Originally booked on Magic, which I have been on several times so knew what kind of things would be available for them, but now have no idea about Venezia. Have a safe and uneventful flight!
  10. Can't wait to read your review! Will be on the Venezia in June so looking forward to your comments and observations!
  11. Following along. Love your humor! Will be on the MG in Jan. so looking forward to your review!
  12. Just got off the Spirit last week from an Alaska cruise. For me it was the perfect cruise. All staff encountered were outstanding. Everyone of the staff was friendly, helpful and took time to chat for a few minutes. The ship is a perfect size. Not too big and not too small. Rarely did I encounter lines with more than a few people. Regarding the food I found it to be good to very good. I did encounter a few items that I didn't like so I just ordered something else. I did really like most of the fish dishes and thought the Beef Wellington was outstanding! I thought the Italian food was just ok but then I live in an area where great Italian food is standard so my opinion is slanted! I loved the Spirit and would book her again in a heartbeat!
  13. Well, I see that we are still the only people going on this cruise! It will be nice to have the whole ship to ourselves! I haven't been on CC because I was away for the past month so really expected to check back in and see lots of comments from other cruisers. Maybe its because the ship has a lot of new cruisers booked who are not familiar with CC. I am guessing that there will be tons of kids on this cruise. I tried to booked the green eggs and ham breakfast for the grands when initially released and was already sold out.
  14. Thanks for posting about your experience, it was exactly the information I was looking for. I am on an Elite cruise in June on the Venezia and I can't find the Elite cruise promo that I thought I saved. Duh. Could you provide a bit more detail about the 11pm nightly drawings? Thanks.
  15. Loving you review! Thanks for taking the time to do it.
  16. My favorite places: Venice and sailing in or out on the Grand Canal. Eze Bergan Bruges Santorini MajorcaI Iceland Prince Edward Island Newfoundland Sint Maarten Dublin
  17. Mine are red, I am platinum and I printed after completing check in.
  18. Not only can the B2B experience be different ship to ship but it and also differ on the same ship! We sailed the Magic out of NYC last year and we were directed to bring our passports and meet in the night club. Immigration came onboard checked our passports and that was it. 15 minutes. We didn't have to get off the ship. Easy and quick. Then we were dismissed and drank a mimosa! Have a great cruise! B2B's are great!
  19. Thanks for posting. Have wanted to do this cruise for a while but life got in the way and could never fit it in to the schedule. This time it worked and I just booked the 8/18 cruise! Again, thanks for the info!
  20. Me too! I am on the June 27th cruise so will be looking for info from the TA folks and the June 19 cruisers.

Am really looking forward to cruising on the Veneqia So happy that we will now have a ship sailing year round from NY. I will be sailing with my adult kids and 2 grandsons.
