  1. Yup., you just need to spin a few times.. thats the key..,then cash out …
  2. You must not cruise often… loosen up 😂😂
  3. Of course not… His/her cruise card controls that. And your entitled to your opinion as am I. They do not check IDs therefore if a person ( middle aged teenager) is sitting on a lounger with airpods in , minding their business and reading a book… why should we care?? Im in vacation. If this i such a big deal and you want 100% compliance …. Why dont you suggest to the powers to be at RCL to place an employee at entrance to check IDs?? This will never happen.
  4. She will be with you...not a group of kids. Don't think twice about it!!
  5. Don't even worry about it. Most girls look older than they really are....plus she will be with you or her grandma..... No one will think twice. Proceed as you were planning!
  6. I doubt he/she will be even checked. This is more to control groups of teenagers. Just bring your 16 year old in with you. Enjoy your cruise.
  7. Most definitely... My 8 year old grandson had a blast! Fish , turtles and of course the Aligator. Plus they have a pool you can swim in along with lunch offerings.
  8. Fortunately... it doesn't appear the decline hasn't hit US market.... then again MSC hasn't been as established as in the European market so not as much past history to compare to
  9. Sorry Morph.... Its not ship related....was hoping some could read between the lines in hoping for a new direction and getting back on track. If I state in detail ....50/50 chance I will get equal thumbs up and thumbs down (LOL)
  10. "We are some of the very few here that won't do YC. Just not for us. Period". Curious why you say this?? I'm just an average Middle class person....low frills... but saw this type experience as a bargain?! Especially when you factor in the drink package (included). I cruised with my grandchild and was outside YC all the time....it was just nice to have a quieter area...with service which exceeded my expectations and the help of a Butler (when needed)...mostly to side step crowds.
  11. we can only hope the entitlement attitude gets a major shakeup in 16 months!
  12. I think you will see a significant savings booking YC vs Celebrity retreat.... and based on reviews YC outshines Retreat ...$$ not withstanding. I cruised 20x on ships in a balcony and will be going on my 3rd YC cruise in November. Almost Everything you stated as negatives would be non existent if you stayed in YC....and your food issues would be resolved big time!! The beauty of YC is you have superior service, meals, etc . You can choose to spend your whole cruise in this section...or just walk the ship daily and enjoy other areas. As I have stated many times.... when booking my 1st MSC cruise...and being a seasoned cruiser.... I read between the lines on all reviews and used YC as my safety net to ensure a beautiful cruise.... Was not disappointed and it exceeded my expectations.
  13. Perhaps....but as nice as the Sports Bar is...much unused space for most of cruise ...so makes sense they look at other revenue opportunities. I am ok with this...Sports Bar was overly huge on Seaside and I imagine a similar footprint on Seascape
  14. Because there would be a written trail of conversation. MSC is still the King of inconsistent communication ....
  15. Nope... not me..lol. I am just a a mere mortal. I will be in a basic deluxe suite. I did post a while back that I did bid on a upgrade for a Royal (on a previous cruise). The funny thing is the person who had booked that cabin replyed saying he was in that Suite and not going anywhere😄 Excited to hear you will also be on Thanksgiving cruise. Would love to meet you guys!!
  16. Yes..seems pretty common. I use online booking agencies (.com's) and I got $800 OBC for our YC booking

    Why

Another post just said watching ship arrive...it was 10:30
  18. You can still do that...Just go to Casino , as stated above, and apply cashout to balance on your account. FYI...Sometimes it takes up to a couple days for OBC to show on your account
  19. As I will too🙂....I think I misunderstood your response
  20. Suggest you read recent reviews and live threads...especially from Morpheous and Jules815... You will gain alot info to your questions
  21. Loved the Seaside...our first 2 MSC cruises were on her
  22. No...YC always has its own inclusive Pool buffet area ...Seaside had 2 buffet areas for anyone.
  23. Itchy..we will be with you on this cruise.... I guess you could allow your kids to use some of your OBC at the ice cream parlour at back of ship. Also...I notice your concern about Marketplace. I really haven't studied the floor plan of Seascape yet. However when we cruised on Seaside...I recall that ship had 2 buffet areas...Perhaps not on Seascape?? One was on deck 15?? A smaller version which was also used for afternoon and late evening snacks?? Eventhough we were in YC...I had my 9 year old grandson with me and I recall taking him in after playing at Jungle pool and sports court
  24. Morph...you amaze me!! Another YC cruise!! Couldn't agree more with your opening post. Its been a few years since we've been on MSC...But YC #3 coming up over Thanksgiving on Seascape. Have a wonderful cruise and I also look forward to following your thread!!
