  1. Have you ever walked through a Airport Terminal in Europe?? You will see military/police with rifesover their shoulder
  2. I was on Odyssey last Thanksgiving and ship was completely decorated before we got off!! So you will have decorations galore!
  3. Depends when you go in December....Around the Holidays there will be lots of kids....I would suggest renting a Cabana/beach house /hut. You will have your own area and ,limited people around. Plus have access to main area and food. If you lokk at the excursion page for Labadee on your RCL reservation link ...it will show options and prices. Note the price offered is for the Hut...not PP
  4. Yes...Dunns Rivers Falls is their main tourist attraction in this area. You will be safe...but you will be hounded by Vendors and photographers (during climb and after) as you exit the attraction. My suggestion just keep on moving and ignore them. Similar souvenirs at booths by Pier
  5. Dunn River Falls isn't a good idea at that age... I would recommend a ship sponsored tour like to a plantation, botanical gardens , rain forest, etc. You can also walk around the shops at the pier. There used to be a Jimmy Buffet margaritaville on the beach in that complex which had a pool too. But apparently it closed. Those would be your safest options IMO
  6. Well atleast the Security Guards at Labadee walk around with Machine Guns... Criminals in NY care less since if arrested in morning they will be back on streets in time for lunch!
  7. Does that surprise you ?? LOL I would take a row boat to Hait before flying Spirit!
  8. This unrest has been going on for years...same Level Advisory! It is safe and enjoyable. We were just there several months ago
  9. Nashna...No worries ..Your font was readable on my Iphone and laptop. Disregard the haters...I pads are old anyway..lol
  10. Inetersting timing.... With Icon and Utopia soon sailing huge $$ maker for Bahamas especially with Utopia just doing 4 /3 day cruises to Coco Cay and Nassau!!
  11. Never will happen.... Best chance would be if they limit 2 to Cabin...but that impacts $$ or causes a higher price. Realistically they could put a age limit (i.e. 12 and over)
  12. Sure thing...hahaha. With the mass of humanity trying to board ships in FL....they barely glimpse at Passports and BC's. But believe what you want
  13. I wouldn't count on it...Just cruised on RCL several months ago...not even a look at my grandson. Paperwork (BC) , photo taken and move forward. However I do agree you need to carry and why on earth wouldn't you have had it notarized anyway???
  14. Yes...but when your enjoying cocktails most of the day and have a "heavy" late afternoon snack.... the desire to get cleaned up and sit thru a long dinner becomes a little less of a priority ...lol
  15. Its good to have with you...But you likely will not be asked o show it. Cruised 5x with my grandson between ages 5-13 and never was asked for it at embarkation or customs. All were Eastern/Southern and/or Western Carribean 7 day or longer cruises. His last name was different from ours too!
  16. Thanks for the insight Morph! I appreciate the different perspectives. I always tip extra ... Glad I have!
  17. Perhaps ....its more of a light dinner option. Menu items look more "gastro" type food. Lets face it ...they feed you pretty good at the One Pool until late afternoon if you decide to participate!...and I on several occassions was not really hungry or interested in sitting thru a formal dinner. Also Europeans are much more family oriented and group together...Perhaps they are trying it out??
  18. Yes... in earleir years it seemed Formal nights they would take over the staircases, etc but always would have photograpers in corners, with their setups on other nights near Atrium area. Now they are all over the place... I agree it can be frustrating especially when you have Late seating and the masses from both dinners are out in force
  19. Where were you sitting...LOL.... Plenty of little enclaves and other small beaches. I was there earlier this year and while I did see transportation carts....those were when we walked by the paths...sitting on beach herad nothing other than the occasional scream of zipliners
  20. Is that in addition to to the daily gratuities/serv charged to your account for each passenger??
  21. How many times have you cruised before?? This has been a common occurence on most lines since I began cruising in 90's. I don't see it changing
  22. I love Sea Days.... So I would lean Labidee.... Also Labidee if you want a chill Beach day....If you want more options and $$ isn't a issue Coco Cay
  23. You are so right Morph...I was chuckling when Jeal politely recommended you try Aurea. I guess he/she doesn't understand your open candor. Like you I would NEVER EVER sail MSC outside Yacht Club! Enjoying your daily recaps!!
  24. If we all took this approach and never gave a service provider another chance…we will soon be out of options. But I understand it hits home more when your personally impacted!
