  1. Bummer. Getting on next week for 20 days. Hate to hear of continuing cutbacks.
  2. Out of FCD's and get on Enchanted on the 9th. Guessing I can buy some and book while on board? What is the current allotted time to turn over to your TA if you book with Princess? TIA.
  3. Confused by that as we are in one on the Enchanted in two weeks. It's just the two of us.
  4. I preface many things these days as "Before COVID". Yes, we were able to re-fare but stayed in the same cabin but this was before COVID when Princess (Carnival) was much more financially sound. I'm not sure how it would work if you were changing cabins as that sounds like a new booking and I doubt that your bids would follow you to the new cabin.
  5. Since the cruise has paid for it should not be an issue. We had similar issues with FCC's for the same reason and that entirely paid for our upcoming 20 day cruise. DH recently had foot surgery and hope that he is "released" for travel. If not, I'm going solo!
  6. Same. Hate to say what we paid but we've lost more than that on other poor choices. I'll take the OBC and move on and not look back..
  7. I posted this exact problem this past Sunday which didn't get much traction but see it has happened to other people as well. Our excursion was in Puerto Rico next month. I understand that some people have been notified while others (like ourselves) have not. Best to keep your eyes on your excursions...
  8. @PescadoAmarillo Thanks for the post. We will be on a similar cruise at the end of January and wonder if NZ and AU will be forced to "shut down" again. Sad to see the posting by @azbirdmom as we are on that 20 day cruise as well on the Enchanted. Fingers crossed for those affected.
  9. The storm is now over us in the Tampa Bay area. Look for other flight options but you should have no problem with a flight arriving the night before. We actually fly from here the night before and don't worry about it. We get in about the same time of night as you will for your cruise. Enjoy!
  10. Thx. I expect most places accept Visa or MC if not carrying a lot of cash but I got the impression that some companies will charge a service fee if using a credit card. Do you know if that's true? How about the use of debit cards? We'll be spending several days in both Auckland and Sydney and expect to get some local currency but didn't want to end up with too much foreign currency to be "re-exchanged". I appreciate any guidance you can give.
  11. That makes sense except that our Princess cruise around NZ (but ends in Sydney) prices excursions in NZ in AUD. Just wondering why?
  12. Bought some while i Bora Bora from a gentleman on the outskirts of "town" but don't remember his name. He was recommended and seemed very fair.
  13. I didn't see a thread related to this and am curious if this has recently happened to someone else or if there is a reason that you know of that would cause this to happen. I booked a Princess excursion several months ago for a cruise next month (12/9 - 12/29) and it has since simply disappeared from my cruise personalizer and their website. It was an excursion in Puerto Rico and I don't know if it was due to lack of interest or unresolved damage in the area where we were to go but thought they would have sent us an e-mail notification. Any thoughts? I rarely book cruise tours but have not had this happen before..
  14. Yes, just did it two days ago with two different types of OBC (FCD and current $100 excursion OBC offer).
  15. Yup. Old exit 8A back in the day when Plainsboro was still a farm town.. we'll be on Enchanted for 3 weeks next month so interested in following. Enjoy.
  16. Thanks. I wondered about that as well as I very rarely take a Princess excursion, however, we are about to use their excursions next month and the following month as both cruises were booked so last minute.
  17. We only book flexible airfares and you will be ticketed 45 days prior to your flight or cruise whichever is earlier unless you request to be ticketed prior to the deadline. We are about to do that as we leave in less than 3 months and want to upgrade directly with the airline using points and can't do that until we are ticketed. BTW, we paid in full yesterday.
  18. EZ air # is on the website but we simply book online. I like the flexibility that EZAir offers by letting you fly into a different city than the departure port. We did a TA from Barcelona ---> FLL and were allowed to fly into Lisbon a full 6 weeks prior to our cruise at a great price. It was just before COVID so not sure if it still works the same way. Just finished booking flights for a last-minute NZ cruise and will say that we watched the prices climb roughly $1K within the last week and regret waiting as long as we did but had no choice..
  19. I agree. It's my signal that I've made it on board and vacation has started!
  20. We usually bring a 12 pack of canned sodas as it's not always easy to find caffeine free diet sodas. I've also tried to find small cans of cranberry juice by the FLL cruise port but have always come up empty!
  21. Agreed as those prices are all over the place depending on when you booked. Our minimum bids were much higher than what I've seen reported here and actually backed down our bids after seeing some comments on here.
  22. Curious. Is that Elite date or general release? TIA.
  23. Agree which if most often what we do but would suggest keeping an eye on the excursion daily (if possible) as we were able to book a Princess excursion recently for our cruise next August to Greenland when everything had been sold out and can only guess that someone canceled.
