  1. I have read the best way for a couple to use it is for two separate days on one account, then a package for the remainder of the cruise with the other person’s account. Is it possible to combine the D+ benefit with the Prime discount?
  2. I ordered the entree caprese salad. It was a bowl of mixed salad greens, three balls of tasteless mozzarella, and one cherry tomato cut into quarters, with no salad dressing. Some of the other food was good, most was mediocre, and the caprese salad was a joke.

  7. Thank you, I was able to purchase internet! I already have an account (two cruises on the Divina back in 2014 and one earlier this month). I went to the section “Already Purchased”, which showed nothing. I tried again to make a purchase and tonight when I clicked “add to my cruise”, the “add to cart” pop up appeared; yesterday, nothing happened. I can now also see “Status: Booked” on the purchase page and also the “Already Purchased” section. Thank you to all of you for your help! Edited to add: I also received the “successful payment” message.
  8. I was unable to find the description earlier, but just tried again and found it, thanks. I had clicked on “add to my cruise” for both browse and browse and stream, but cannot see any further info or verification or a charge to pay. Nothing shows up under “already purchased”. I am afraid I have added both options and will wind up canceled because of a balance due. I think a better question would have been, “How can I see what I have ordered and how can I pay for it?” I will probably have to call them. I just booked this morning for July 20 and was so proud because I did the entire check-in this time with no problems and no reason to call.
  9. I was looking at internet packages and wanted to know if the price shown was for the entire cruise or only one day. I “added to cruise”, hoping to see more information. Now I can’t find anything that indicates what I might have done. Where can I find that information?
  10. We enjoy watching our bags move from the terminal onto the ship and to our cabin door. But I hope we never need them as badly as you did!
  11. One more place to look - Years ago, I thought I lost my DL while on a cruise. The next time I prepared to cruise, I was counting one-dollar bills in a bank envelope to see how many I had left, and my license slid out of the stack. Do you have a stack of cash somewhere?
  12. I have been to Belize only once, on my first cruise in 2004. We went to the ruins because it seemed like the best option for my late DH, who was 1.5 years into a 2 year battle with lung cancer. It is the one port I have avoided since then, and I can’t decide if that is because I associate it with cancer or because I have read some not favorable reviews. I would like to have a better attitude towards it because more and more cruises seem to include Belize. Hoping to see some reasons to try it again in this thread.
  13. Frequent cruisers have to fit in passport renewals in between cruises, resulting in short windows of opportunity.
  14. We are just one tiny step ahead (?) of you. I downloaded the app to my SO’s phone several cruises ago. It has never been used because his phone stays in the safe while he depends on me to take care of everything.
  15. I had to ask for washcloths on the May 7 sailing. The steward had to ask her supervisor and brought two the next day. I brought two from home, so we used those the first day. Once we used the ones she brought, she ignored them hanging in the shower. We then put the used washcloths on the shower floor with wet towels. She took them away and did not replace them.

I had a battery pack with me, but had just purchased it in September for our latest hurricane, did not need it then, and completely forgot I even had it. And the lights…. I could not find a way to apply makeup without those overhead lights shining down on me and creating shadows on my face.
  19. Unless you all arrive very early on embarkation day, the chances of finding 3-4 empty tables in the same area are slim. It might be better to gather at a specific area after lunch.
  20. Last week on the Seaside we tried another card, but only the MSC card would work. Very annoying to not be able to charge my phone while out of the cabin.
  21. I have a final payment due to Celebrity on May 29 and have been putting it off while I check daily for another Amex offer. I haven’t received the offer for Royal, either.
  22. I think the key to successfully/easily booking with MSC is to keep it simple. Think carefully about what you want before booking so you can avoid calling to make changes, and do only what is required.
  23. Because I attempted to add cc info and the website malfunctioned (my name associated with a card that is not mine), I had to go to Guest Services and explain three times what the problem was. A supervisor was eventually able to remove that card and allow us to use the kiosk with the correct card. That took way more time and trouble than it should have. I will not enter cc on future cruises.
  24. MSC has a special phone line for help with online checkin, because they really, really need it 🙄. I had four problems with mine and had to call. I input my SO’s credit card number (because it insisted mine was not valid) and it somehow inserted my name as “name on card”. I am not on that account and knew it would not end well, but I couldn’t change it. When I called I was told I had to change it on board. I will not even bother trying to input the cc info next time.
