Last month I did an Alaska cruise tour. I stayed at the Denali Wilderness lodge. It is spread out and they shuttles to get you from your building to the main lodge. It was too spread out for my liking. The restaurants were high priced but across the street were some nice eateries. The Mt Mckinley lodge is also spread out but not quite as much and also has a shuttle to get you around. The restaurants were good and reasonably priced. The biggest drawback was no WiFi in your room, only in the lobby of the main building. In Anchorage the Cooks Hotel was by far the nicest. The rooms were large and the restaurants good and coffee makers in the room. WiFi was also in your room.

I cruised earlier this month and traded my mini bar out by calling room service.

They are not in the city they are COUNTY. Los Angeles is a very big county. If staying at the Doubletree Hotel in San Pedro they have complimentary shuttles to the pier.

Last week they had only 2 puppies and only person at a time per puppy got to come into the piazza at a time and spend a minute or two petting the puppy. With over 2000 pax do the math if you aren't in the first 100 in line!

The sky train is $6 for seniors and is at the airport and ends at Waterfront about 4 blocks from the pier. Cabs in Canada use a flat rate from airport to Canada Place and was about $30 Canadian dollars which is cheap for US after you convert

Recently on the Discovery and many suite perks were missing. No more tote bags, no satin sleep bags, no Q-Tips, no bath salt crystals, no slippers and worst of all No Perrier water in the mini fridge, they substituted small bottles of some other water. I can't remember all the little perks that were gone. Reserve class was great and Sabitini breakfasts were top notch. Also being in a full suite we were invited to the 360 experience dinner which we liked.

They had it last week on the Grand and the prize was a small blue notebook with the sea witch embossed on the cover. If you want to win a bottle of bubbly that's the prize in the Yes - No game

I flew Air Canada two weeks ago to get to my Alaska cruise. I paid $61 to pick my aisle seat. If you wait until 24 hours prior to your flight you can pick your seat at no cost.

It sounds like Princess is loosing both the 10% discount from the AARP cards AND the commission they give the TA which is unaffordable to the company

Was at Captain Cook Hotel last week. Princess has a desk set up for you to get what ever you need. It was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our Cruise Tour.

Which Princess Lodges are you staying at? I just did a cruisetour last week. The Princess Wilderness lodge was okay the Mt McKinley lodge does not have internet in the rooms and Captain Cook in Anchorage was the best.

If you don't drink and need only one wifi device it's not worth anything.

Many people don't use the APP me for one. You can get a regular cruise card at guest services or use the medallion to open your door or make purchases and not use it with a phone or reader board.

If they are in your cabin then they have your privileges'. If they are not in your cabin then no, it's not a perk they earned and are crowding a space reserved for those who earned the perk.

Get a second cabin even if it's a balcony cabin because four adults do not really do well in anything shy of a full suite.

Bad value to my way of thinking. Mostly high calorie non alcoholic drinks and I only need one wifi for one computer that I can share. I also reduce my gratuity to $12 PP PD so for my way of thinking it's a very poor value

I carry my full sized suitcase through the scanners every time, no problem.

I always carry my full sized suitcase onboard at embarkation and unpack right away. IF and it's not common your suitcase doesn't fit thru the scanner they will take it from you and it will get delivered as if you had given it to a porter.
